Work Text:
The warm lights of the hotel lobby illuminate the place like thousands of stars in a deep night. The rain outside causes a low noise that is drowned out by the classical music, for which the man in the light blue suit is grateful.
Leaving his umbrella, coat and other things with a polite employee, Lan Qiren stops for a moment in front of a tall mirror that covers an entire wall, adorned with golden arabesques whose artist is probably a foreign European whom the man recognizes thanks to his techniques.
His short hair was combed back, without a single strand out of place. There are dark spots under the brown eyes. His face free of any beard or goatee - thanks to the damn student who messed with him and destroyed his beautiful goatee, and the state of growth wasn't handsome or elegant enough for the evening's event, so Lan Qiren found himself with no choice but to was shaving it all off again - which left him looking younger, almost as if he was back in his early twenties, like a college freshman.
His light blue suit with the darker blue inner vest contrasted perfectly, and Lan Qiren could almost think that the night would be good. Except he's not excited about that get-together at all.
Cang Qiong's college was the biggest and highest ranked among all, encompassing several areas and districts and of course it was an honor to be a member of the faculty. Lan Qiren loved teaching, even if he didn't feel satisfaction or even an ounce of passion for the field he taught, so he was truly happy that his students were successful and brought prestige to the college.
Tonight was to celebrate an important award for the biology department, the niece of one of the professors had written a magnificent doctoral thesis and it was simply an unparalleled success. There was a party with the students and held especially to honor the student in question, tonight was just an extravagant social gathering for the faculty to enjoy.
Lan Qiren hated parties, but he came, after all it was what was expected of him. It was the least he could do, representing the Lan family, who have a long career in the field of law as lawyers, judges and other important positions representing justice, but Lan Qiren preferred the educational field, and the closest he could get His previous dream was to become a law professor at the number one law school in the country.
At least this way the elders in his family would be happy and accept his wishes. He was lucky to be the second son and to have such a successful, incredible brother, the best judge the family has ever produced.
Until everything gave wrong , that his brother went astray and married a woman who definitely had a lot of things wrong with him and he helped sweep those crimes under the rug.
Lan Qiren was furious with his brother, of course, and almost decided to make use of his role as a lawyer, even though he never actually took a case.
Then came his nephews and Lan Qiren's hands were tied as to what to do, because how could he put the mother of those two boys in a situation where she would probably be arrested - the elders in the family definitely wanted that - and be okay with his own conscience?
Fortunately or unfortunately, Lan Qiren's moral battle was short-lived, as after a few months of little Lan Zhan being born, his sister-in-law died.
It wasn't pretty, his health deteriorated quickly, no one really understood what was happening until she just….Gone.
Lan Qiren's brother didn't last long after that, leaving Lan Qiren without a brother and two children to raise.
Of course, Lan Qiren did his best with his nephews. He raised them and loved them as best he could, even though he himself wasn't that good with emotions, he was a good teacher, he knew how to teach, Lan Qiren was a teacher, even if a young teacher, so he did his best in teaching his nephews - practically his children - everything he could.
Lan Qiren hated parties, but he tried to make his nephews learn to socialize. It was important, even if he didn't like it. He taught them how to be what they wanted, but also to be what their elders wanted, because it was necessary.
He had an extra reason to hate parties the last few days. Not in the mood to see people.
Why did his nephew, Lan Wangji, basically run away with a student from another area that Lan Qiren himself nicknamed “Hellmouth”.
Lan Wangji met Wei Wuxian at the university's music workshop. One of the many extra courses his nephew expressed interest in and Lan Qiren allowed. It was just a hobby, it wouldn't hurt. Lan Qiren occasionally passed by the club, of course, to check on his nephew, not because it was right next to the literature club that Lan Qiren himself had been a part of in his youth.
Music was one of humanity's primordial arts and it was good for anyone to be proficient in such an art. Even though Lan Qiren was nothing but average, he still liked to appreciate the work the students might be doing. Maybe he could even offer some advice to some unhappy student like him. Your knowledge of three instruments could certainly be useful to someone else.
That was how he heard the atrocity that was Wei Wuxian. The young man irritated Lan Qiren so much that the teacher ended up entering the Music workshop just to make sure what kind of nonsense it was.
