Inside a large castle-like mansion, several guests of Singaporean descent were partying hard like there was no tomorrow.
All of them wore the fanciest of suits, the stylish of dressed and the flashiest of jewelley as they had the greatest time of their lives.
Why, you may ask?
The world's most eligible bachelor had just gotten engaged to his long time girlfriend and there was the afterparty of his best friend and his new wife, finally getting married.
Everywhere you go, you could see several people having as much fun as possible. Many of them were high-up in the world of commerce and business from corporate CEOs to models and movie directors. Some of them were heiresses that had as much fun as they can, which isn't a surprise because, well they were rich and could do what they want.
Yes, life for these crazy rich Asians was amazing.
But for one, life wasn't at all amazing.
Standing out the balcony, looking at the moonlit sky was a 27-year-old woman with tanned skin, long black hair done in a bun and alluring brown eyes, filled with sadness. She had a pair of ruby earrings on and a sleek, green dress with several sparkles and sequins along the hemline.
"Hey, Astrid." Another voice said. It came from two 20-year-olds. One was a handsome 20-year-old Singaporean male with short black hair and brown eyes, dressed in a white tuxedo under a black shirt while on his right was a Chinese woman with a black bobcut and brown eyes, dressed in a spaghetti strap green dress, red heels and emerald earrings with an emerald ring on her right ring finger.
"Nick. Rachel. What are you doing here?" Astrid asked.
"Came to check on you." Nick said as they approached her.
"Rachel told me about what happened with Michael. Are you feeling OK?" He asked, feeling concern for his cousin.
Rachel shot a look who just raised her hands.
"Hey, you two are close and he was worried about you. I didn't want to keep secrets." She explained.
"I understand. But yes. Michael had an affair because of his insecurities." Astrid said.
That confused the two.
"Wait, so the arsehole had an affair because he couldn't handle high society?" Nick spoke in shock.
"Yes. The twit had an affair because he was insecure about fitting in. I did a lot for him, you know. Wore humble clothes at home, hide any expensive gifts, spent time with my son. And the fool does this." She said in sadness and slight rage.
"I wonder if it would be wrong to use your connections to ruin him?" Rachel said with a scowl.
"Best not to. Mother taught us not to use our connections unless it was dire." Nick said, though he was thinking the same thing.
"It doesn't matter. Me and him are done. I'm planning to go with my son to one of the apartment buildings I own to stay for a while."
"Probably for the best. A chance to forget him. So which one?" Nick asked.
Before she could ask, a butler came over, stating the Mistress wants to see them.
Inside the office, there was an elderly woman of 50-years of age, her long, brown hair in a bun with her brown eyes, slightly baggy but filled with wisdom and experience, dressed in an elegant green gown with a large emerald ring on her finger.
"Auntie Eleanor, you wanted to see us?" Astrid asked politely, with Nick and Rachel behind her.
"Don't worry, you are not in trouble." She said in an elegant tone as they relaxed a bit.
"I heard about what happened with Micheal." Eleanor said, shocking the three.
"How did you-?" Nick said but the matriarch raised a brow.
"Kitty wasn't exactly keeping a lid on the affair. Such a shame, he seemed to be such a nice man." Eleanor spoke, resting her hand on her head.
"I know. I thought so to." Astrid said, looking away.
"So what do you plan on doing?" She asked.
"I planned on going to one of the many apartments I own with Cassian. After that, I would come back." Astrid replied.
"Luckily, I have some place where you can go to. Rachel and Nick are coming with you as well." She said.
The three looked at them in confusion.
"Where?" Nick had to ask.
Eleanor smiled.
"Summer Cove. You're going to be working with my cousin, Marcus."
So yeah, another story, based on the film, Crazy Rich Asians crossing over with Power Rangers: Ninja Steel
Why? I had this strange idea in my head. Since Preston is a son to a tycoon, and I watched the film, I thought why not have the Youngs, be cousins with the Tiens.
And it won't be just Nick, Astrid and Rachel. I am also having Oliver join as he is such a joy.
Also this is after the end of the movie and after the episode Ranger Ribbon but I won't have the fake Aiden introduced yet. I will have him wait for the right moment but until then, he is in hiding.
