A/N: Hey everyone, so I saw the last Hailey’s on It episode. I was shocked at the ending at first but considering how things were trending in the episode and some of the others there were signs that this was gonna happen sooner or later. I can’t wait until next Saturday so I decided to write this quick little short story. I really feel bad for Scott in this.
Also, for those of you wondering about the Total Drama story including those two, that’s still going to be written. I want to finish up the one I’m working on first before I start that one.
This story takes place at/after the end of U.F. Woah.
Anyways, on to the story!
Scott goes through the window of Hailey’s home. He looks at his phone as he says, “So good news, Kristine made it on to the hat house show.”
“Wow yeah! That’s great news! Isn’t it?” Hailey said, turning from happy to confused. “Am I missing something? Scott?”
“And also, she broke up with me.” Scott said, a mixture of confusion and sadness on his face.
Hailey gasps in genuine shock.
“I…. I’m sorry Scott.” Hailey said, not knowing what else to say.
“And you know what the worst part is Hailey?” Scott asked.
“What is it?” Hailey asked.
“I don’t even know why.” Scott said, still having the same look of confusion and sadness on his face.
“Maybe she wants to talk about it face to face.” Hailey reasoned.
“I guess. But…. if that’s the case, then, why couldn’t she tell me this face to face too? Or…. why couldn’t she tell me why here?” Scott asked, looking down at his phone to see if there was anything else from Kristine. But there was nothing. “Was it something I did? Is… something wrong with me?” Scott said, the frown on his face getting bigger.
Hailey puts her hand on Scott’s shoulder. Scott looks up at Hailey.
“Scott, look at me. There’s nothing wrong with you. You’re funny, loyal, and one of the nicest people I’ve ever known.” Hailey said.
Beta thought about calling him a buffoon but knew that it wasn’t the time to do so.
“Anyone that has traits like that Is a great person. And I’m so happy and thankful to know that that type of person is my best friend.” Hailey said.
“Thanks Hailey.” Scott said before they embrace in a hug. After a few seconds, they let go and Scott sits on Hailey’s bed.
“Still though. What’s going to happen between me and Kristine now that we’ve broken up? What if she doesn’t want to talk to me anymore?” Scott said, putting his head on his knees as his arms were over them as well.
Hailey sits on the bed beside him. “Scott, I won’t pretend that I know the answer to something like that. Because, well, I don’t. But it seems like a lot for you to take in all at once. And I do know a thing or two about being overwhelmed.” Hailey said. “And guess who was there to help me when I was overwhelmed and frustrated.”
“Me?” Scott guessed.
“Yes. You.” Hailey said.
“And me. Don’t forget about me.” Beta said.
Hailey laughed a little. “Yeah. You too Beta.”
“And guess what? I’m here for you now when you need it. Just like you were there for me. And continue to be there for me. Just take it one step at a time, and you’ll be alright. You two will work things out. And while it would be great if it did happen, it might not be tomorrow. It might not be the day after. It could take a week. Who knows. But you’ll get through this. I know it.” Hailey said.
“Thanks.” Scott said.
Hailey looks at Scott’s phone and a thought came to her. “Hey, why don’t we take a look at those skateboarding videos you made?”
There was no response from Scott.
“With cookies!” Hailey added.
Still no answer.
“How dare you Hailey. I mean seriously. What is wrong with you!?” Scott said, visibly upset.
“I-I’m sorry Scott, I just wanted to…. I didn’t mean to….” Hailey said, not sure what to say or do, about to panic.
“You forgot milk!” Scott said.
“Huh?” Hailey said, confused.
“I said you forgot milk.” Scott said.
“Milk?” Hailey repeated, still confused.
“Yeah, duh. I mean that’s like one of the best snack-drink combos ever. How in the world could you forget milk? Seriously.” Scott said.
“Oh. Right! Yeah! Let’s add milk to it too.” Hailey said, calming down.
“To the kitchen!” Scott declared, pointing upward.
After getting cookies and milk, Scott and Hailey were watching Scott’s skateboarding videos.
Scott was grinding on a rail but lost his balance and fell.
“SICK FAIL!” Scott said on the video.
They watched and laughed at more of his videos as they enjoyed cookies and milk.
Once the videos were done, Hailey was still laughing a little before she stopped.
“Scott, these videos are amazing.” Hailey said.
“Aw, you’re just saying that.” Scott said.
“No really, they’re hilarious.” Hailey said.
“You know, I’ve gotta agree with Hailey here. They are pure entertainment.” Beta said. Though he was only saying this because several of them were fails.
“Aw thanks you two. That really means a lot.” Scott said.
Scott goes to the front door of Hailey’s house to get ready to leave and go back home.
“Thanks again Hailey. I know I’ve said it a lot in like the past I don’t know, 30 minutes or so. Maybe an hour, but I really meant it. Every single time.” Scott said.
“Oh, it’s no big deal. The best part was-“ Hailey started.
“No, I’m not talking about the videos Hailey.” Scott said.
“Oh. Then, what are you talking about?” Hailey asked, eyebrows raised.
“I’m talking about you being a friend.” Scott said. “Thank you Hailey. For being a great friend.” He said, giving her a soft smile.
They embrace in another long hug. “You’re welcome, Scott.”
“See you tomorrow?” Scott asked.
“Of course!” Hailey said. “Later Scott.” Hailey said.
“Catch ya later Hailes.” Scott said before doing finger guns at her with gun noises and almost stumbling in the process and turns around to leave.
Hailey laughs a little before waving and going back inside.
She wasn’t sure what the future held between him, Scott, or even Kristine, but she was sure of one thing: She’ll take things one step at a time.