This got him into an endless argument with Wei Wuxian, who annoyingly managed to respond perfectly to everything Lan Qiren threw at him, from classical theory to suggesting controversial forms of scores himself that were absolutely unthinkable.
Lan Qiren could play just as a hobby, but this was too much even for him!
For some reason everyone - except his nephew - was very surprised when Lan Qiren claimed to know how to play four instruments and know how to sing - not that he sings in public or for anyone, he hasn't sung for many years, not since his nephews no longer needed it. to sleep - and Wei Wuxian started to pester him so that he would play something for everyone.
The teacher responsible for coordinating the music workshop was an equally refined man, who did so together with his twin brother - much more indulgent for Lan Qiren's taste - but both expressed that it would be very beneficial for the students to see a piece by Lan Qiren .
Despite his embarrassment, Lan Qiren played a piece he deemed suitable in the guqin for everyone to hear. It was a piece he had learned by heart, and he thought it would be a good showcase for the classics for those cheeky students.
Everyone seemed quite shocked by his performance, Lan Qiren of course worried that he did something wrong, but Shen Qingqiu quickly stated that not only was it performed perfectly but he was ecstatic about it. somebody (this was said looking directly at his twin brother) knowing the classics so well and valuing them.
This somehow made the whole situation with Wei Wuxian worse because now he seemed determined to have Lan Qiren try out one of his scores and Lan Qiren had to run away because soon it was not just Wei Wuxian, but all the students there wanting his opinion or that he looked at his own ideas and tastes and Lan Qiren just wanted to curse Wei Wuxian for getting him into this situation.
Escaping from the music workshop under the pretext that he had an important appointment was effective, except for this, other faculty member got involved and “escorted” him out.
Wen Ruohan was a huge man, and he definitely successfully intimidated the other students, and everything would have been perfect if not for the cheeky hand that the man kept on his back, dangerously low, almost resting on his waist in a way that sent undue chills down Lan Qiren's spine.
The biology professor was very renowned at the university, and Lan Qiren knew this, even though the two had only seen each other a few times throughout their lives, the other man's intense gaze always moved him. Lan Qiren didn't know how or why, he just felt that feeling running through his veins, almost as if he was about to be devoured.
Just out of respect and gratitude for the help, Lan Qiren ended up giving in to Wen Ruohan's casual conversation, even though the man managed to irritate him very easily. It was a shame that they were co-workers and not teacher and student, because Lan Qiren would love to teach (torture) Wen Ruohan some valuable lessons with some extra work for his boldness.
Lan Qiren turned very red when Wen Ruohan teased him about the peculiar student named Wei Wuxian and his skill with words, and Lan Qiren let slip an acidic comment that if Wei Wuxian was skilled with words in any way, he must be called the “Mouth of Hell,” because that was just what his words invoked.
(Lan Qiren wanted to dig a hole and bury himself in it when Wen Ruohan almost doubled over laughing.)
Lan Qiren to this day doesn't know how Wen Ruohan convinced him to play the guqin for him one day, in a private performance, but fortunately Lan Qiren has managed to escape that promise well so far.
In any case, that fateful day was his first encounter with the pest who would become his nephew's boyfriend. Which of course he didn't approve of, Wei Wuxian was a terrible influence on Wangji!
Unfortunately, it seems that Wei Wuxian was such a bad influence that he convinced his perfect nephew to run away. Lan Wangji left a note saying that they would be back soon and it was just a small romantic retreat, but Lan Qiren knew how to read it for what it was: his nephew ran away to live his love, damn what the elders of the family thought.
And Lan Qiren was so, so frustrated by this, he just didn't know exactly… Why.
He was just angry, frustrated and tired out .
He was absolutely in a terrible mood due to everything that had been happening, besides the elders simply trying his patience which was never the greatest, he was stressed to the last nerve in his body. He was worried about Lan Wangji, and even though he knew the boy was probably fine, it was hard for Lan Qiren not to be absolutely panicked about it all.
So there he was having to socialize, but really he came because it was better for his co-workers than to risk having to interact with any of the elders.
The night passed like a blur in Lan Qiren's mind, the conversations were unimportant, the faces blended together, but he was sure he didn't actually speak to the prize student's uncle,
Not until some teachers started suggesting extending the night to a karaoke bar in the hotel. Which, of course, Lan Qiren didn't want to go and thought it was the perfect time to say goodbye and go home.
