Chapter Text
Bakugou was a very private person; that was a fact known throughout all of Class A. Everyone close to him knew little to no facts about his life, and everyone he considered an "extra" knew even less than that, which was relatively nothing besides the obvious facts you notice on a daily basis. Those facts being: Bakugou is loud, brash, hotheaded, and can be mean. But at times, people can see this weird and supposedly inspirational side of him. However, it's rare and usually goes unnoticed when his good words are coded within mean, hurtful ones that people don't bother to decipher.
Well, most people. The Bakusquad are a few people who made it their mission to understand their friend, Bakugou, to gain his trust and know more about his private life. After all, they are all best friends! That's why they know all of each other's routines (and yes, they know Bakugou's too!). That's just in case something would happen to one of them, and they need to track each other down. No need to freak out and try to remember what their routine is; they already know. Well, maybe apart from Bakugou, who scoffed at the idea, said it was stalkerish, and didn't want them to follow him around like little sheep.
They still did it. It's for the greater good! That's why, when Kaminari noticed a slight change in his routine, he, of course, did what any friend would do: he freaked out and alerted the rest of the Bakusquad (minus Bakugou, who might be a fake, who knows!). This is what led all of them to be sitting crowded in Mina's room, in a circle with notebooks and pens. The notebooks were, of course, for theories about what's going on with their friend and whether they need to take action, as well as what plan they should follow.
"Wait a minute, guys, this is fucking dumb," Shinsou, an honorary member of the Bakusquad who was one of the few who were wholeheartedly against the track-Bakugou-down plan, said. He, along with Jirou, and surprisingly Sero and Ochako, who were two of the people who liked the idea of knowing each other's schedules, were opposed to the plan. But maybe it was the fact they weren't suicidal and didn't have a death wish against themselves when Bakugou finds out about the plan. They knew Bakugou hated the schedule tracking in the first place, but he didn't complain too much as long as it didn't interfere with him. And now it was. They didn't want to be part of the problem when it blows up.
"But guyyyys! It's Bakugou! He's a stickler about following his routine. And this was a big, sudden change! Like a sudden call, then a few hours later sneaking off to text with a real soft smile, and then leaving? For hours? Yeah, right, we can't ignore this," Mina said with a whine as she threw her hands up in a childish fit to get her point across more. The ones that agreed with her, which consisted of Kirishima, Kaminari, and for some reason Todoroki (though he didn't care much for Bakugou's private life and only came to make the theories and plans), nodded.
"I don't know... I don't want to lose the little trust he has in us because of this. I'm sorry, guys, I'm out of this plan," Ochako said as she stood up from the ground and gave an apologetic smile before she exited the room. Mina sighed and grumbled something about betrayal before her eyes shot over to the remaining three who were still firm on not going on with the plan.
"Well?" the acid user asked with more bite than she intended, but she was irritated that Ochako walked out on her. And the fact that a part of her knew the others were going to follow in her footsteps made her even more irritated.
"Nope, fuck that. Fuck this plan—sorry, Mins. But I can't do this. Bakugou is a friend, and we don't betray friends in this household," Shinsou said before leaving behind Ochako. Mina felt a piece of her heart leave with him. She knew she shouldn't feel so upset at her friends for leaving out of a plan they didn't want to do, but what if Bakugou was hurt? What if that wasn't even their Bakugou and the school was in trouble? Then what? A heavy feeling settled deeply inside of Mina as she watched the remaining two friends leave, this time without a word. One just gave a sigh and a disappointed look, and the other just smiled sadly and left.
Fine then, Mina thought with a puff of hot breath leaving past her lips. She doesn't need them. She has her true and loyal friends by her side! She huffed out her chest as she turned to her other three friends with a wide smile that would almost be scary if they weren't used to seeing that side of Mina.
"Okay! Let's get Plan A: Real Bakugou - Alpha One into action! We start early tomorrow morning. And I mean early. The weekend starts today, and we have two whole days to figure out what the fuck is wrong with Bakugou!" Mina chirped out an order as she clapped her hands to signal the meeting was over. There were some groans (mainly from Kaminari) about the early part, but no complaints from either of the boys. Good, Mina thought. She knew that it was going to be a hard process, but in the end, they were in the right. They were just trying to protect their friend. She didn't understand what the others were saying when they tried to warn her about Bakugou losing trust in them.
It'll be fine, Mina knows it.

[2:58 AM] Bakusquad w/o Bakubro
[drippin' acid - 2:58] RISE N FUCKING SHINE, FUCKERS @everyone
[coffee is my crack - 2:58] Are you really going through with this? Like, are you not gonna think this through?
[drippin' acid - 2:58] Fuck off, Shin, I know what's best for my friend.
[drippin' acid - 2:58] You didn't even like him until after the Sports Festival, so don't give me that BS.
[coffee is my crack - 2:58] Yk what? Okay. When you and the others fuck up, me, Jirou, Ochako, and Sero will be here to clean up your mess and try to make Bakugo happy again.
