"You do?" Khun repeats, his cerulean gaze glimmering with fondness.

"I lied," Bam smiles, "I love you so much."

Khun huffs, "Bam.. I–I.." he stammers, letting go of Bam's hand and tucking his own hair behind his ear. He backs away from the brunet, avoiding his gaze as much as possible.

Work Text:

Bam is handsome, and that's a given.

Not only that – he's kind, charming, approachable, lovable, smart, and everything you'd like in a person, basically.

Naturally, having Valentine's day as an excuse to confess to someone you like and laughing it off if they ever reject you, everyone takes this as a chance to give Bam flowers, sweet chocolates and never-ending love letters that reek of expensive perfume. Bam is obviously kind enough to accept all of them, and he certainly does not have the courage to throw them out. He grins awkwardly as Yuri, a senior, is currently caught slipping in the nth love letter in Bam's locker.

"Ah, hey, Bam!" Yuri cheerfully greets, forcefully shoving the letter in and waving her hand at him. "Don't mind me, I was just–just slipping in letters of encouragement to my friends!" She excuses, sauntering back with a nervous laugh. Her gaze goes down to the handful of chocolates that Bam is struggling to hold, and she smiles apologetically.

"You have a lot on your hands, huh?" She teases, and Bam lets out a sigh.

"Well, it's alright. I just kind of wish they would tone it down a bit.." Bam says with a smile, moving past Yuri. He struggles to open the locker with one hand, and when he does, a pile of letters fall onto his feet.

Bam hums, close to giving up as he squats down to pick the letters up. A hand rests on top of his head, "classes are starting in a bit, I'll see you later, alright, Bam?" Yuri says, not bothering to help the poor brunet. Bam nods in response; not really having the best time of his life.

He's grateful for all the gifts given to him, but it doesn't help when it's too much for him to handle. Bam had to get used to the attention, but he can't bring himself to get used to this damned event called Valentine's. He just can't.

And now he has a master plan, something he has been thinking of for some time now:

Giving a letter to the person he likes.

Well, it wouldn't be much of a difference, really. He'd still receive letters and whatnot but he just hopes and prays to the heavens above that it would stop or lessen somehow.

Yet his impulsive decisions led him to write an anonymous love letter, spraying it with his own perfume, then going to school, and… slipping it inside the person's locker?

But how is the person supposed to know it's Bam when the said boy literally decided to be a secret admirer?

Goddamn it, Bam! He mentally scolds himself, so much for writing an essay-like letter just to hide your identity!

Bam ruffles his hair out of frustration at the thought, and someone kneels right next to him. His eyes land on the person's dainty fingers, helping in picking the letters up. He quickly recognizes who it is, and he looks up to see the prettiest man alive.

Khun Aguero Agnis. Bam's closest friend,

And crush..

.. Okay, maybe he's in love with Khun, considering that he had made a full-blown essay last night just to confess to the delicate boy right next to him.

"Hey, Bam. You smell great today, and –" Khun greets with a sudden compliment, still picking up the letters. "– You seem to be having trouble carrying all of these, as usual."

Bam is unable to move nor further comprehend what Aguero said, the compliment painting his pale cheeks warm red. He slightly moves away when the back of their hands lightly brush against each other, golden eyes widened. Khun raises a brow, expecting Bam to say something.

How can Bam say anything when he's greeted by such beauty?

Well, uh – anyway, Bam replies with a stutter, "yeah, as–as usual," like he's not familiar with Khun, who has been his closest friend since they started highschool.

Khun chuckles, "the amount of love letters never fail to surprise me each year, and you're still single?" He teases, shoving some of the letters in Bam's bag and patting it as soon as he zips the bag close.

"How about you?" Bam counters, smiling when Khun crosses his arms. "Don't you receive the same amount of letters?"

The pretty boy hums in thought, standing and helping Bam up. ".. I don't get as much as you do, golden boy." Khun says with a smile, lightly punching Bam's arm.

He shrugs, "and you know very well that I'm not really interested in relationships. Although.." His gaze goes from Bam's head to toe, a lopsided smirk evident on his face. "I could try and date you."

And now what does Bam, who is currently bewildered and hopelessly in love with Khun, respond to that?

Bam almost screams, but he'll do it internally. Just this once, suppressing himself from exclaiming "just fucking date me!" And possibly losing his best friend in the process.

