“Well if you really have no choice… Can you at least show me your face? I’ve always wanted to know what’s under there, and if these are my final moments.. Then please, just grant that wish…” My face? He actually wants to see what underneath? I hummed in amusement. I thought about it for a second before nodding.

“Fine. You will be dead after so I guess I have no worry about you telling someone.” I said softly, I reached for my mask and slid it off. Looking into his eyes with my own mismatched ones all I could see in his eyes was an emptiness.

    “You’re…”

    “Hideous, I know.”

“No, you’re beautiful…” My eyes widened, I faltered slightly, almost dropping my gun.

“Beautiful?” I asked, voice small. He just nodded. Tears flooded my vision, I could hear him walking closer to me, then I felt it. His arms wrapping around me, pulling me into a tight embrace.

    “I-...”
“Shh..Let them out.” That’s all I needed to hear before the floodgates opened up and I sobbed openly into his suit, I dropped my mask and the gun, clenching his suit in my fists. He just rubbed my back.

“Black.” I looked up at him through my tears.

“I’m…so sorry..” That’s the last thing he said to me before I felt a blinding pain in my back, I screeched and pushed him away, looking down I could see the end of a knife sticking out of me.

“You…Why..?” I fell to my knees, I heaved and coughed. Growling I grabbed the gun right as the doors opened, he didn’t make it very far before I shot him in the leg making him fall over with a yelp. I panted, putting back on my mask and struggling to get onto my feet. I stumbled over to him, still crying, and pointed the gun at his head.

“It was a lie wasn’t it?”

“Of course! You’re fucking hideous just like you said, a freak of nature!” He glared up at me. I pulled the trigger.
