To be fair to herself, Etie hadn’t originally planned to share this training session with anyone else. This is the sort of thing that she prefers to do in private, but when Alear shows up and asks to join in, she can’t very well turn him away. Instead, she just has to be a little more careful, and she assures herself that she shouldn’t have any problems. After all, the whole point is to train her endurance, so really, having someone around might be better for her.
But she does already have to piss quite badly, and knows that she does not have much time left before she is done in. She can tell herself to keep fighting as much as she wants to, and she can push her limits more and more each time she trains, but once her limit is reached, there is nothing else she can do but give in. Etie has learned that lesson time and time again while training on her own, but it always feels worth it, when it means that she gets a little tougher each time. Her bladder is never going to cost her on the battlefield, she can be sure of that.
It’s just that, she isn’t invincible yet and never will be, and without any exit strategy, being careful doesn’t amount to all that much. When she pushes herself to the edge, she doesn’t have a chance to get away, and if Alear is still training with her when that time comes- which he is- then he has to be present for the moment that her control slips for good, and she starts to piss herself, right then and there.
She could be proud that she’s made it longer than ever before, but she’s more concerned with her divine witness.