Instead he laughs, and with a forced smile, he says: "that's nice to hear."

Nice to hear? Bam's conscience beats Bam up, how does that answer anything?!

Khun's chuckle makes Bam mishear it as wedding bells, "you're really cute, you know?" He comments, ruffling Bam's hair.

You see, the difference between Yuri and Khun's touches are unparalleled; a simple touch from Khun causes Bam to feel all fuzzy, whilst Yuri is just as warm, but could never compare to the way Bam immensely feels about his best friend.

Bam doesn't say anything, nuzzling into Khun's touch and enjoying it. Khun finally pulls his warm hand away, taking some of the chocolate from Bam's arms and settling them inside his own bag.

"I'll keep these for you alright?" Khun asks for consent, and Bam nods. "Thanks as always, Khun."

Khun returns the acknowledgement with a curl of his lips, turning to his locker right next to Bam's and opening it. He seems to frown at the letters that are also piled up but not enough to flow down, deciding to ignore them and continuing on with his day.

Bam gulps whilst looking at Khun's neglected love letters; genuinely terrified that Khun might throw his heartfelt, cheesy confession away.

Khun might not like wasting his time reading the letters.. not like I read all of mine, either. Bam thinks, grinning when Khun glances at him.

And come to think of it, does Khun even look like he's romantically interested in me? Bam taps on his locker. He loads in the remaining letters inside, deep in thought with a pout apparent on his face.

"Go finish whatever you're doing before we get to our classes. We might run a little late." Khun says, snapping Bam away from whatever daze he was in. He gestures to Bam's locker with a grin.

".. Sorry, Khun. you can go first, I have a lot to.. fix." Bam gives Khun a small smile, gesturing to his locker and putting in some books not needed for the first class.

Khun hums, opening his mouth to say something. He hesitates for a second, closing his mouth and nodding once. "I'll see you in class, Bam." He winks at Bam, holding onto his shoulder before leaving for class.

Bam finally lets out a breath of relief once Khun is away from earshot, not getting the chance to close his locker when someone lounges their body right at him.

Once again, the letters and some books flood onto the floor. Bam curses aloud – but his friend, Wangnan, drowns it with his enthusiastic voice.

"Viole~! So, Did you give it to him? Did you at least slide the letter in his locker?" Wangnan starts bombarding Bam with questions, holding him close with a big grin.

"Okay, Wangnan, please calm down." Bam wriggles himself free from Wangnan's grasp, squatting and picking the poor letters and books up once more. So much for Khun helping him out.

".. I can't do it." He decides to settle with the answer, standing back up and organizing them inside his locker as if he wants to design them all over.

An overly exaggerated gasp falls out of Wangnan's lips, "why not? Do you need a reason or two on how easy he would accept your letter?" He asks, letting out a huff.

"Isn't it obvious how much Khun likes you? I mean – the tension in the air while both of you picked the letters up, the subtle flirting, the yearning–" "Alright! I get it, Wangnan." Bam cuts his friend off, the tips of his ears tinted in red.

"It's easier said than done, you know. Although Khun is showing motives.. I just can't bring myself to confess.. I think. I don't even know if he really likes me that way." Bam continues, glancing at his side to see Wangnan's reaction.

Wangnan.. has an unreadable expression; it was as if he is looking at Bam asking, "how stupid can you be?" Or saying, "it's not your fault for being in love with your best friend. I pity you, actually."

Since the start of highschool, Wangnan has always been there for Bam, like Khun. Both boys have always been supporting each other whether it be the lowest of the low, or simply the happiest times of their lives. They're almost inseparable if not for Bam sticking with Khun. Not that Wangnan minds, although Bam finds it so obvious that Wangnan is sick of looking at both Khun and Bam being so touchy-feely with each other, and there's 'no feelings attached', at that.

Bam mentally apologizes to Wangnan for bearing the pain of having to listen about his miserable love life, closing his locker with a sigh. "What do you think?" He starts walking towards their first class.

"What do I think?" Wangnan exaggerates, following right next to him. "I think that you should man up and confess! But it doesn't matter what I think, because you've been pining for years and still haven't made an actual move!" Wangnan starts rambling, having some people glance at them.

"Fine, but I won't be giving the letter to him personally." Bam finally gives in, stepping inside their classroom just as the bell rings, deeming that classes are about to start.