[coffee is my crack - 2:59] Until then, you can just go dick off with whatever plan you have.
[coffee is my crack muted the chat - 2:59]
[drippin' acid - 2:59] Well then! Is anyone else up? @everyone??
[solid rock sunshines - 2:59] Sadly, I am.
[dollar store pikachu - 2:59] Me too, bro, me too.
[katy perry - 2:59] We only had three hours of sleep. What was the point?
[drippin' acid - 3:00] Because... the plan starts now! Meet me in the common room.
[drippin' acid - 3:00] Try not to get caught. ;P
[dollar store pikachu - 3:00] Aye aye, Captain!!!
Mina toothily grinned at her phone as she slipped it into her pink camouflage cargo pants. Her outfit felt appropriate for what they were going to be doing since she wore a cropped sleeveless black turtleneck sweater and black combat boots, as if she was fighting a battle—which Mina totally was! She was fighting one for her friend, if she thought about it. Her outfit was very much needed, thank you.
Mina didn't sleep at all that night. She was too worried to sleep (and frankly a bit too angry to sleep). Her mind kept playing too many scenarios: what if something happened to Bakugo, or if he was hiding something big and life-changing? Then what? Mina needed to know. That's why she made plans upon plans with her (loyal) friends, and even included Tooru in some of them, despite the girl not being an honorary member of the squad.
She needed Tooru for Alpha One; after all, Tooru is invisible and perfect for a stealth mission! That's also why she shot a text to her ten minutes earlier than the rest, telling her to wake up and be nude so she couldn't be seen, so she could sneak into Bakugo's room to snatch his phone so they could look through it. She knew that Bakugo had a password on it, which is where Kirishima (it was supposed to be Shinsou, seeing how he knows the code too, but he bailed! Mina is totally not salty about that) comes in. He's one of the more trusted friends of Bakugo and knows his PIN code and can allow them access to Bakugo's phone! It's a perfect plan.
"Heyyy! Ashi! I got your gift here." Right on time, Tooru came into sight. Well, more so a floating phone came into sight along with her three other friends who weren't far behind her.
"Tooru! Thank you so much! You're such a great friend, you don't even know it," Mina said as she hugged the invisible girl, only to remember she was naked and pulled away with an awkward cough and an apology. Tooru only laughed, and Mina thinks she gave a shrug; Mina didn't really know, but at least she had the phone now!
"Okay, Kiri, you do your thing please and thank you very much!" Mina shoved the phone into the redhead's hand, who quickly typed in a passcode that Mina saw and it was just random numbers! 071504. What does it even mean? Mina doesn’t know, but she assumed the password meant something to Bakugo for him to choose it—or else it being just random numbers would be easily forgettable.
"Alright! To his... texts first? Gallery? What do we do, Mina?" Kaminari asked, not expecting the plan to actually work. While it sounded great on paper, doing it for real was a whole other thing. And now that it was actually happening, a large part of him was freaking out and wanted to leave and never be part of the scheme they were planning. He thought it was jokes and games and that Bakugo would wake up and try to explode them and things would go back to normal. But no, Tooru was suddenly in plan Alpha, she stole his phone, and now they're technically breaking so many rules and even laws! Bakugo is going to kill them. He should've listened to Ochako, Shinsou, Sero, and Jirou.
"We'll do all of it eventually. Let's just get to the juicy stuff and go to his texts," Mina lazily waved her hand around with a passive smile as Kirishima nodded and went into his contacts, and instantly they all saw numbers they knew and a handful they didn't know.
"Well, there's his mom—or Old Hag. And there's his dad, and there's Auntie Inko... and Deku? Who the hell—okay! There's that spicy stuff we're looking for," Mina said as she grinned dangerously, and the others (including Tooru who was still there) took a step back from the acid user. Kaminari felt a sudden dark, nauseous feeling hit him. It was almost a warning, telling him to back out now, which he almost agreed to. His gut was screaming at him to leave, that he was treading into information that he shouldn't know—and neither should Mina. For once, he listened to his gut.
"M-Mina, let's just forget about this... I—" Mina glared holes through Kaminari. He wasn't about to back out when they all were now in deep together. They already stole his phone, looked through it, and are planning to look through his messages with "Deku." She refused to let him just leave. Her other friends betrayed her, but Kaminari would not.
"I-I—never mind... carry on," Kaminari muttered, with regret and guilt clear in his voice. He'll just have to play as little a part in the plan as he could. He doesn't want to be in trouble, but he knew it was too late. Mina smiled and searched through the texts between Deku and Bakugo.
"Ahem, I'll be Bakugo if someone will be my Deku?" Mina said as Tooru wildly waved her hand around while she jumped up and down, announcing loudly she'll play the part of Deku. Mina grinned and moved the phone over more, so she thinks that Tooru gets a good look.
