It was a slow day at the bookshop. No-one had gone in there all day, and Aziraphale was starting to clock out of everything and close down early, planning to spend more time with Crowley. She was currently sprawled across an armchair in the backroom, reading one of his books while they worked. Her hair, which he decided to grow out naturally, was neatly tucked into a low ponytail and slung over the back of the armchair to keep it out of the way while she read. Aziraphale softly smiled before walking over and sitting in their chair, which was right next to where his chair was placed, having finished what they were doing. Crowley took a moment to finish the page and bookmark it before putting the book down and smiling at Aziraphale.

"Hey, angel." Crowley said, her voice quiet as to not disturb the peaceful quiet. Aziraphale smiled and scooted their chair closer to his carefully before settling back down and rested a gentle hand on Crowley's head.

"Hello, love. Enjoying the book?" They asked, their voice equally soft. Crowley chuckled, looking back at the book she was just reading then back up at Aziraphale.

"It's interesting." He mumbled, tilting her head into the touch. Aziraphale ran their hand through his hair, carefully taking out the hair tie to run their hand fully through her hair, humming gently. It was a calming and quiet minute; the only sound was the crackle of the fireplace and their soft humming. They gently brushed his neck while petting Crowley, causing her to giggle.

"I love you too, angel." He said softly, tilting her head back into the touch. Aziraphale smiled and kissed his forehead, and they ended up cuddling for the rest of the day.