"Whatever makes you happy I guess," Wangnan replies, playfully rolling his eyes.

During class, Bam is all but focusing on his studies. The majority of his thoughts lay on as to how he would give the letter to the special person, flinching when someone suddenly taps on his shoulder. He turns his head to the right, smiling softly as he sees Ehwa, his classmate – or most likely, acquaintance.

Is it break time already..? He stupidly questions himself, finally noticing the rowdy classroom full of students squealing at others asking the person they like out. Bam's gaze lands on Ehwa.

"Hey, dimwit." Ehwa greets rather impolitely, looking away from Bam. Her cheeks are flushed, hiding something behind her. Bam tilts his head to get a better view, but Ehwa only moves further so Bam wouldn't see.

"What's up?" Bam decides to ask instead, slightly pouting. The girl finally looks at Bam, biting her bottom lip as if to stop herself from smiling. Bam – dense as he is – patiently waits without knowing the obvious.

Ehwa gets a cheer from Goseng right behind her, and she shrinks from Bam's intense gaze.

"Ehwa.." Bam is about to reach out and ask if she is doing alright; yet Ehwa is the first to react, slamming the chocolates and letter down on Bam's table, having the said boy jolt in surprise. Well, he didn't anticipate that.

"They're for you!" Ehwa declares, turning over her shoulder and running outside as if she's scared of what Bam has to say.

Bam is baffled, not able to chase after the ebony-haired girl – choosing to gently put the chocolate and letter in his already-full bag. Still on his seat, he looks for his blond friend. No words are needed when Wangnan unquestionably appears right next to him, standing with arms crossed.

"Do you see it now, Bam?" Wangnan is the first to talk.

"See what? That Ehwa likes me and I'm too oblivious?" Bam sarcastically counters, smiling at Wangnan as if to taunt him.

Wangnan smiles back, "you're correct, but what I'm saying is that you can't do what the others could: actually confess."

"And that concerns me, because..?"

"Because–!" Wangnan groans, genuinely giving up on his friend. "You know what? Just– why don't you just give the letter to Khun by asking one of his many siblings?"

Suddenly, an epiphany hits Bam. Of course! He smiles widely – almost full of hope. Just as he is about to stand up and run to wherever Ran or even Hachuling is, he abruptly stops. Bam sits back down with a screech from his chair, looking all gloomy.

This has Wangnan quirking a brow, ".. What is it now?"

"I.. I don't wanna bother them.." Bam looks up at Wangnan with his puppy doe eyes, and the blond is so close to crying out of frustration. However, Wangnan exerts a lot of effort to calm himself down, palming on Bam's shoulder. "Viole, my precious Viole.." He exhaustedly sighs, "you're on your own."

"Wangnan, I'm sorry.." Bam apologizes, holding onto Wangnan's hand firmly. The said boy nods in understanding, "I'm sure you'll find a way."

".. Yeah, of course I will." Bam replies.

Khun is handsome, and that's a given.

It's not like he's unaware of the fact, but he can't bother knowing that he has people who.. admire him.

Valentine's is just like any other day; what differentiates it from others are the stereotyped words in love letters and overly sweet chocolates given to the person they like.

And so, he had not prepared nor planned anything for today, because his heightened pride thought that just meeting Bam was enough for him. When he spotted Bam squatting to pick the letters up from the ground, he couldn't help but frown.

Should I have made a letter at least..? Was what he first thought to himself, brushing it off as soon as he saw his best friend ruffling his own hair. Cute.

There goes Khun's poor heart again, having the urge to just reach out and ruffle Bam's hair. And maybe squish his cheeks and pull him in for a kiss–

One thing led to another, with Khun weirdly commenting about how good he smelled, like melted chocolate, luring me in. Khun thought – he flirted with Bam and carded his fingers through soft brunet hair, wanting to hold the oblivious boy close the next. He pulled away when he realized what he was doing, still keeping a warm smile on.

Where did his pride run off to now? Had his confidence and ignorance suddenly pounced on it?

He had to restrain himself, but his unruly mouth even wanted to walk Bam to his class! Thankfully, Bam asked him to go first. He was about to say that he'd wait for as long as it took, but he wouldn't go that far. Not yet, at least.

Instead, he closed his mouth and started walking to his own class, but he wouldn't be walking without his mind clouded in abominable thoughts.