Here’s the continuation of your text with grammar, punctuation, and capitalization corrected:

[11:20] Deku: Kacchan, are we still meeting this evening?
[11:20] Kacchan: Tsk, of course you fucking nerd.
[11:20] Deku: Mm, just making sure, Kacchan! You know we don't get to see each other often.
[11:21] Kacchan: Fuck—I know, Deku. I’m sorry.
[11:21] Kacchan: I’m at U.A. while you’re all the way at Arts Academy, which is nearly three hours away. I’m sorry we can't make more time for each other.
[11:21] Deku: Hey, hey, none of that.
[11:21] Deku: We talk every day, right? We FaceTime when we can? And talk nearly every day on the phone.
[11:21] Deku: We’re both trying to set a future, a stable future. You being a hero and me being an analyst so I can support you on the side!
[11:22] Deku: Remember Kacchan, Wonder Duo of the future? My big strong number one hero Ground Zero with his number one support Deku on the side!
[11:22] Kacchan: Tsk, you’re damn right, Deku! We'll both be at the top together!
[11:22] Deku: That’s my hero. <3

"I, um, I think—" Tooru stumbled through her words as she backed away from Mina with an unnoticed frantic look on her face. They probably shouldn't have read that—it was obviously a thing between boyfriend and lover. Tooru suddenly wanted out of the scheme. Despite how much she loved drama and gossip, she knew things were going to end badly if Bakugo was keeping his relationship a secret and they just somehow found out. Tooru did not want any part of how he would react.
"I'm gonna go," Tooru said after a few seconds. She could see that Mina didn't like that answer, but she fled from the scene before anything too bad could happen.
"Alright, since you all are so eager to leave, I’m just gonna... pop this number in my phone—and there. Someone do the dirty deed of hiding Bakugo's phone? Yeah?" Mina said with a smile that felt too innocent for the situation.
Kaminari quickly shook his head and threw up his hands. He was not going to risk getting killed by Bakugo. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Todoroki was quick to say no too, a smart move. That meant that Kirishima was either brave and stupid enough to listen to Mina and take back Bakugo's phone, or he’d make her do it since it was her plan after all.
"Uh—uhm. Let's just leave it? He’ll think he lost it and uh... yeah?" And Kaminari thought he was the dumb one. He knew for a fact that Bakugo would come to them as soon as he saw that his phone was messed with. He won't ignore the fact that his battery was suddenly drained and his apps suddenly opened.
"That's a great idea! I’ll go leave it on the kitchen counter and we’ll wait to do Phase Two, okay?" Mina said with a bright look in her eye that Kaminari didn’t like one bit. He didn’t know what Phase Two was, but he knew he wasn’t going to like it based on the fact she had saved Deku’s number. He could only watch her stroll off into the kitchen with a soft, quiet hum while he felt the bitter, dark, and tight feeling in his chest grow.
Mina, though, was partly happy that her plan was falling into place, even though there were some small hiccups such as her other friends currently ignoring her (especially Shinsou), and she knew Bakugo would get suspicious about why the squad was suddenly even more of a dysfunctional family than usual. But it’s fine, she has multiple answers for that if the time ever comes. She just has to make sure none of them snitch on the plan—and she has to watch Kaminari too, to make sure he doesn’t go out and tell Bakugo.
Mina was also happy that she somehow managed to get the number of Bakugo's possible secret lover. A part of her felt a little upset at the fact he hid it from his closest friends, but, she digressed. She had gotten the information and figured that his sudden change was because of a date he had gone on. But, she couldn’t confirm it without talking to this Deku person.
So, Mina being Mina, added the number to her contacts and sent a message to the person despite it being three in the morning.
3:21 AM
**Deku**
[ashido - 3:21] Hello!!
[ashido - 3:21] Uhh, I know it's early, but I couldn't resist talking to you. You're Bakugo's datemate, right??
[deku - 3:22] Yeah!! I'm his boyfriend. How did you know? Did he actually tell you about us?..
[ashido - 3:22] Yeah! Totally! I'm one of his closest friends, Ashido Mina, at your service!
[deku - 3:22] Oh, Pinky?! So you're Ashido! Nice to meet you :))
[ashido - 3:22] Likewise!
[deku - 3:22] Eh... I wish Kacchan would’ve told me he was gonna come out... not that I wasn't ready, but... if he trusts you all, I’m glad he told you :)
[deku - 3:22] But I gotta get back to some studying. I have an analytics exam tomorrow morning.
[deku - 3:22] It was nice talking to you, Ashido-chan!! :)
[ashido - 3:23] You too, Deku!!
Mina sighed. Well, the mission was over before it could truly begin, but at least there was nothing too bad—just a plain dating scandal. She was most definitely going to give Bakugo an earful about trust and not telling his friends about Deku when she saw him. But for now, she settled on telling the rest of the Bakusquad what she knew before rightfully going to bed.
