Chapter Text
Walt & Austen's House
"So what do you think?" Austen asked after they watched his new movie that was about to be released next year. They had already eaten the dinner and unwrapped their presents. Also, they managed to call their kids to wish them merry Christmas and asked, if they liked their gifts.
"It was really great, love," Walt admitted and kissed the director.
When the man was about to stand up to make both of them tea, Austen grabbed his wrist and made him stay on the sofa. Walt looked at his husband a little confused but when he saw the last subtitles, he opened his eyes wider.
To my lovely husband who helped me created this movie.
"Why?" Walt asked, looking at the other man, gaping.
Austen smiled widely and stroked the man's cheek. "It's my present for you. I just wanted you to know how much I love you and that I owe everything I have to you. I wouldn't do any of this if it wasn't thanks to you, Walt." The man nearly let go of a single tear. His wife had never told him such things, even at the very beginning of their marriage.
"Thank you, darling," Walt said, hugging his husband tight. "I'm really happy we're together. Finally, I feel content and loved. You changed my life, Austen."
The two men shared a passionate kiss and cuddled on the sofa, watching another movie and after a while, calling their children once more to talk about their Christmas. It was really a well spent holiday for the both of them.
Romeo & Ludvico's Cottage
Both men took the offer from the priest and joined the mass. It was something new for them but not very unpleasant. They just decided to follow what the other people were doing and tried not to stand out of the crowd. However, when the mass ended, they came back to their temporary cottage and spent the time together.
"I heard from some peasant that on Christmas you're supposed to give presents to one another so I have something for you," Romeo said and gave Ludvico a silver necklace that had Montague craved on it. "It's my family's necklace but it's also the most valuable thing I posses so I wanted you to have as a token of our friendship."
The Cypriot looked at the jewellery carefully and then gently put in on his neck. He read the name once more and smiled to himself.
"Thank you, Romeo, however, I also have something for you," he admitted and took a ring from his pocket. "It's the only thing I was allowed to take from my possession. I'd like you to wear it." The man put the ring on Romeo's finger and then suddenly kissed it lightly.
It took Romeo by surprise so he blushed, trying to avoid Ludvico's look. He did feel something for the man but it was inappropriate. He barely knew his yet he felt that he could spend with him his whole life.
"Romeo, I feel like there won't be a better time to say it." The Cypriot grabbed Romeo's hands and he fortunately didn't take them away. "I know we've known each other for a short period of time but I trust you with my life and I don't want our friendship to end after the next couple of days." And after those words he connected their lips in a loving kiss.
The younger man firstly didn't know what to do but after a while he let himself put his hands on the Cypriot's shoulders and deepened the kiss. From that day on, they knew they would never be alone again.
Doug & Harry's Theatre
Doug sat down in his seat and waited for the play to start. He got to sit in a first row so he was able to see Harry very well. He knew how excited Jones was to finally play in a spectacle after such a long time. The actor was preparing for it the entire day and promised husband that he wouldn't be disappointed which Doug had already known. Harry was indeed a very good actor.
When the play started, Doug was amazed when he saw his husband on the stage. He was moving with such grace and his voice was even smoother than usual. He was completely dragged into the play. He looked at the audience but seemed like he saw something completely different there. Dough could notice his excitement in his eyes and that made the man smile even wider during the whole spectacle.
After the three hours spent in the theatre, the actors went on the stage and bowed, listening to the applause. The audience cheered the most when Harry showed himself among the rest of the actors. He was the main star today, asked by the director himself to play in this spectacle.
Then, when the actor left the stage, Harry was the only one there and took the microphone.
"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. First of all, thank you for coming here, even on Christmas. I'd like to wish you all merry Christmas and everything the best. Happiness, health and spending as much time as you can with your families." The audience cheered and when then went quiet again, Harry continued speaking. "However, I'd also love to thank my lovely husband, Doug." Jones pointed at the man sitting in the front row. "He is the most important person in my life and thanks to him I'm here tonight." The audience made a long 'awe'. "Doug," Harry continued and came closer to the edge of the stage. "I love you with the bottom of my heart, thank you for spending every day with me."
Dough smiled widely and screamed. "I love you too, darling!"
And the rest of their lovely night continued in private, in their house.
James & Paul's House
Paul had been keeping his painting in secret for about a month. He had to be sure it was perfect. Sometimes, James was getting annoyed with how mysterious Paul was. He had told him that it was something for his job and it wouldn't interest the writer. That's why, when Paul entered the room once more on the Boxing Day, James was about to lose his patience.
When Bates left the room he approached him.
"Okay, Paul, that's enough, it's Christmas and I think we shou-" he didn't finish.
"I'm so sorry, love but I just needed to finish it," the man said and showed his husband the painting.
James was speechless. He looked at the painting and couldn't stop smiling. It was him, sitting under a tree with his note in his hands. However, the surrounding wasn't as realistic as it should be. The sky above his was slightly darker and starry, like he had the whole universe above him. The sheets of paper were floating around him as he was occupied with writing. It looked like a scene from a fantasy movie. It was lovely.
"Y-you did this?" James asked, still shocked.
Paul pointed at the corner of the painting where they could see a small P.B. "Of course, I did it. I really wanted to make something special for you,"
James smiled brightly and kissed his husband deeply. Paul smiled into the kiss, knowing that his lover liked the present.
"Thank you, love," James said as they pulled back. "Where can I hand it?"
"Wherever you want, my dear," Bates smiled.
The panting was eventually hanged on their bedroom's wall, since James really wanted to be reminded of how amazing husband he had.
