Chapter Text
Hen and Chimney had been sorting the supplies in the truck for the last half hour and Chimney was unsurprisingly bored. Scrolling through his Instagram feed, giving Hen a running commentary until he scrolled a few posts down until he got to a post by Eddie.
"Uh Hen?" Chimney got her attention. She turned to him looking unimpressed, "Eddie doesn't use Instagram, right?" She shook her head and he turned his phone around to show her the post.
"Eddie posted that?" Hen asked
"Looks like the other guy did, they're pretty close there" Chim commented, zooming in trying to see the other mans face.
"Does Eddie have a boyfriend?" She beamed.
"Only one way to find out" Chimney said, moving quickly out of the truck, Hen in tow. They ran up the stairs looking for Eddie, who was sat unassuming on the sofa with his feet up. They approached him silently and Hen pushed his feet off the sofa in favour for sitting down and smiled at him.
"You have something to tell us Eddie?" Chimney said, looming over his shoulder.
"Based on your reactions i'd say yes but i don't know what" He said calmly, sipping his coffee. He knew what they were referencing but playing dumb was always fun. Chimney showed him his phone and cocked an eyebrow.
"Oh. That."
"Oh. That? That's all you have to say? Who is that, loverboy?" Hen teased.
"That's my boyfriend" Eddie let himself smile a little, Hen shook his legs in excitement.
"How long? What's his name? Can we meet him?" Hen pestered, Eddie could hear Bobby shuffling around in the Kitchen and jumped up, surprising them both.
"I'm gonna go help Bobby" He left without room for them to fight.
"We're not giving up, we will find out!" Hen said as Chimney laughed.
"I'm not gonna make it easy" Eddie shouted back, smiling as he approached Bobby." Anything i can do to get me out the grips of the terrible twins?" He asked, Bobby looked over the glasses he wasn't wearing and sighed.
"What have you done this time?"
"Nothing! My boyfriend posted on my Instagram and they saw, no biggie" He held his hands up in surrender as Bobby smirked at him.
"You're turning this into a game?" Bobby said, lowering his voice. A week after Buck and Eddie made it official, they told Bobby and filled out necessary HR requirements but they'd kept it on the down low for a reason. Playing with their team mates wasn't the reason, but it was a new excuse. Eddie smiled back and nodded. Bobby got him to work on cutting carrots, because even he couldn't mess that up.
Buck came back from his gym session, wanting to sit down. Nothing more. Chimney and Hen had other ideas though. As soon as he came over to where they were sat they ambushed him.
"Buck, did you know Eddie has a boyfriend?" Chimney asked, accusingly. It took Buck a minute to get his brain working before answering.
"Of course, Eddie tells me everything" He said inconspicuously. Hen rolled her eyes.
"Any more information? A name? A description?" She pressed.
"Hey if Eddie's not told you a name, i won't either. But I will say, he's big enough to throw Eddie around if you know what i mean" He winked at Hen and her eyes opened in either disgust or suprise, he couldn't tell.
"Stop interrogating Buck and come eat!" Bobby called and Buck rushed over to the table. Hen and Chimney followed slowly.
Buck took his place next to Eddie and smirked at him, Eddie squeezed his thigh quickly under the table.
"Buck told us your boyfriend is big enough to throw you around. He doesn't look big in that photo" Chim said as he loaded his plate with food.
"He is big, but he doesn't throw me around" Eddie said, narrowing his eyes towards Buck, who laughed shortly.
"Really? Cause I distinctly remember him-"
"Enough discussing my sex life while we eat, please" Eddie interrupted, Bobby looked like he was about to say something but decided against it. Hen studied his face.
"You've met him" She said to Bobby.
"Yes. I babysat Christopher on their first date" Bobby said, avoiding the eyes of Hen and Chimney in favour for eating his food.
"He's not gonna give us anything, work on breaking information out of Buck, it'll happen eventually" Chim whisperered to Hen, even though everyone could hear him very clearly.
"Hey! Have some faith in me!"