—
The Bakusquad was off, that's what many of Class 1-A noticed early that morning when it came time for them to have breakfast. Shinsou had a disgusted look every time he even tried to look at a certain group of Bakusquad, that group being Mina, Kirishima, Todoroki, and Kaminari. Though for Kaminari, his look eased up and twisted into one of sympathy and understanding.
Ochako looked as if she was ready to cry, but at the same time ready to confront the group who had the nerve, according to Shinsou, to feel betrayed and upset.
Jirou and Sero weren't far behind the idea of confrontation. They both had varying levels of disgust and anger seething on their faces. Jirou, being more obvious, had her hands curled tightly into fists, while Sero held back his anger into more of a disappointed glare, his hand resting on Jirou's shoulder in an attempt to calm her down.
The only one who didn't seem angry was surprisingly Bakugo himself. He had his normal scowl on his face while exchanging looks between his friends who were having a silent war with each other. His scowl twisted into a mixture of confusion and annoyance at the tense silence that was unusual for his normally loud friends. He wanted to know what the heck was wrong and for them to fix it right now.
"Okay, what the heck is wrong with you extras?" Bakugo loudly asked as all heads snapped towards him, and they angrily started yelling over each other, accidentally hitting each other with wild arm gestures in the process, which only caused more tension.
Bakugo could feel his temper simmering and his palms itching to explode, just to make them shut up. But he knew he'd get into trouble for doing it, and more importantly, Deku would hate him for hurting his friends, and he's been through too much therapy to lose progress.
"Alright, shut up, you idiots! Someone, mind telling me what's wrong?" Bakugo said in an almost exasperated tone, staring down his friends with a deadpan expression, mainly focusing on Shinsou now.
"I'll gladly tell you what's wrong. You have a set of friends who are willing to play with your trust and breach your privacy. That's what's wrong," Shinsou said with a hiss, earning a few wary and confused looks from around the common room. But no one was more confused than Bakugo himself, and Bakugo, being Bakugo, turned his confusion into anger.
"What the heck do you mean by that? If no one starts talking, you're all gonna be blown up!" Bakugo growled, his palms starting to pop off explosions as a warning.
Mina shot a dirty look at Shinsou and cleared her throat, deciding it was her turn to talk. After all, she had a few bones to pick with Bakugo for keeping this secret and worrying his friends for nothing.
"Well, Bakugo, we found out about Deku! How could you keep him a secret? He's such a sweet person! We were worried that you got into some trouble when you were acting all weird, but it was you going on a date! That's the kind of thing you tell your best friends!" Mina said with a whine, faking a cry.
Bakugo faltered for a moment, then blinked as if he didn't hear things right. When no one corrected themselves, he looked at the other half of the Bakusquad, who looked angry and sadly agreed that they really did that.
Bakugo still didn't think he heard things right—because no, his friends did not only stalk him when he said he didn't want that. They used it to their advantage just to go through his stuff and spilled the fact he was dating and had Deku's number. He had to look over at the rest of the class, who looked lost, confused, shocked, and even some looked angry and disgusted on his behalf. Bakugo then believed he heard things right—he was going to murder these idiots.
"If I don't want to tell you anything about my life, I don't have to. That means if I don't want to tell you where I go, I don't have to. If I don't want to tell you who I date, I won't! Saying you're my best friend doesn't give you the sudden right to know everything I do! Why the heck would you look through my stuff?! Oh? Because you wanted to? Well, screw off, and while you're busy screwing off, Ashido, you can go delete Izuku's number right out of your phone because what right do you have to save my contacts without my permission?! Oh, yeah, none!" Bakugo's voice grew louder, and he shoved past the shocked group of friends who didn't understand why Bakugo was so mad—they did it for him. Though the other half of the friends muttered "I told you so" before they also shoved through to get to Bakugo, who stormed out of the room.
"Bakugo, wait!" Ochako called out to the currently exploding male. The group had to stay a distance from him due to the larger-than-usual explosions coming from his hands as the ashen blond muttered things under his breath.
"What?" Bakugo sneered as he turned towards the group of four who were panting ever so slightly when they came to a stop. Ochako gave a grateful smile that he listened to them, despite being mad. She was sure he was mad at the whole group and his trust with all of them was completely shattered. But she might be wrong if he was willing to talk with just them.
"We're mad at you, dude. We tried to stop them—and Kaminari too. He saw it was going too far when they stole your phone. He thought it was just going to be one of their normal 'annoy Bakugo' games, but it wasn't. So dude, don't be mad at him. Or do, since he went along with it, but he still tried," Sero said, as Bakugo's face softened ever so slightly at the news that Kaminari at least tried but was too far in to get out. But a part of him was still mad that Kaminari didn't just walk away. However, he tried to suppress that part of him since he knew blowing up would do him no good.