Unfortunately, his plans went down the same hole that Wei Wuxian came from.
(And apparently from the same cursed hole that Wen Ruohan came out of.)
“Qiren, you are great with music, it would be a crime not to accompany us.” - Wen Ruohan protested, putting his arm around Lan Qiren's shoulders. The tailored suit accentuating the biology teacher's strong body. It was the first time they had seen each other directly that night.
“It’s late, it’s time to sleep.”
“The night is young, Renren” - Wen Ruohan winked at him, the soft smell of wine that somehow didn't make him look like a stupid drunk mixed with the natural fragrance of Wen Ruohan's body and men's cologne.
"What…? You shameless!! Do not call me like that!" - Lan Qiren shouted, receiving in return only a laugh from the other man, which, due to the proximity of the two, resonated throughout his body making him shudder, a tiny voice in the back of his mind giving him the (useless) information that he had never seen Wen Ruohan smile so much, much less laugh like that.
This wouldn't end well for him.
No sooner said than done.
The black lights in the room had shades of purple and blue, illuminating the large sofa that stretched across half of the room, a huge television was at one end showing several things that Lan Qiren didn't pay attention to.
Lan Qiren doesn't know how he ended up in that place, and he attributes it to some succubus curse from the wine that Wen Ruohan drank and that the cheeky man hugging him passed the alcohol through his breath.
(This wasn't scientifically proven, but Lan Qiren had a long week, he could be hard on himself tomorrow and berate himself for giving in to the delicious man teasing him and calling him in such an uncharacteristically intimate way until he was so irritated he didn't see who had arrived with everyone else at the karaoke)
The music was vibrant, Lan Qiren barely paid attention to who else was with them there, watching Wen Ruohan place a small box on the table in the cabin.
"They are white pear flavored liqueur chocolates, I ordered them from a famous confectioner. Since Renren can't drink them, at least try them~" - Wen Ruohan teased, making Lan Qiren roll his eyes.
"And what makes you think this is more accepted? It's still alcohol." - Lan Qiren criticizes, despite the mild smell being quite pleasant.
"Because, 1 - They're delicious and vegan, which you don't even like, 2 - your family isn't here to bother you, 3 - your son ran away with his boyfriend and you deserve to relax."
"Wangji isn't..."
"You raised him, doesn't that make you his father?" - Wen Ruohan pointed out calmly, making Lan Qiren shrug his shoulders.
He loved his nephews like sons, of course. But he couldn't be so arrogant as to think he could take his brother's place in the boys' lives.
"They have a father, my brother. I can't be arrogant in claiming a role that isn't mine." - Wen Ruohan's eyes probably went into his head with how hard he rolled his eyes.
"If you think so. Anyway, what harm can it do?"
"Lots! I don't drink!" - Lan Qiren retorted, irritated, seriously considering throwing one of those sweets at Wen Ruohan's head, even if it would be a waste.
"Hmmm, how about we do it like this-"
“Are you deaf or completely drunk, Wen Ruohan?!” - Lan Qiren interrupted him in exasperation, even though he knew he was rude. Urgh, he must have eaten something that made him upset already to be being so rude.
Wen Ruohan ignored him, continuing: "-With every candy you eat, I will sing a song."
Lan Qiren looked at the man in disbelief, wondering what he did to attract so much attention from Wen Ruohan. At the same time....
At the same time, an inexplicable feeling of satisfaction at receiving so much focus from the biologist was stirring in his chest. Maybe it was frustration over Wangji being gone, maybe it was frustration with his family's troublesome elders, but Wen Ruohan's chaotic and domineering energy was simply too attractive.
Truly a bright sun that you shouldn't look at too much.
But the clouds have always been close to the sun, haven't they?
"....Only one." - He was crazy for giving in, definitely crazy.
Wen Ruohan's smile truly looked as bright as the sun, seeing Lan Qiren eat one of the bonbons before him.
This wouldn't lead to anything good, but Lan Qiren couldn't help the excitement coursing through his veins and making him act more and more impulsively.
