Eternal Librarian

Chapter 2: So, what happened?

Chapter Text

Krysia Isolde von Lohengrin. In the original story she was weak- willed and get easily manipulated by her younger brother Dietrich despite being the Librarian and killed by Cain in most of the game routes. Now i changed both my overall reputation and my relationship with my brother, but this stupid king raised a ruckus and want to put me in a golden cage. Like hell if i want that! But the current situation is not much better. i want to avoid the heroine and the capture targets as much as i possible, but because of Caterina, this will be a little problematic.

At her request, one of them is guarding my main door right now.

Hugue de Watteau. He one of the most difficult target from the good side as much as i can recall. He is a really angsty pretty boy, but of course it not surprising thanks to his past. This story have plenty handsome boys and men and it have many different endings, depends on who the heroine will choose to be with. Quite simple but not overly sugar coated and the wold of story was really well created. Advanced technology mixed with mythical creatures -erm kinda “mythical” but thats a spoiler- and nobility and wars.

I loved this in my previous life. I loved history. So, its actually better i did not get the heroine position, but I still need to be cautious- because i did not have plot armor. Right now the only thing i can do is prepare myself for the meeting with Alessandro. He is a sweet kid but easily get scared and not really good at making hard decisions. At least not right now.

-Is there any problem, m'lady? - Hugue asked with a deep, raspy voice and i almost had a double take. When did he get inside?! I was probably to deep in my thought.Crap.

-Oh, sorry mr…?

-Please call me Father Hugue. - seven hells! Don't look at me with those eyes!

-W-well, father Hugue, thank you for your concern but im fine. Just i little bit lost in my thoughts.

-Is that so? I was worried, because you’re awfully silent.

-That a bad habit of mine, im sorry for the scare. - i waved with my palm and he sat right next to me.

-M’lady, to be honest…

-??

-May i ask something, a little bit more…personal? - WHAT?! What happened Hugue? He was well-know as a man of few words! Why he want to ask me about something personal after 5 minutes?!

-What kind of personal information you want ask father Hugue?

-I-i…- Dont stutter. For the god sake!

-I just heard about your…condition and i just want to confirm something.

-My condition?

-I heard that one of my ancestor was also a librarian.

-Oh.

-Way before you.- I just smile at him. That true. The original game actually put quite detailed information about all the librarian background, including the 12th, who was Hugue ancestor.

-Your information is correct. His name was Cornelis de Watteau. he was your great-great-great grandfather. A tactical genius but unfortunately, he suffered from a terminal illness and died at age of 27.- Hugue let out a sigh.

-So my grandmother did not lie about this. And you remember everything?

-Everything he know and experienced in his life. Just like all of my predecessors.

-So…

-Hugue, what are you doing?! - Suddenly a female hologram appeared in-mid air. Both Hugue and i was startled by her sudden arrival. - She was already tired, stop bothering her!- she whisper-yelled and while sent me an apologetic smile, her eyes glared at the blond priest.

-Ah, i did not know you also use holograms in here.

-Oh, im so sorry.- the woman, who i know is Sister Kate bowed and flew to my other side.- Im sister Kate Scott. Its a pleasure th meet you Lady Lohengrin.

-Same, sister Kate. And please dont angry about father Hugue, he did not bothered me at all.

- Really?- they asked in union, i nod. Really, but that true im tired and if not a problem, i’ll go to sleep.

-Understand.- He stand up and head toward the main door.- I’ll be at the other side. If you need anything, just say.

-Okay. - Huh, this will be a long evening.*