Now Khun is sitting close to a window, playing with his pen out of boredom. It's currently break time, and to prevent from further embarrassing himself, he decides not to go out until the last minute.

Nice plan, Khun, he praises himself, half-mindedly taking a chocolate bar from his bag and observing it. He leans on his chair and his brows furrow, Bam likes these kinds of chocolate.. now hold on, what am I doing? He stops himself from opening the chocolate bar, shoving it back in his bag. He clicks his tongue out of annoyance.

And while he does so, a familiar arm snakes around his shoulders. Khun swiftly shrugs the said arm down, glaring at his friend, Shibisu.

"Khun, my love~ don't be so cold. I can see that you have a lot of sweets in your bag. Now tell me, is it Bam that gave you those chocolates?" Shibisu greets, quickly interrogating Khun as if he isn't afraid of the deathly glare that Khun is giving him.

Khun looks away with closed eyes, huffing and crossing his arms. Although he seems to be nonchalant of the sudden question, the tips of his pesky ears are obviously red. Shibisu grins, sitting on the empty seat next to Khun's. He props his chin on the palm of his hand, leaning on the table.

"Bam knows that you don't like sweets, so I'll just assume those are from the people that like him. Am I right?" Shibisu continues, wary of his word choices; deciding to value his life.

"Well, you aren't wrong on that.." Khun unfolds his arms, tapping on his table anxiously. Shibisu waits for Khun to say something, still grinning. The bluenette finally looks at Shibisu, his eyes looking as if he's pleading. He breathes in – hesitating for a moment. And finally:

"Shibisu, I haven't done anything for Bam this Valentine's, but I feel like I have to. What do I do?"

Shibisu blinks, certainly not expecting the question. Hell, even Khun is unsure as to why he suddenly asked his friend, who is just as single as he is. Khun waves his hand dismissively, "you know what–"

"Khun, my love.." Shibisu's voice is soft when he cuts Khun off – and it's almost too serious for Khun's liking. The said boy continues to stay silent, willing to listen as to what Shibisu's response will be.

".. You're so whipped." Shibisu frivolously replies, stopping his own snort when Khun gives him a cold stare.

Shibisu clears his throat in hopes of also clearing his own sins, and seriously says, "you've known and liked Bam since we started highschool, and now you're thinking of giving him something? That's nice and all, though.." Shibisu looks at Khun, and gives him a reassuring smile. "He might have thought of giving you something, too."

Shibisu has a point, and it's not like Bam is a stranger to him, too. Knowing Bam in Shibisu's perspective, he could assume that Bam will give Khun something.

But the actual question is: "does Bam even like me?" He voices his thought out, and Shibisu's eyes widen for a second, squinting them the next.

"I really can't understand the tension between the both of you, always so head over heels for each other – yet your question is 'does Bam even like me'?" Shibisu sighs, shooking his head in disappointment. "You're on your own, my love."

Khun raises a brow, "you never even helped me in the first place?"

"What are you saying?" Shibisu asks, clutching on his chest and looking as though he's been hurt. "I've always been your wingman, man! Even if it's not obvious, I make sure that the both of you have your time alone!"

The bluenette lets out a laugh, standing up. "Alright then, thanks I guess. But now I don't know what to give Bam." He walks outside their classroom, and Shibisu tails behind, continuing to digress about how much of an 'amazing wingman' he is, or something like that. He finally decides to go out with the remaining time they had, hoping that Bam has gone back to his classroom, not wanting to risk the chance of bumping into him and half-mindedly acting on his own accord again.

Whenever he faces Bam, his self-control suddenly disappears out of thin air; the confidence and coldness of his voice falling into fondness and affection if Bam is involved. When Khun realized that he felt something for the brunet, he tried his best to push such vague feelings away and avoid the boy in question.

But how is he supposed to do that when Bam is overly attractive it frustrates Khun to no end? Looking at Bam is enough to tug on his heart strings. Who gave Bam the right to be so handsome, and nice, and cute, and smart, and athletic, and strong, and so.. so–

Shibisu gasps when a single letter falls out of Khun's locker, pointing at it like an idiot. Khun looks at his friend, almost glaring at him for dragging him out of his (rather lovely) thoughts. Yet his gaze turns the lone letter, squatting and picking it up.