"Yeah, honestly, if you wanna be mad at anyone, be mad at Mina. She's the one who rounded us up, told us the plans and everything. She's the mastermind in this," Todoroki added, which made Bakugo falter more. Mina being the mastermind behind this scheme was something he didn't expect. The burning white anger was washed over with a boiling and ugly feeling that didn't feel like anger, but it felt close. It weighed heavily on his heart while his stomach twisted into knots—he felt sick.
"Bakugo, are you okay? You look pale," Ochako asked the ashen blond, who silently nodded as his stomach churned more, earning a slight jerk in motion and his hand slamming over his mouth. Bakugo rushed off, leaving his friends standing worriedly in the hallway.
"I'll go get him some tea. Shinsou, Sero, you follow him to the bathroom. Ochako, you come with me and help me get Sato to make some spicy curry for Bakugo, to hopefully cheer him up," Jirou gave out orders that went into action. The two boys sped off behind Bakugo, and both Ochako and Jirou walked the opposite way, heading back to the common room.
"Is... Bakugo gonna be okay?" Ochako asked, looking over at her friend, who could only shake her head with an unsure expression.
"I don't know, Ochako. I don't know."
—
Bakugo was absolutely livid, more than he'd ever been in his whole life. Bakugo thought he knew what anger felt like, especially since he felt a lot of it in his younger years before he got help for it, but no. He couldn't explain how his heart thumped against his chest, as if his own heart was throwing wild punches. He couldn't describe how his body broke out into cold sweats, how his blood boiled, and his stomach churned, leaving him running to the bathroom to vomit acid and painfully dry heave.
He couldn't even begin to explain the pure rage he felt toward his so-called best friends. More so, he couldn't even describe the betrayal and hurt he felt for them to go through his things.
"Hey man, it's okay. Screw them. We can go to your room and wait for the other two to come back. They're bringing tea and your favorite spicy curry, made by Sato himself, dude," Sero attempted to coax Bakugo out of the bathroom stall. He could tell Bakugo was done vomiting, but he could hear sounds that suspiciously sounded close to suppressed sniffles and cries.
"Fucking... fine," Bakugo gave in, his voice sounding almost too quiet to hear, but the two other boys caught it. They could hear the strain in his tone, along with the soft crack at the end, but they didn't say a word. Especially when they saw Bakugo walk out with bloodshot eyes and dried tear stains on his face.
"Let's go get you cleaned up, and we can go to your room," Shinsou said as they made their way to the sink, and Bakugo just grumbled under his breath as he splashed the cool water onto his pale skin. Once that process was done, the trio walked in tense silence all the way to Bakugo's room where Shinsou helped Bakugo (who loudly protested) get comfortable and wrapped up in an unneeded amount of sheets and blankets.
Not too long later, Jirou and Ochako came knocking at the door before they let themselves in. Ochako had a wide smile as she held out a smoking bowl of spicy curry, and on the side of her, Jirou simply grinned, taking the warm cup of chai tea. A rare small, kind smile graced Bakugo's lips as he took both cup and bowl from his friends. His eyes were gentle yet tired, with forming purple bags under them. His usual milky skin was paler than usual, and his face blotchy.
Overall, both Jirou and Ochako were surprised to see their friend in such a vulnerable state. They most definitely were going to commit a few murders later, but for now, they needed to make sure Bakugo was okay.
"How are you feeling, Bakugo?" Ochako asked as she joined in with the group cuddle that surrounded their ashen friend despite his weak protest. They knew he wanted it too. Bakugo just let out a bitter huff as he took a drawn-out sip from his tea. He was feeling many things—anger, betrayal, disgust, and even a hint of bitter sadness weighed deeply inside of him. But buried in between all of his negative emotions, he could feel a warm, happy pride for the ones trying to help him cheer up. He tried his best to focus on those emotions—despite not liking the weird, stripped-down vulnerable feeling it left him.
"I think I'm okay. For now. I'm definitely going to explode later, but for now—I'm okay, with you all here by my side," he answered honestly. His voice quivered throughout the time he talked, but his friends ignored it in favor of scooting closer together.
They sat in silence as the only sound in the room was Bakugo taking occasional sips from his tea or attempting to eat, but only for him to set the bowl aside for later. His stomach was still twisted in knots and kicked up any food that he tried to eat. The silence was great up until Bakugo's phone started to ring with the caller ID of Mina's, which both Shinsou and Jirou had matching sneers, already reaching over for the phone to give the pink-skinned girl a piece of their mind. But they were stopped by Bakugo with a single hand raise and him simply swiping left and powering off his phone.
He could deal with their bullshit later, and he refused to let his friends let their own anger blind them. He knows what that led to—he hurt someone he cared about, and he regretted it. He knew that they still care for Mina, and if they say something they can't take back, he doesn't want their friendship to be ruined because of his mess.
