Shenhe would never see her coming.
Hu Tao smirked, tongue flicking out in true cat style. She tip-toed in the (almost) pitch-black darkness, faint light emanating from the spirit around her legs. She flickered her hand slightly, trying to find just the right position to pounce. She crouched down and waited, excitement obvious in her bright, orange eyes, ghost light flickering like a fire in them.
What Hu Tao didn’t account for however was her girlfriend’s senses. As in *adepti* senses.
So yes, she had indeed seen Hu Tao.
She doubted she could have missed those cat-like eyes staring at her in the dark anyways.
And like a good girlfriend, she gave no sign that she knew.
The adeptus smiled softly, combing her fingers through her loose hair. Then, straightening her back, she walked towards Hu Tao’s hiding spot, killing her smile to return her normal, dead stare. Taking three steps forward, she paused as the air shifted. And opening her arms, she caught a certain funeral director in her arms, kissing her catch on the nose.
Said funeral director pouted and crossed her arms, body fully supported by Shenhe’s grip on her upper thighs.
“And that’s how to scare an adeptus!” she loudly finished, the unsuspecting Beidou scribbling down notes furiously. Shenhe giggled almost silently before hugging the younger one’s waist.
She really was a good catch.