The scent of the letter intoxicates him; immediately familiarizing the smell. He widens his eyes, a flow of profanities falling out of his lips. Shibisu stares at him with intent, confused yet intrigued. "My love—"

"Bam.." Khun whispers, turning to Shibisu with his mouth agape. The other letters left in his locker abandoned; forgotten, because good god, Bam wrote him a letter?

"Holy shit!" Shibisu exclaims, smiling from ear-to-ear. "Is it written there that he made it for you?"

Khun shooks his head, staring at the roses scribbled outside the letter, with a beautifully written For Khun at the middle of it. All of them are obviously made by Bam, which makes Khun grin like an idiot. But all I could focus on is the scent..

It smells like melted chocolate..

"Khun isn't here..?" Bam worriedly asks Shibisu, peeking over his schoolmate's shoulder. He sees that Khun's bag isn't there anymore to confirm that he had already taken off. Shibisu shooks his head, slightly frowning. "He went home early, and I don't know why."

Honestly speaking, Bam doesn't know why his feet dragged him to Khun's classroom when school ended – but he was, and is still anxious. He had slipped the letter in Khun's locker as soon as he gained the confidence to. Of course, he wouldn't be able to do so without people giving him more chocolates and letters on the way, he even almost lost his own anonymous letter for Khun in the vast sea of letters overflowing in his hold.

When he finally finished, he had not bothered to tell Wangnan as he went back to class, his hair was disheveled, and his usual luminous eyes were dead tired. He wasn't even sure if it was the sudden thought of Khun smiling while reading his letter, or if Bam was in the heat of the moment that led him to make another rash decision. Wangnan was about to ask him something right after the bell rang since Bam looked pale, but the said boy stood up too fast, hitting his knee while he was at it.

He took his bag, shouted "Sorry!", and "Khun!" as if it was an urgent matter while he ran out of their classroom, and now here he is – not really, but actually panicking because Khun isn't anywhere to be seen.

Bam isn't the least bit convinced, and continues to pry, "what happened? Did he catch a fever? I'll visit him!" He says with such determination that Shibisu makes a face, turning soft in no less than a second.

"No, he didn't. I'm not really sure myself, Bam. Why don't you make sure if he's alright? Or.. are you here because you wanted to take the chocolates from him?" Shibisu gives Bam a taunting smile.

The brunet widens his eyes, completely forgetting about the chocolates that Khun put in his bag just to help. To be frank, the said chocolates are his favorite, but that isn't the situation right now! All he can coherently think of is Khun, Khun, and Khun!

"Not the chocolates –" Bam didn't get the chance to give Shibisu a white lie, yet he continues after a pause, "– you were with him! You should have checked on him– ugh!" Bam rakes his hair, pacing around in circles. He stops, facing his friend and pleading, "Shibisu, please, tell me honestly before I go, is Khun alright?"

He uses his much-loved puppy eyes, one which weakens anyone looking at him. This seems to have an effect on Shibisu, for he groans in defeat. He opens his mouth to say something, but someone suddenly interjects, calling out Bam's name.

The voice seems all too familiar and feminine, and Bam looks back to see Endorsi and Yuri approaching side-by-side, but it seems like… they're bumping into each other's shoulders intentionally?

With that said, Bam heaves out a sigh, not quite ready to face Endorsi – the most challenging student that hasn't given up on him. He has known her since the first year of highschool, too. Both he and Khun were suddenly approached by Endorsi one peaceful break time, and that was the start of a.. weird, but fruitful friendship.

Khun and Endorsi didn't really get along that well, but when it comes to Bam, both of them are somehow always on the same wavelength.

Stepping Khun aside from Bam's mind, Endorsi is with Yuri, just as troublesome as she is. He genuinely wishes that Khun would just randomly come by, take his hand and pull him away like he always does; both of them running around in the hallways as if their lives were at risk.

.. So much for not wanting Khun in his mind. (To hell with that statement, Bam's mind has been filled with the thought of Khun today).

But alas, the person he has been wanting to see and ask if his letter had been thrown out or had been acknowledged isn't here, and Bam has to deal with two girls who drain the living life out of him.

Behind him, Shibisu holds onto Bam's shoulder in a comforting way, "Khun is at home, and he's alright, Bam. You should check on him if you'd like. But I know you'll go to him even if I tell you not to." Shibisu reassures, going back into his classroom.