Kevin & Castor's Flat (and another Flat)
Kevin wasn't really happy during Christmas. He really wanted to go back to Earth but also he knew that it would be problematic. And he didn't want to cause more problems. Castor knew this as well but he was still trying to get an antidote to Thompson's issue. He was walking around the town, talking to people and doing all he could to help his lover. He could do anything to make Kevin happy. Especially, during Christmas.
"Hello, dearest," he said, entering the flat. Kevin was reading a book as he wasn't in a mood for anything else.
"Hi, darling," Thompson answered and didn't pay more attention to his lover.
Castor, on the other hand, came closer to Kevin and took the book from his hands, kissing his head.
"Hey, I was reading this," the Englishman frowned and crossed his arms on his chest.
"Oh, stop sulking and come with me," the android held his hand and fortunately Kevin took it.
He was leading him to the portal. About halfway to it, the man noticed it and tried to pull back. However, the blond wasn't going to let him go. He nearly had to force Kevin to enter the portal and as soon as they found themselves in London, Thompson kept his mouth shut, no matter that they were in some alley where they couldn't have been seen. Meanwhile, Castor changed his appearance, his skin colour was more human like now but the hair stayed as white as they'd been.
"Stop panicking, love," the android rubbed his lover's shoulders. "I have something for you."
When Castor showed Kevin a small vial with some green liquid, the man's eyes widened. The android only nodded and waited for Kevin to drink it. Once he did it, he was asked to try it.
"Hey, you!" he said to a stranger. "Cross the road." The man looked at Kevin with confusion and kept on walking.
The Englishman turned around and hugged his lover tight.
"It works! Castor, it works!" he shouted happily and kissed the android.
"Then I think it's time to celebrate," he smiled and both of them went to Kevin's old flat to have a proper Christmas.
Alan & Mark's House
The men had a rather quiet Christmas. They focused mostly on spending the time together in silence. Both of them needed that and Christmas was the best way to do it. Mostly their time was spent on cuddling on the sofa and watching Christmas movies. Some of them turned out to be a little triggering for Mark but Alan was always there to help his husband. After all, they were there for each other. After the incident with the gingerbread house, Mark was a little anxious about the next attempts but eventually he was convinced by Alan that it was worth a try.
"See? I told you, it'd be perfect," Hamilton said and kissed his husband as they put the last piece of the house.
Mark was standing there, not fully believing that they'd done it. He was still afraid of Alan eventually leaving him but day after day his husband showed him that this would not happen ever.
"Thank you, darling," the man said and kissed Alan. "With you everything seems possible."
"It's just because I have the best husband in the world," Hamilton pointed out. "I have the best Christmas ever."
After that, they continued their peaceful Christmas, enjoying their lovely time together, eventually eating the house.
Cale & Yusuf's Cell
The Christmas came and Cale had no interest in it. After all, he was locked up in a cell with some bomber who also didn't want him around. It was all about to be shit until Yusuf woke up with that stupid grin on his face as he spoke, yawning loudly.
"Merry Christmas, Cale," he said and lied on his side to face the other man.
"Shut up," Erendreich answered and gave him a deadly look. "And I thought you were muslim, why do you celebrate Christmas?"
Yusuf sat up on his bed. "Good point. Well, my kids like to celebrate it. And no, I don't pray like Christians, I just like the commercial side of it. It's nice."
Cale lifted his eyebrows. "Whatever." He shrugged and looked away from his inmate.
"How about your Christmas?" Yusuf asked, sitting in front of Cale, not too close so that the man couldn't reach him.
"My Christmas?" he smirked. "My Christmas was always shit. My parents didn't care about me, that's why I got a nanny. Yeah, I did get expensive presents, best food but nothing about these made me feel like I had a true Christmas with my family. That's why, I'd appreciate if you shut up."
Yusuf was taken by surprise. He didn't expect such an answer but actually felt sorry for the man.
"Okay then, so how about we turn this day so that it won't be that shitty?"
Something in the man's voice was so encouraging that Cale nodded slightly. And that's how they spent the whole day, getting to know each other, somebody would say falling in love with each other. But that's not the place for such things.
David & Michael's Houses
David was sitting in his kitchen, waiting for his friend to answer the call. He hadn't heard from him for quite some time. He really missed him that's why he decided to call before he would go to Scotland to his parents.
"Michael!" he said with a big smile when he saw the Welshman on the screen.
"David, nice to see you!" Sheen asnwered with the same kind of a smile. "How's your Christmas been?"
Tennant chuckled. "Oh, you know, we had a lovely Christmas Eve with Georgia's parents, then of Christamas Day the kids went quite early to sleep, even Ty, so Gerogia and I spent her birthday togeter and well now we're going to Scotland to my parents," David said. "And you?"
"Lily came over yesterday which was a very nice present," Michael smiled at the thought of his daughther. "Lyra was really excited about it. That's how Anna and I got some private time together which was really nice. And today we're sort of resting, you know."
The two men were talking to each other about what they got Christmas, even what they ate and, of course, about how much they missed each other during that time. It turned out that the time spent on the set was really needed for both of them.
"David! Come on, the kids are in the car!" Georgia shouted from the corridor.
Tennant sighed. "Ugh, I gotta go, Michael," he said apologetically.
"No, no, it's fine, David, Christmas is for families, isn't it? But I'm glad you called, I missed you," the Welshman admitted with a bright smile.
"So, I guess we're seeing each other in 2022," David chuckled.
"We are," Michael smiled. "Say hi to your parents."
The Scot nodded. "Got it. See you back on set!"
"See you, David!"