"It's okay. Remember, fuck them? Let's ignore them for now and do whatever," Bakugo murmured as the others slowly relaxed and gave a nod. Bakugo knew he had to deal with Mina, Kirishima, and Kaminari later. He also knew he didn't want to. He hated that he had to face someone who he told all his secrets to and spilled it to someone. And whether or not they thought it was small and irrelevant, it was personal to him. And he hated he was going to face someone who still didn't get the fact what they did was wrong, that they messed up, and they can't even say sorry. And he hates he's going to have to talk to someone who has a mountain of guilt piled on top of them already—he just hates this situation.
But for now, Bakugo settles for returning the cuddles to his current friends. He could deal with his problems later.
Chapter Text
Midoriya was a kind, smart, and trusting person. Perhaps too trusting, as Bakugo, Inko, and anyone who had met him would say. Midoriya was one of the most patient people around, even in the worst situations where most wouldn't blame you if you lost your temper. But even Midoriya had his limits—and currently, his limits were peaking high when he got a text at eleven in the morning from Ashido, his new friend whom he had spent a part of his morning texting before she sent him a vague message about his boyfriend.
A vague message that sent Midoriya's brain into overactive mode, wondering what she could mean. He didn't think something had happened to Bakugo—the ashen teen didn't text him about a bad thing. At least, not yet. Everything about the text was weird, almost code-like, and a part of Midoriya was enjoying the challenge of trying to figure out the message. But a bigger part of him was just as worried as he was confused.
Reading over the text again, Midoriya wondered if something had happened between the friends. Ashido did hint at the fact that he was ignoring them and made sure to point out the fact that he had cursed out people before suddenly disappearing and not responding to anything. That was the part that had Midoriya worried the most—the fact Ashido pointed out Bakugo disappeared. That could mean a lot of things; it could mean Bakugo was simply ignoring them (as Midoriya tried to take it), that he left without a trace, or that something bad had happened to him and now he was gone. Really, Midoriya wished Ashido was more specific in her message.
A part of him wanted to go to U.A., while a more logical side spoke to him, saying he was overreacting. That he needed to stay at A.A., to study, and the train ride would take up most of his time. But he, in fact, did not listen to that logical side. He was going to take a three-hour train ride to U.A. just to see if his boyfriend was okay. He didn't care about anything else; only Bakugo mattered to him.
---
Ashido was excited; she was going to meet Deku, who she later learned was named Izuku! He shot her a sloppy text that said he was coming to U.A. and gained permission from Aizawa and Principal Nezu to come to the dorms, which was great. She wanted to meet him, even if Bakugo was somewhat mad at her for trying to protect him.
He just doesn't understand, she thought he had hurt himself, or got caught in a mess. What if the League of Villains got to him? What if Toga stole his blood and became him and—now, she was most definitely thinking too far. If something like that really had happened, U.A. would've been on it. But still! It was for the best to see what was up with him. If he's mad, so be it. Bakugo's always mad; it's nothing new.
"Guys! Guys! Guess what?" Ashido gave a wide smile as she bounced over to her friends. Kirishima smiled right back at her while Todoroki blankly stared as Kaminari looked up from the ground with a mildly interested look.
"Deku is coming! He'll be here in a few hours, since he's kinda far away. Three hours, to be exact," Ashido informed, as one out of the three nodded with some form of enthusiasm. But Kaminari, his face twisted into a grimace as he shook his head. He knew Bakugo told her to delete Deku's number, but she completely ignored his wishes. She doesn't even understand why he was mad—taking it as a joke. Even Kirishima just thinks it's Bakugo being Bakugo! At least Todoroki has the decency to be upset at the things that Mina was doing.
"Ashido—no. You should've deleted his number when he asked!" Kaminari said as he threw up his arms in anger while his brows knitted together. Ashido just gave an innocent head tilt; she really didn't understand. Kaminari wanted to pull his hair out, groan, and just bash his skull against the wall all at once.
"We took this 'joke' too far. We need to apologize to Bakugo and give him time and space," Todoroki spoke up for the first time since the incident took place. And Kaminari agreed with him—they needed to make things right with their friend. But they couldn't do it if two of them genuinely thought they were in the right! Seriously, betraying your friend's trust isn't right.
"We don't need to do anything. It's just Bakubro. He's just gonna have his anger tantrum time and we'll be good in a few hours! Trust me, I know him best, right?" Kaminari swore he swore he could see a deep, muted, murderous red blur in his vision when those words were spat from Kirishima's mouth. Kaminari looked over at Todoroki, whose usual passive and unresponsive face was scrunched up into a glower. He wasn't the only one who felt disgusted with the words that Kirishima said—good. At least he had Todoroki to back him up.
"You know what, screw both of you. The fact that you don't even know what you said or did was wrong and continue to just ignore Bakugo's wishes is just so wrong. If he doesn't want to be friends with either of you two anymore, then don't bother me about it. Because starting now, I don't want anything to do with you two!" Kaminari stood his ground and left. He could hear more yellings of protest behind him, followed by the calm voice of Todoroki who soon caught up with him.