Bam turns over his shoulder with a ghastly face, what about helping me with my current situation?! Bam thinks, so close to reaching out to Shibisu for help. Yet Yuri drags him close – and with a bright smile she greets, "Bam! how are you? I told you we'd be meeting later!"

Endorsi lets out a wry chuckle, pulling Bam close to her by his slim waist. "Really now? I hadn't known that, but I have to ask, Bam.. are you free today?" She questions, both girls sandwiching Bam.

The brunet sighs, ".. No, I have a date."

Saying and realizing what Bam himself had said, his cheeks turn bright red. He gently bites on his tongue to stop himself from blurting out such absurd assumptions.

Yuri pulls away and steps back, but she continues to grin proudly. Endorsi holds onto Bam closer with a pout, and the said boy sighs for the nth time today.

"I told you so!" Yuri exclaims, "I won the bet – Bam isn't single!"

Hearing that, Bam looks at Yuri and curiously tilts his head to the side. Other students that have been passing by halt their steps, also looking at Yuri. Silence drapes over the atmosphere, and the next are whispers, dispersing little by little as the students continue on with their day.

Should Bam be worried? It's not like he cared about his reputation in the first place, but right now he can't seem to focus on anything, for all he wants to do right now is run up to Khun and blatantly tell him that he wants to date, and cuddle him close later on.. and maybe kiss, if that were alright. But that isn't the point.

He's had enough, and before Bam could pull away from Endorsi and impulsively shout at the top of his lungs that he is indeed an idiot in love; Endorsi steps away from Bam first, directing her frown at the senior next to them.

With crossed arms, Endorsi huffs. ".. I think I know who Bam's date is.." She awkwardly says, moving to rub her nape. "I guess I lost another bet."

"Bet? What Bet?" Bam exasperatedly yet tiredly questions. Endorsi and Yuri exchange looks, and Yuri shooks her head. "I don't know the other one, but I won! Hand over the money, woman." She declares, reaching her palm out in front of Endorsi with a mocking grin.

Endorsi grumbles and takes her expensive wallet out, all the while Bam rakes his own hair back out of frustration. He takes a step back, "I need to go.." he politely says, and both girls look at him, smiling.

"Go ahead, Bam. No one's stopping you." Yuri reassures, "we only wanted to know if you're single. The person sure is lucky."

The brunette handing Yuri a handful of money avoids Bam's gaze as soon as they meet, silently nodding in agreement. And here Bam thought that Endorsi would be the most difficult to handle – bothering him to no end just to know who he likes.

Bam – still confused but finally free – smiles brightly, "thank you so much!" He excitedly says, happily running off and doing his best to avoid the crowd of students eagerly walking outside of the school grounds.

Since he's been rest assured by Shibisu that Khun isn't sick, he doesn't bother running to the convenience store; deciding to run wherever Khun's house is.

And once he reaches the place, he abruptly halts himself just right in front of the doorstep.

Contemplating would lead him nowhere, already arriving at the Khun residence. So he breathes in, and heaves out a breath. Once, twice, and thrice. It doesn't help in calming his heart down, but at least he's trying.

Alright, Bam. Now or never! He encourages himself, his trembling hand reaching out to knock on the door, forgetting about the doorbell that is only needed to press for it to ring.

Should he have at least bought something for Khun and his siblings?

There is no time to think, though. An all-too familiar voice calls out, "please wait!" They say, as Bam's heart is a step closer to exploding.

Distinct chatters are merely heard behind the door, and Bam can't help but bite his bottom lip when the door finally swings open, revealing a bluenette. A very, very pretty bluenette, at that.

The bluenette has his head turned to the side, "I told you that Bam isn't my boyfriend! –" Khun exclaims, turning to the said boy. His beautiful eyes widen as soon as he sees him, completely taken aback.

"... Hey, Bam!" Khun immediately says, smiling widely.

Bam would be greeting Khun by now if not for his face.

Khun has a facial mask on.

The Khun Aguero Agnis is wearing a facial mask with his bangs tied up into a half-ponytail.

Bam finds him far too adorable.

Once again, Bam stops to think.

Why is Bam here?

It's at the back of his head, yet he can't seem to put a finger on it.

What's it called..? He questions himself, looking at the adorable boy right in front of him.

Ah,

Curiosity killed the cat, as Bam remembers it.

Bam gives Khun a small smile, disregarding the fact that Khun was just talking about him. At some point, just by seeing Khun eases him – already feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. ".. Hi, Khun."

