This is… surprisingly annoying.
Six and YesMan have been in the wasteland for at LEAST two hours. Where the fuck was that last raider? She and YesMan killed the first few, but had one run off on them. What's worse, the rocky terrain is making it hard for YesMan to navigate his surroundings, effectively slowing him down and dragging this all out even more.
She glances behind herself, looking at YesMan, who’s obediently following her as best as he can. Bloods on his screen, along with his usual smile.
…She remembers she bit him a day ago. He didn’t seem to mind though, it’s fine.
Six heaves, looking away from YesMan and around the wasteland, deciding fuck it. No raider, might as well check in on YesMan. Dudes been oddly quiet.
Six stops in her tracks and changes course to the right a bit, absentmindedly resting her rifle on the side of a large rock and settling down on the rough top of it.
“Hey. You doin’ good over there?” She motions for him to come over, patting her lap. YesMan looks like he perks up somehow.
He wheels over to her, stopping a few feet in front of where she’s sitting. He does look a bit confused at the abrupt change of pace, but he also seems amused by her request. He raises a claw to Six, adjusting some of her hair out of her face and ignoring her grunt.
“..You are aware that I’d crush you if I sat there?”
“Yeah? I know, that’s the point.” Six pats her lap twice more.
“Do it, pussy. I can take it.” She taunts, smiling at him. No way in hell he’s gonna do it, he’s like two tons of metal. Her legs would immediately be crushed-
“Alright, If you’re so sure about it!”
Six makes a noise that sounds like they were punched in the throat.
“uhg-“
..Is he just not using his new programming or is he fucking with her? The look on his face tells her that he’s fucking with her. Now she’s actually gotta pull through. shit. She hears him chuckle to himself.
“What’s the matter, Six? You sounded pretty confident in yourself!”
Evil. The smug look on his face. Eyes half lidded and staring down at her with a smirk. Hell no, she’s gotta get his ass for this one.
“It’s fine. Im fine.” She tries and fails to hide her strange flustered noise as she lies through her teeth, “..Just come here. I think I know how to do this without dying on the spot.”
Without waiting for a response from YesMan (probably was going to be sarcastic anyways), Six gently tugs him forward by hooking her fingers into the ridge of his chest keypad and pulling. She probably wouldn’t have been able to drag him forward without him willingly following, so at least she’s got that going for her. He’s fine with this. Hell yeah.
YesMans chassis bumps into her knees, lightly pushing the Courier back from the gentle force of it. She pats the side of his body awkwardly.
“I swear I know what I’m doing.”
“I trust you! Take as much time as you need.”
Ohh he’s trying to kill her.
She takes a moment, looking between YesMan and her lap as if trying to visualize how the hell shes going to pull this off. “Okay. I think I got it?”
“I knew you could figure it out!” YesMan doesn’t know whether to feel like an absolute bastard for finding this funny, or feel amused at the sight of a human trying to get him to sit on her lap. It’s endearing to him, anyway.
“..Just don’t crush me. I have bones and you don’t.”
“No need to brag, Six!”
Six shifts around on the rock slightly. Trying to figure out how to go about this. She grabs YesMan by one of the ridges on his shoulders and pulls him in more, tugging him in between her legs and resting his upper body on them. Not comfortable, but it gets the job done. She’s essentially got YesMan ‘sitting’ in her lap. An odd ego boost from figuring that out.
…She’s got YesMan in her lap.
Almost immediately after that sinks in, she goes completely red and sputters. Oh fuck. She honestly wasn’t expecting to get this far. Which means either she’s really clever, or YesMan’s just humoring her and is going to watch her suffer. Thankfully YesMan doesn’t seem to notice her going insane over this.
YesMan rests his claws on her shoulders, looking slightly surprised. And concerned.
“This isn’t crushing you, right? You’re okay?”
“I’ve had worse.” Six manages with a grimace, still trying to keep a straight face. She’s trying so hard to keep still she’s shaking. The big claws that are now on her shoulders aren’t helping. Or the big grin that’s currently on YesMans face.
She hesitates before attempting to wrap her arms around him. They don’t even manage to make it all the way around his chassis, ending up going barely past YesMans sides. YesMan hums, returning the gesture with much more success.
…YesMans warm. She shouldn’t be surprised, due to all the functions and procedures he’s got going on inside of him, but he feels warmer than usual.
Six rests her head against YesMans screen and tries to relax against him. She’s warming up too and she knows it, and probably is going to die at this rate.
The Courier is silent for a moment, trying to figure out which part of this is bothering her more, the fact that YesMan can probably see the blush on her face and feels how hard her heart is beating, or that she just did all of this on a whim.
God, this is kinda nice though. Being able to be this close. She should do this more often-
A shot suddenly rings out in the air.
Whoever did it was obviously aiming at Six and YesMan, though they had horrible aim and ended up missing both of them completely. It sounds like the shot came from a nearby abandoned building.
“..damn it. There he is.”
It’s honestly a wonder how silent that raider had been. Did he see everything that just happened?
Sixes' hands slip from YesMans chassis and fall into her lap. YesMan moves back, allowing her to get up.
“..I can deal with this. Don’t want you getting a flat tire or something. I’ll be back.”
Six pats YesMans side again, turning to the direction of the house.
“Let’s hope this one doesn’t struggle.”