"Are we going to Bakugo's room?" the ice and fire user asked as Kaminari merely nodded. They needed to talk to him; at least they owed him an apology and tell him what Ashido is doing. He also needed to know what Kirishima had said—the one person who Bakugo seemed to trust the most (next to Shinsou and Ochako), had only seen Bakugo as a raging dog who had tantrums and fits, who was willing to hurt his friend and share his secrets because of a dumb plan that wasn't even sure to work.
And Kaminari knew it was his fault for alerting the rest. Really, he had no ill intentions—just a bit curious about what Bakugo was doing that he had a sudden switch up. He honestly thought they'd do what they normally do and ask him, but no, Mina suggested to do a plan with the whole squad. And even then, he never thought it would be so bad. A few theories here and there, not too bad. A few questions to themselves on what Bakugo was doing? Okay, that's fair. But this—this was a whole mess. And he didn't like it one bit.
"Bakugo—can I talk to you? It's cool if you don't wanna talk, but it's something you need to know." Kaminari dreadfully knocked onto Bakugo's door and waited for a few seconds. He hated the waiting game, but he didn't have to play it too long when he heard hushed whispers then shuffling before the door opened to show Ochako standing there with a smile that wasn't in any way kind.
"Come in—oh, and you too, Todoroki," Ochako said as she glanced to the side where the icy-hot teen stood. The two of them awkwardly strolled into the room where there was a protective barrier-like circle around Bakugo. Jirou and Shinsou both sat at his sides with their arms crossed, their glares matching in intensity and implying they wouldn't hesitate if he even said or breathed the wrong way. Sero was slightly angled to his left, right next to Shinsou, with his head cocked to the side as he forged innocence with a simple smile. But the glint in his eye was calculating, cold, and protective as he watched the two of them move closer into the room.
Ochako walked with a little bounce and hum as she took her seat next to Jirou and angled just like Sero. Her look was much kinder than the others, but there was a protective and ready-to-fight-if-she-had-to look in her eyes as she smiled, waiting to hear the two of them out. And of course, Bakugo himself looked exasperated as he looked over at his friends who were overprotective of him.
"Uh, well, for starters... Mina didn't delete your boyfriend's number like you asked. She took it as a joke and came to us saying Deku is coming to the dorms," Kaminari warily started off. He could see the mood shift from protection to spiking with anger and irritation real fast—and it wasn't directed at him, he could tell that much. Their looks were more intense, pressing for him to go on; it was almost scary.
"I told her that she should've deleted the number if Bakugo wanted it, but it was like the whole concept was too much for her brain to understand that you didn't want this whole thing! And then Kirishima went off to say it'll be fine because you're just having your normal little anger tantrums. That he knows you best, blah blah blah! They were talking so bad about you, and the only person with a sane head was Todoroki!" Kaminari ranted as he took in a breath to reel in his anger when he felt Todoroki's careful hand placed on his shoulder. He was going off track; he came in for a reason, and he needed to stay focused.
"I know we messed up, I know we just should've asked you if you were okay if we were genuinely worried. Hell, it isn't even our business what you do with your life—but this whole thing is going too far, and I hate it." Kaminari felt like something left him when he expressed himself towards the end. He could feel his shoulders sink while his body gave a small shudder, and his eyes stung with tears threatening to prick through.
Bakugo stared for a moment, and even a few moments after, he let what Kaminari said truly digest. He was angry, that was for sure, but at the moment, he knew he had to deal with a problem in front of him—and he knew exactly what he wanted to do.
Bakugo stood from his spot and ignored the looks and quiet calls from his other friends as he went to Kaminari and the dual-quirk user. He quietly gave a grunt before he pulled Kaminari into a hug. That took the orange-haired male by surprise, as he stiffened up in his arms for a few seconds before returning the hug with shaky arms. When they pulled away after a long, few seconds, Bakugo grinned and smacked him upside his head, earning a soft yelp from the boy.
"That's for joining those idiots. The hug was for apologizing," Kaminari pouted, but it was fair enough. He watched as Bakugo did the same process with Todoroki—though, instead of a hug, he gave a pat on the back before a little too happily slapping Todoroki, who gave a glare but digressed.
"Now... you were telling me, Ashido still has Izuku's number and invited him to the dorms?" Bakugo had turned serious once again, his voice rumbling with a low growl as his ruby-red eyes turned into a toxic red as he glowered with pure rage..
---
Midoriya was tired after his train ride. He had to switch between two trains halfway on his trip just to make it to Musutafu before taking the train to U.A., but it was all worth it. He finally was standing in front of the huge gate with awestruck eyes as a teacher who already looked tired with the world was waiting to escort him to the dorms.
"Midoriya?" the tired man asked, who he recognized quickly as Aizawa Shouta or Eraserhead. He gave a bright, wide smile that could rival the sun itself as he nodded his head.