Tomorrow he would have to copy many of the rules he had been deliberately breaking ever since Wen Ruohan pulled him into that karaoke joint.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Wen Ruohan pulled Lan Qiren onto his lap, making him sink back down onto his shaft, hoarse moans escaping them both.
Lan Qiren felt unbearably hot, his body on fire and wanting just more of Wen Ruohan's hands on him, more of those kisses, of that man.
He already felt a little dizzy, fighting unconsciousness, dragging his blunt nails against Wen Ruohan's strong arms, letting the man lead the rhythm of his thrusts, sending sparks of pleasure whenever he hit that hot spot inside him.
Yes, yes, he wanted this, he wanted this heat, this fire, he wants this insane, chaotic freedom that Wen Ruohan offers him. He wants to tell anyone who says he can't do something to go fuck themselves, while he is wonderfully fucked by Wen Ruohan.
"R... Ruo...han..." - Lan Qiren whispers in a broken voice, the sounds of skin against skin filling the room, the warm sensation of his member being stimulated as it is pressed between their abdomens, bringing small tears of pleasure in Lan Qiren's eyes.
"Renren..." - Wen Ruohan sighs, looking for Lan's lips for another kiss, biting that beautiful and delicious mouth, raising his hips once again and reaching Lan Qiren's right spot, feeling him moan into his mouth when Qiren reaches his climax.
Lan Qiren knew superficially that this sensation would be intense, but nothing had prepared him for the pure ecstasy that took over his body, his vision completely white and the pleasurable tremors in every nerve ending.
That was very powerful.... Very intense... Lan Qiren wanted to stay awake, wanted to make Ruohan cum. If possible maybe inside him, it felt so dirty, but so sexy...
Lan Qiren's mind became even more clouded, until the man actually went out like a candle, finally overcome by fatigue and alcohol, hugging Wen Ruohan tightly, restricting the man's movements, surprising him.
"...Renren?" - Wen Ruohan's hoarse voice sounded confused, feeling that enriching softness surrounding him, but suddenly being stopped by Qiren.
What was his surprise when he realized that Qiren had actually... slept!
Maybe it was his fault for not taking Ian's sleep schedule seriously, but it was still pretty comical! And he still hadn't cum!
They didn't talk about what to do in that situation and... What the hell, how was Lan Qiren so strong? Wen Ruohan couldn't get out of the restrictive grip and doubted that he would be able to wake Lan Qiren.
He would have to sleep while still hard and inside Lan Qiren.
If Lan fought with him when he woke up, it wouldn't be his fault!
*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Lan Qiren felt consciousness coming back to him little by little. His head was throbbing, his body was sore, but somehow, it was a sore… good.
Which was weird, because back pain was never good.
But the more he became aware of his own body, those soft sensations of dull aches in various places appeared, seeming much more pleasurable than uncomfortable.
Lan Qiren also realized that he slept on something different this time. It was warm and smelled good. The heartbeat was a great rhythm for sleeping...
Wait, what?
Moving at once so he could sit up, a sharp pain in Lan Qiren's back made him step back a little, as well as realizing that there was something inside him.
Looking down and seeing the total mess he had made, Lan Qiren turned incredibly red, but not as red as when he realized that Wen Ruohan was still inside him.
And the morning erection left the member perfectly hard within Qiren's warm grip.
The torrid memories of the previous night flashed through his mind, how Lan Qiren was totally mesmerized by Wen Ruohan's deep and low voice, how that damned single liquor bonbon was enough to make him half drunk and he agreed to sing a duet with Wen Ruohan, the two practically finishing the song with Lan Qiren on top of the man being pressed against the wall with enthusiastic whistles from his colleagues (ignored in favor of kissing that shameless mouth) until they ended up in the room that Wen Ruohan took for himself at the hotel , where Lan Qiren didn't hesitate - he even demanded, oh heavens! - on being fucked by Wen Ruohan.
"Hmm.... early..." - Wen Ruohan mumbled, finally managing to move his arms to hug Lan Qiren's waist and bring him towards him. - "Renren... be good and stay there.... It's too early yet.." - Wen Ruohan grunted, kissing Lan Qiren's shoulder, loving the feeling of waking up enveloped by the softness of his lover.
"Y-You...! Shameless!"
