"So, let me go through the list one last time..." Adam says while sitting in the sofa, a piece of paper on his hand as he reads the grocery list to his sons for the fourth time. They all nod as he reads, tired of hearing the same list over and over again. "Alright, that's it?" They nod again "Let's go then."
It's the first time all Einherjars go shopping together, as Adam normally only takes Okita, Leonidas and sometimes Simo to help him. Humanity's father knows that the rest of his sons would ask him to buy them something else if they went.
The siblings immediately separate, looking for what they like in the store. Buddha is in the sweets aisle, looking at all the variety there is. Qin and Nostradamus are on the bread aisle and are, for whatever reason, discussing what type of bread is better. Raiden and Grigori are in the sausage zone, having a look at all the kinds they have. Nikola and Sakata manage to drag Lü Bu to a random aisle with them, not even saying goodbye. Sasaki and Jack are in the tea section, recommending eachother different flavors. Eve is looking at the makeup zone, surprised by the different colored lipsticks there are.
In the end, Adam only has Leonidas, Simo and Okita to help him. The man sighs before looking at his sons with tired eyes, making the three men feel pity for their father. Before saying anything, Jack and Kojiro show up next to him with their hands empty, to which Adam raises an eyebrow. "We didn't really want to take anything, just have a look for the next time" The japanese man says quite embarrassed. Adam takes mental note of that, deciding to take one of the two on their next grocery trip.
"Well, let's go for the fruit first." Their father says, starting to walk.
On the other side of the store, two young looking men are arguing with each other.
"No, I'm telling you, the baguette are way better!" Nostradamus exclaims, an offended expression on his face after hearing what his brother said.
"Bù*, bù!" Says the other, showing his brother sandwich bread. "This..." Qin points at the bread, "is better!"
"Have you ever thought about ki—" "Hey, we need bread." Simo interrupts Nostradamus before he can finish his sentence. "Which one do we take, father?" The finnish man asks. Adam thinks about it for a bit, then grabs both types and throws it on his trolley. "Both of them, some of you like one better than the other." And with that, the argument between Nostradamus and Qin ends.
"Look, this one even has cheese in it!" Raiden exclaims, showing the sausages to Grigori and Lü Bu. The chinese man got bored of being in the coffee section, so he decided that looking at different sausages would somehow be better. "That's amazing!" He says with a big smile.
"And this one is made of horse." Rasputin shows him a packet, and Lü Bu's smile immediately fades. Raiden hits the back of Grigori's face before asking the man what prompted him to do that.
"There are so many kinds... Which one do I pick?" Okita asks his father, starling his pther three brothers. "Pfft, the horse one." Grigori says, laughing his ass off at his own joke. However, Jack, who stood beside Okita, didn't understand the joke, so he goes to pick one of those up. "NO!" Raiden and Lü Bu yell, the latter distressed, making Rasputin laugh even harder.
"What do you think you're doing?" Adam asks those five, who turn around quickly. "They told me that—" "Not 'they', Grigori did—" "Grigori is an idiot—"
"Alright." Their father stops their excuses before picking up two different types and leaving them behind, so they run behind him and their brothers.
"Are you planning on taking some?" Adam asks behind Buddha, who is staring at some candy. The man sighs and shakes his head, accompanying the gesture with a small no and walking towards his brothers. Adam looks at him one more time, and then at the sweets. It's a package that apparently contains some small chocolate bars inside, in this case 20. Buddha will have to share, but for now his father picks up the bag and puts it on the trolley, looking at his son and showing him a small smile.
Eve looks at the lipstick she has on her hands. She thinks it's a bit selfish, and she will put it back if anyone tells her to, but she still takes it with her. It's color fascinated her completely, and it was cheap, so she can't see why not.
She arrives next to her husband and kids and gives him the lipstick, confusing the man. "Can I take it?" Eve asks with puppy eyes, trying to convince her lover. "Why would I say no?" Adam asks her back, confused while putting the lipstick inside the trolley. She just blushes and smiles.
"No, non, nem, nein!" Nikola exclaims in the coffee aisle, "You should take the caffeinated coffee, it helps you stay awake!" He says with a confident smile. "Yeah, but..." Sakata contradicts, extending the 'u', "I don't think it's, like, healthy." "Tha—" Before Nikola can protest against his argument, he sees Leonidas grab two boxes with coffee, one with caffeine and one without it, made by a random brand. The taller man looks at his brothers, then moves his head on a 'come on' motion and leaves the aisle, the younger two following close behind.
After eating dinner, everyone got a small chocolate bar for dessert.