"Bam! Hey–hey there.. I didn't expect you here.." Khun clears his throat, fixing his facial mask.

A voice inside Khun's house greets, "hey! Bam's there? Let me see your boyfriend!"

The brunet continues to look at Khun, who seems to be clenching his jaw; stopping himself from murdering someone. Bam chuckles, finding his reaction rather cute. He peeks inside Khun's house, waving at whoever owns the voice.

They're both Hachuling and Ran, busying themselves with beating each other in a game, not even sparing a glance at Bam as Ran comments, "turns out the person is A.A's Bam after all."

Bam looks at Khun hearing that, his own cheeks feeling warm and tingly. Khun lets out a sigh, looking back at Bam.

Both boys stay silent, their gazes meeting. Bam starts to feel his heart racing each second.

"What's up, Bam? Do you need anything?" Khun finally asks after a long pause, averting his gaze.

"You left early, so.. I got worried.." Bam honestly replies, abandoning the thought of the letter than Khun had probably thrown away.

Khun hums, leaning his back on the doorframe with a smirk. "Tell me, Bam.." He pauses, licking his bottom lip. Bam's eyes follow the movement. "You're here for the chocolates, aren't you?"

"Huh?" Bam snaps away from his daze, holding onto his bag strap for his dear life. "I–I guess so..?"

The pretty bluenette slightly pouts, fixing his half-ponytail and pushing himself away from the doorframe. "Come in, and ignore them." He says, gesturing to his brothers as he walks into the hallway.

Bam welcomes himself in, closing the door behind and waving once again when Hachuling glances at him. The said man grins, kindly saying, "take care of our A.A. alright?"

Dumbfounded, Bam nods with a smile. "I will..?" He answers the question with a question, rushing to follow Khun behind.

Out of all the times Bam has visited, why now? He truly can't understand Khun's siblings. Either way, he likes hanging out with them – both brothers have been rather kind (or weird..?) these days whenever they bump into Bam; well, at least it's better than before when they bore holes into him when he first visited their home.

Dragging himself out of his own thoughts, once they finally arrive in the familiar room, Bam sets his bag down with a sigh. He looks around before landing his gaze to wherever Khun is, taking something from his drawers. Bam has the sudden urge to walk up behind him and hug his best friend, but he thinks that it would be rather inappropriate.

Plus, he can't even bring himself to reach out and hold Khun's hand, what more with a simple hug?

Khun closes his drawer, turning and grinning at Bam. He hides the item behind his back, walking over to the brunet and closing the door with one hand.

"The chocolates are still inside my bag, but.. it's pretty embarrassing that you've seen me with a facial mask on, so.." He slowly reveals the item in hand, and it's..

Of course, a facial mask.

Bam chuckles nervously, scratching his cheek. "But I think you look adorable with the facial mask on.. and I don't think you need to see me in one.."

His best friend says otherwise, raising a brow. Khun crosses his arms, "come on now, it's for your skin, not for me to make fun of you."

That's not what I'm concerned about! ".. Fine." Bam relents, smiling softly when Khun happily drags him to his bed. He obediently sits down, and Khun swiftly takes a hair tie out. Khun weighs his knee on one side of the bed, "stay still alright? I'll put it on you after tying your hair."

Bam nods, closing his eyes when Khun brushes his hair back. The warm feeling is back with a single touch from Khun, his hands itching to reach out and hold onto Khun's waist.

A hand starts massaging on Bam's scalp, and the said boy half-mindedly lays his head on Khun's stomach. Khun flinches at the sudden action, following it with a giggle. Bam snuggles closer in Khun's shirt, closing his eyes and already feeling content despite the long day he had. He basks in the warmth of Khun Aguero Agnis, gaining the confidence to wrap his arms around his best friends' waist.

".. am… Bam.. hey, baby." Khun calls out, tipping Bam's chin up to face him. The brunet whines, slowly opening his eyes.

Bam takes his time in processing the pet name, his eyes widening with each millisecond passing by. Once he realizes what he's doing, he pulls away with a small shriek.

Khun laughs, "I finished tying your hair up! Look at you, so adorable." He compliments, tucking a stray hair behind Bam's ear.

"Now.." Khun takes out the facial mask, opening it with a smile. He leans closer, "stay put."

