Chapter Text
Bunny screamed when the ink slipped into the crack in her face. She slammed a hand against Fable’s body, trying to get it off , but it wouldn’t budge. Slips of paper slithered into the crack, and Bunny screamed louder. She could feel it inside of the cavity of her chest, spreading out to the tips of her fingers. Blues arms flew away from the bulk of Fable’s paper, locking in place.
Can’t have you trying to disintegrate me this time, little god . Fable’s voice was light, almost playful.
I am sorry, little god . Fable did not sound sorry. You just have been so… unreliable lately. You knew better than to visit the human .
Bunny kicked up, trying to pry Fable off of her with her knee, as tears formed in her eyes and more of Fable went into the crack. Blues legs stilled when the paper filled them, pinning them down.
Fable sighed, I am so disappointed. You really thought I wouldn’t know? . It pushed Bunny up, fully possessing her. Bunny’s joints creaked and ink leaked from the corners of her mouth.
Fable stretched and grinned, “Oh it’s so good to have a body again. Even if it is, ah, a little cracked.”
It wiped at the tears on Bunny’s face, “Oh stop crying, little god, this is for your own good.”
Fable suddenly doubled over and retched, spewing black ink all over the ground, coughing up a couple strips of paper.
It snarled, “Bunny. This is for you. Do not try to reject me.” It grabbed one of Bunny’s fingers, and wrenched it back, snapping the finger off.
Bunny screamed louder than before, and started crying harder. Blue couldn’t move, she couldn’t move .
“Every time you try to force me out, I’ll take another finger.” Fable growled, pocketing Bunny’s finger. It wiped at Bunny’s eyes again, “Now stop crying.”
Bunny sniffed and nodded quickly, trying to hold back the tears that came with the sensation of her body not being blue's own. The world faded around the edges and everything became slightly blurry, as blue detached .
“There we go,” Fable sounded satisfied, “Thank you, little god.”

Bunny didn’t know how long it took for Fable to reach Lambent's house, but the next thing she knew, Fable was standing outside their door in her body. It swayed while it walked slightly, not used to having this body.
“Fable.” It took all of Bunny’s concentration to move her mouth, “Please. Not them. Anyone but them.”
“You’re too attached to them,” Fable’s lip curled, “Shut up, little god. You’ll understand why I am doing this later.”
The door to Lambent’s house swung open, and Keys stepped out. “Bunny?” he faltered, “What are you doing here?” He frowned, “Hold on, let me get Lambent.” She disappeared into the house, closing the door behind it.
It took a couple seconds from Lambent to come out. It paused, “Bunny?” they sounded confused.
Fable took a step forward, pushing against Bunny. It swayed left and right, and smiled, making sure to cover up Bunny’s ink drenched teeth, “Yes. I am home.”
