"Kaori, I had a hard day today." Akira said, sitting by the fire.
"You tried to sell Duskie on the black market."
"But before that, I tried to give him away at the taiyaki stand." Akira sighed. "Nobody would take him, even after I offered extra taiyaki."
"Duskie is a person, big brother. You can't sell or give people away." Kaori said. "Otherwise I would have given you away."
Akira gasped.
"Akira tried to sell me on the black market today." Duskie said, sitting by the fire with Sundown.
"... What?"
"Yeah. Nobody would take me."
"..."
Duskie began to tear up. "Dad, would you have taken me?"
"... Yes." Then Sundown hugged Duskie and hoped that he would get reminded of something else that he liked and also that she could convince Taeko to ground Akira tomorrow.
"Akira tried to sell Duskie for ten trillion dollars on the black market today." Li said, sitting by the fire.
"What the fuck?!"