The request is more of a command, having Bam silently nod, squeezing his eyes close. Something cold touches his forehead and he shudders, trying to get used to the facial mask.

".. Bam." Khun suddenly calls out, still adjusting the mask. Bam hums, "what is it, Khun?"

Khun finally puts his hand down, and Bam feels the bed creak – indicating that Khun is sitting next to him. He continues to close his eyes, nervousness surging through his veins.

A pause,

And then..

"Do you.. like me?"

Well, Bam did not expect that.

Bam shoots his eyes open, relief quickly washing over him when he sees Khun slightly smiling. "I–"

"You wrote the letter, didn't you?" Khun continues to question, composed yet eagerly scooting closer to Bam.

The words are suddenly stuck in Bam's throat, unable to utter a single word. He gulps them down when Khun lays a hand on his side, leaning close once more.

But how is he supposed to take this seriously when Khun looks distracting with a facial mask on?

Bam giggles, moving away and holding onto Khun's shoulder. ".. How did you find out?" He whispers, heart pounding in his chest.

"You smell like melted chocolate, so does my letter." Khun whispers back, taking Bam's hand and interlacing their fingers. He continues, "I read all of it.. and I needed to confirm; do you like me?"

Does Bam even need to lie anymore, after everything that has happened today?

".. I do." Bam says – almost like a vow.

Oh? Somehow, Bam thinks that he should be worried; but this is rather an intriguing sight. Bam snickers, and he would have pulled Khun close and kissed him if not for the facial masks restricting them.

They stay quiet for a while, unsure of what to say.

Khun silently takes his facial mask off, glancing at Bam, who is still looking at him full of affection. Khun throws the facial mask away, walking to his study table and grabbing the letter. A very, very recognizable letter.

He reopens it with an innocent smile, and Bam gasps. "Wait— Don't read it in front of me!" He reaches out, trying to take the letter away from Khun.

"Why?" Khun questions between giggles, "don't move too much! The face mask might fall! I only wanted to read the letter to you!"

"I've read it one too many times last night to see if I had any mistakes!" Bam retorts with a big smile, both boys stumbling and falling on Khun's bed, with Bam laughing on top of Khun. "Give. It. To. Me!"

"I refuse!" Khun pushes Bam down, playfully pinning him on the bed as he reads: "to my dearest, Khun—" he stops when Bam holds onto his nape, pushing him down on his shoulder with a breathless giggle.

"Stop, stop stop!" Bam pleads, successfully taking the letter from Khun and throwing it to god knows where. He snakes an arm over the small of Khun's back, preventing him from escaping.

"Bam! Wait– I can't breathe– you're too cute!" Khun wheezes, his feet thrashing about.

"I won't let you go." Bam calmly says, pouting.

Khun calls out again, "Bam!"

Bam continues cuddling Khun close, still sulky about the letter.

"Bam, I love you too!" Khun finally blurts out, "let me go, baby– pfft–"

The confession leaves Bam flustered, having Khun successfully take himself away from Bam's grasp as he giggles, raking Bam's already-ruined hair.

Khun repeats, "I love you."

"I heard you." Bam replies, "when can I take my mask off so I can kiss you?"

"In 15 minutes."

"Alright." Bam replies, his cheeks all red.

"Alright," Khun chuckles, laying his weight on Bam again.

"... I love you too." Bam bashfully says, looking away from his Khun, who is smiling from ear-to-ear.

"I know. Happy Valentine's, Bam."

"Happy Valentine's, Khun.."

To my dearest, Khun

How have you been? I hope you're taking care of yourself.

This year, I have ultimately decided to give you a letter, and a confession.

I  want you to know that I am the happiest whenever you're around, you make me feel warm and all fuzzy inside that words are too lacking to describe.

Your beauty is out of this world, I have to say. And I'm the happiest knowing that I get to talk to you.

Ah, I must be rambling, but please let me continue to say: I love you

Seeing you alone is enough to have me on cloud nine with my heart racing more than a mile away, always so effortlessly beautiful and amazing.

You are enough, and I don't think I've shown you more of that yet. So let yourself fall into my arms, for I will keep you safe and loved.

Is this too cliché? God, I hope not. I just know that I love you too much to where my cheeks tingle each time I think of you, with your wondrous smile, with a laugh that makes me feel light on my feet, with your comforting words and warm touch that sends me to a place called home.

To you, from me, your secret admirer.
