One after another, Law's soldiers fell to Nika's hands. With each kill, he would laugh incessantly—a war cry.
The glowing white never faltered, a sign of hope for many, but to Law, one of despair.
His people were dying, and he was utterly useless. Always useless, always weak, always—shut up, he thought, forcing his eyes open to stare ahead of him. “Look forward,” He spoke softly, dismissing the ramblings of his mind.
"General Trafalgar! What's the plan!?" Shachi yelled, voice straining, trampling towards him, the gash in his leg staining the floor.
"Retreat!” Law winced, pushing his hands down and gluing them to his sides. Sucking in a fragile breath, he closed his eyes for a fraction of a second.
“Crack.”
Law whipped his head around—Nika floated above Penguin, a broad smile across stark white cheeks; he bent Penguin’s spine till it snapped.
"Shishishi." Nika snickered, crimson fading from his hands.
Nika’s swirling eyes narrowed on Law, striking him through the heart. Law's feet stuck to the ground, a sticky paste of dried blood and guts.
"The last one left, I see," Nika giggled, his eyes mischievous. "You must be strong to survive this," He quipped, floating on his back.
Law felt his conscience waining his hands stained and mouth-filling with blood.
"Oh, you're dying! We can't have that!" Nika smiled wryly. Law wanted to fight against the god, to tell him how he murdered everyone he loved, but the blood loss was too much, and he fainted in Nika's inviting arms.

The sun glazed over Law's form. He heaved out his chest, his ribs stabbing into his lungs.
Law sat up, blinking blearily. All he could see were white, fluffy clouds like he was floating.
Where was he? The last thing he remembered was standing in the middle of a battlefield.
There was no blood, no battle gear, and no mutilated bodies. His skin glistened with gold. His wounds scared over.
Did he die? This atmosphere didn't fit the description he knew. There were no gloomy souls and three-headed dogs.
He had no gold to pay his way through the River Styx, and his body still felt heavy with life.
However, there was no way that this was the mortal plane. There was something distinctly ethereal. The air smelled sweeter, to the point he could almost taste it.
"You're awake," Nika sang sweetly, looking at Law curiously.
"Fuck you," Law hissed, backing away. His heart pounded. What could Nika possibly want?
"I'm Luffy! What's your name?" Nika pressed, floating closer to Law.
"Shouldn't you know that? You're a god." Law deadpanned, his anxiety calmed in the slightest.
"I am a god, not all-seeing. I don't know your name," Luffy flatlined, lips drew into a thin line.
"Trafalgar, Law," he responded, annoyed. This "god" wasn't threatening. He was just plain stupid.
"Tra-Tra-Torao, it's nice to meet you!" Luffy grinned, inching his face within a centimeter of Law's.
Yep, stupid.
"You know you are beautiful?!" Nika exclaimed, puffing air on Law's nose, tinting it red.
"Why does that matter? Why am I here?" Law asked, turning his face away from Luffy's—flushing crimson.
"You're here because I do what I want, and you seem intriguing."
"You killed my family."
"As I said, I do what I want."
“So you wanted to kill my loved ones?” Law pressed, continually reminding Nika of his hypocrisy.
“I want,” Nika started, breathing in Law’s face for effect. “You.” He finished, still dodging Law’s question.
“Nika, Joyboy, the bringer of sun and happiness, these are your monikers, no? Yet you say your name is Luffy, a name I have never heard, and you desecrate my home, yet you expect me to give myself to you willingly? Law seethed, his brows furrowed, dismissing “Luffy’s” childish nonchalance.
Luffy cocked his head to the side like Law was the crazy one. “Yes, I want you so that you will be mine,” Luffy replied fish-eyed. “That’s how this works.”
Law knew gods were narcissistic and haughty, but this was going too far. Ignoring that he had just witnessed a mass genocide, He wasn't a woman, and all myths and legends depicted a young woman, not an underfed military general!
“I do what I want, and I'm not into women, so stop thinking that.”
“You asked me my name, but you can read minds. You could have easily figured out what I am called, yet you asked,” Law responded dryly, his anger building the more “Luffy” spoke.
“I like hearing your voice,” Luffy replied impassively. He entered Law’s bubble more, a sunny grin pushing east and west, no doubt bathing the earth in sunny skies.
Where the hell am I? Law questioned, biting back his tongue. He couldn’t let Nika know he was reliant on him for answers.
“Mount Olympus, of course,” Nika smiled, a cloud wrapping around Law, sugary like cotton candy.
It took a minute for reality to settle. Was Law even human anymore? Humans can’t visit Mount Olympus nor see a god’s proper form, yet, here he was, on a bed of condensation, staring at the truest form of the sun god.
“You almost died,” Luffy sniggered, his eyes swirling pools of hazel, “I couldn’t let you go to the underworld, and I am the king of gods, so I married you, and now you are a god.”
Law’s jaw dropped, lips pursing like a fish sucking air. He was utterly dumbfounded—“Apotheosis,” Law muttered.
“Oh, so you are well-read too,” Luffy complimented, impressed by his husband.
“I am now married to a God,” Law spoke slowly, saying it out loud to decrease how surreal it sounded.
“Yep! I always get what I want.” Luffy smiled, and Law felt his heart tug in the slightest. “You are my prize, Torao; I will give you the world,” Luffy grinned.

“Do you ever stop smiling? It’s infuriating.” Law groaned, a fond smile tugging the corners of his lips.
“Never,” Luffy said, a slight smile quirking under his top lip.
Geeze, Nika truly is an idiot; who can smile that often? Law thought, nonconsciously broadcasting his thoughts.
“How many times have I told you not to call me Nika? I am your husband! It's Luffy to you!” He reprimanded.
“Stop reading my mind!” Law yelled. He missed when the sanctity of his brain was still intact.
Luffy had a nasty habit of reading his thoughts and then replying.
Law would be reading, and Luffy would nestle into his lap and start jabbering away about some random topic, which Law didn’t mind unless that topic was what Law was thinking.
Luffy was doing so today, nestled in Law’s lap, cheeks puffy. He looked so cute, his lips all soft and touchable, kissable.
“You’re thinking of kissing me again,” Luffy murmured, his head burrowing into Law’s chest. “Just kiss me,” Luffy whined, looking even more desirable.
Law hummed in recognition, not giving Luffy any verbal leeway. If he did this bratty, God would become even more spoiled, and Law isn't sure his heart can handle it.
“Kiss me, kiss me,” Luffy chanted, inching his face closer to Law’s. Their lips connected, but Law stonewalled him, causing Luffy to mewl like an injured kitten.
Law kissed back softly, for only a moment, finding Luffy’s pouts and whines unbearable.
Law carded through Luffy’s locs; a gentle smirk settled on his features. Over the past few months, Law had become too fond of the unruly And loud-mouthed God, yearning to please him.
However, Law still took every opportunity he could to tease.
He kissed Luffy’s temple softly. Luffy’s weight against Law’s chest steadied his breath, creating an equilibrium in their private ecosystem.
“I hate you,” Law muttered, so low and soft it was more akin to a confession of love.
“I love you too,” Luffy giggled, pecking Law’s chin and settling against his chest.
The world was bright and sunny in a way Law had never seen, and he knew he only saw rainbows when Luffy was around.