"Me? Renren was the one who slept on top of me yesterday and hugged me like an octopus, I couldn't even finish." - Wen Ruohan complained as if he had been wronged, hiding his face in the crook of Lan Qiren's neck.
"Don't tease! You were the one who gave me those sweets with liquor! How did you expect me to stay awake??" - Lan Qiren roared, feeling his face impossibly hot.
"Hmm... so Renren is saying he would have lasted longer sober?" - Wen Ruohan teases. - "Maybe we should do it again, I'm sober now too."
"You...!! Wen Ruohan!! Shameless! Bold!!!" - Lan Qiren hit Wen Ruohan's chest, but did not refute his words, the movement of his body making him press himself more against Wen Ruohan, causing the man to grunt.
"Renren... you're going to kill me with lust..."
"Shut up and get on with it." - Lan Qiren grumbled, hiding his red face on Wen Ruohan's shoulder. This impossible man! Lan Qiren didn't know how he liked it or why.
Finally receiving his permission, Wen Ruohan held Lan Qiren's hips, moving in slow, almost lazy thrusts. Lan Qiren was soft and slippery from being stretched all night, Wen Ruohan's cock moving in and out with ease.
Lan Qiren also felt himself quickly hardening again with the constant stimulation at his entrance, writhing with pleasure when Wen Ruohan hit him in the right place, not caring how indecent it felt to be like that, surrendering to pleasure and pleasure. indecency with that magnificent man, moaning softly as he held onto Wen Ruohan, moving a little and rubbing himself against him.
"R-ren... ren..." - Wen Ruohan panted, leaving several wet kisses on Lan Qiren's neck and shoulders, sucking marks that drew even more sighs from Lan.
"I-inside..." - Lan Qiren managed to whisper, his face burning with embarrassment when he felt Wen Ruohan's smile against his skin, before Wen Ruohan gave a few more erratic stretches that were a little more energetic than the almost lazy pace. they had since they woke up, repeatedly hitting Lan Qiren's sweet spot until he reached his limit and came apart completely, sinking his fingers into Lan Qiren's soft skin, flooding the soft, warm insides with his release.
Lan Qiren felt full, moaning softly against Ruohan's skin, biting a little harder on the biologist's shoulder as he reached his own climax.
It was definitely not part of his plans for yesterday's party to lose his virginity to hs co-worker and have morning sex with the same man.
That exercise exhausted Lan Qiren even more, the migraine almost forgotten in comparison to the feeling of absolute fullness of the orgasm.
Kissing Wen Ruohan again before the two snuggled together again because Wen Ruohan didn't want to get up or let go of Qiren, Lan Qiren allowed himself a little more indulgence.
"If any of the older people in your family complain, let me know. I'll tell them all to go the fuck away."
Lan Qiren let out a low laugh, horrified by Wen's foul language.
"Languaje. But... it's okay. We need to...talk about this when we wake up again." - Lan Qiren observed. He wasn't very well versed in social practices, he didn't know what to expect now. Were they just casual lovers? Were they going to have a relationship? Why did the hypothesis that this was something random seem to have a bitter taste? AND...
"Talk? Hmmm, does Renren intend to take responsibility?" - Wen Ruohan teased, kissing his lover again.
"What? Shameless! You..." - Lan Qiren was confused, red and a little too happy with the hypothesis that it wasn't just a hot night for Wen Ruohan.
"Renren, you're all mine now.~" - Wen Ruohan assured, kissing Qiren's shoulder. His voice was deep and sleepy with a feeling that Lan Qiren couldn't identify, but it stirred something inside him. - "Don't even think about trying to escape."
Lan Qiren snorted softly, snuggling against Wen Ruohan's warm chest.
"So we are dating?" - Lan Qiren asked a little hesitantly. He liked to make things clear so he could understand and know how to act. That's why Lan Qiren liked rules, that's why even though he preferred literature, he still liked law. The laws were clear and succinct, which was comfortable.
Wen Ruohan nodded.
"We'll make a contract if that makes you feel more at ease. Our dating contract, what do you think? My main demand is to be able to kiss you."
"Time you...!"
Well, things would get very interesting from then on.
Maybe Lan Qiren can make some more changes in his life besides getting a boyfriend, even if that in itself is a huge change.
