Chapter 33: 10-Laszlo and nadja- what we do in the shadows

Chapter Text

In the heart of Staten Island, Laszlo and Nadja, the eccentric vampire couple, decided to venture out for a night of shopping. It wasn't often that they indulged in such mundane activities, but tonight, they were in the mood for something different.

"Laszlo, darling, we need to update our wardrobe," Nadja said, her eyes gleaming with excitement. "Our clothes are starting to look a bit... outdated."

Laszlo chuckled, adjusting his cravat. "You're right, my love. It's time we treated ourselves to some new attire. Let's make a night of it."

They set off into the night, their capes billowing dramatically as they walked through the streets. The humans they passed were oblivious to their true nature, and Laszlo and Nadja enjoyed the anonymity.

Their first stop was a vintage clothing store, filled with an eclectic mix of garments from different eras. Nadja's eyes lit up as she spotted a beautiful Victorian dress. "Oh, Laszlo, look at this! It's perfect for our next masquerade ball."

Laszlo nodded appreciatively. "Indeed, my dear. And this waistcoat would complement it nicely."

As they tried on various outfits, they couldn't help but laugh at some of the more outlandish pieces. Nadja found a feathered hat that made her look like a flamboyant peacock, while Laszlo tried on a pair of bell-bottom pants that were far too tight.

"These humans have such strange fashion choices," Laszlo remarked, shaking his head in amusement.

Nadja giggled, twirling in front of the mirror. "Yes, but it's fun to try new things. Let's see what else we can find."

Their next stop was a modern boutique, where they were greeted by a friendly sales associate. "Good evening! How can I help you two tonight?"

Nadja flashed a charming smile. "We're looking for something a bit more contemporary. Show us your finest pieces."

The sales associate led them to a section filled with sleek, stylish clothing. Nadja picked out a stunning black dress, while Laszlo found a tailored suit that fit him perfectly.

As they admired their new outfits, Nadja turned to Laszlo with a mischievous grin. "You know, darling, we should have a little fun while we're here."

Laszlo raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What do you have in mind, my love?"

Nadja's eyes sparkled with mischief. "Let's see if we can charm our way into getting a discount."

With their vampire charisma, they easily convinced the sales associate to give them a generous discount on their purchases. As they left the store, they couldn't help but laugh at their successful escapade.

"That was quite enjoyable, Nadja," Laszlo said, wrapping an arm around her waist. "We should do this more often."

Nadja smiled, leaning into him. "Yes, darling. It's nice to have a little adventure now and then."

As they walked back to their home, their shopping bags filled with new clothes, Laszlo and Nadja felt a renewed sense of excitement. They had shared a fun and memorable night together, proving that even vampires could enjoy the simple pleasures of life.