"That's me, Mister Aizawa, sir. I'm here for Bakugo," Midoriya replied. Aizawa sighed as he started to walk off, signaling Midoriya to follow behind him. He quickly did as he was told, while taking in as much of U.A as he could. He had to suppress his inner hero-heart that still lived deep inside of him and just refused to die out. He could feel his hands just itching for his pen so he could write everything he saw and just ask about the pro heroes that he knows U.A has—but he had to ignore that need. Because right now, he's on a mission. To see if Bakugo is okay.
He's sure that Bakugo is okay, seeing as his homeroom teacher didn't look too worried when he asked to see him. But there are always those additional fears that won't go away unless he sees the ashen teen for himself.
That's why, when they stepped off the elevator and into the common room for the dorms and heard loud screams and yelling, he could confidently say that his small fears spiked times a hundred. He saw Aizawa run towards the scene with his capture weapon ready just in case. Midoriya shook off the shock of being greeted by shouts and followed Aizawa's trail, which led him to a fight—and was that his Bakugo?!
Midoriya blanched as he stared at the chaotic scene. Bakugo was being forced back by a multitude of people while a group of people were also being held back from jumping to Bakugo's defense. Those people being a purple-haired girl with earphone jacks, a purple-haired boy who almost looked like Aizawa, a brown soft plush-like faced girl, a dual-colored-haired boy, and a boy who had orange hair and a black lightning strike in his hair.
The other two who the group were ready to jump were just as angry. One more than the other—and that was a pink-skinned girl (and was that Ashido that Bakugo was friends with?) who was forced to stay back by a frog girl and a raven bird-headed teen. There was another one with his quirk activated, his skin hardened and in a defensive position.
"Can anyone tell me what's going on here?!" Aizawa yelled with his hair flaring up and his eyes turning a dark red. That caught the fighting teens' attention as they faltered with what they were doing and looked at their enraged teacher before all eyes landed on a certain green-haired, freckled teen.
Bakugo flickered his eyes away from Midoriya as he straightened up and glared at the duo, one just looked down and one just huffed.
"Well, sir, I wanted to talk to Ashido and Kirishima about the things they've done. As you could see, it didn't work out," Bakugo answered calmly, which left a moment of shock for Aizawa, but he sighed and rubbed his throbbing temples that were starting to ache from being around these problem children.
"Okay, Bakugo, tell me what happened and do it without exploding, please," Aizawa stressed as he crossed his arms, waiting for an explanation that could have caused, frankly, one of the more better friends to suddenly break up. He really hoped it wasn't for a petty reason—he didn't have his coffee this morning and still hadn't had due to having to do his nightly patrol and then go straight to work. To add to it, though, he had to let in apparently Bakugo's boyfriend to only walk in on a fight. He swears if it's petty, everyone is expelled.
"Well, sir, Ashido thought it would be a wonderful idea to steal my phone in the dead of the night because she saw my routine was slightly different. She stole my phone and went through my shit, and Kirishima was the one to unlock it and spill the things I tell him to in hopes to help!" Bakugo paused, feeling the itch of his palm and his temper waver. He will not explode again; he refused to let his anger consume him. He repeated that in his head until he felt his heart slow and the itch go away.
"And if it wasn't enough, she stole Deku's number out of my phone and outed me to my whole class because I didn't tell her I was dating. Then, the final straw was me telling her to delete the number because she stole it! And she took it as a joke and ignored my feelings! And so did Kirishima, saying I was just having my usual tantrums and it'll be okay soon!" Aizawa knew he wasn't holding in his disgust and horror well—but he wasn't even trying to. All of what Bakugo said was repulsive for how friends to act, and he knew there was more to the story. That fact made his blood boil.
And he could tell he wasn't the only one angry; he could see Midoriya's smile that was once happy and curious to see his boyfriend had wiped off his face and replaced with an appalled scowl. His fists were curled into a tight ball, until the knuckles were turning white. Aizawa placed a hand on the green-haired boy to make sure he doesn't jump into action—he doesn't need to stop a fight. Again.
"I just wanted to talk, and fuck yeah, I was mad, but I didn't do shit until she yelled at me about trusting and how I need to be a better friend! Me! And that's when I yelled at her back, saying we aren't friends. That she doesn't get to call me her best friend if she can't get the simple concept of respect and she screamed and hit me. That's how the fight started." Oh, Aizawa was going to expel a bitch. He was beyond seething after this point and knew he needed to check the security cameras to verify what had happened, but he could tell Bakugo was telling the truth.
"No, I hit you because you're dumb. You couldn't see why I did what I did and had the nerve to say I was being a bad friend and that I'm not your friend at all! I was worried and you come back and get mad at me?!" Ashido bared her teeth as she loudly snarled, as if she was ready to pounce. Midoriya, Ochako, Shinsou, Jirou, Todoroki, and Kaminari all tensed up before all going on the offense. Aizawa held tightly onto his capture weapon while canceling all quirks that activated.
"No fighting," Aizawa lowly growled as his eyes flashed a dangerous red. He really wasn't paid enough to deal with this; he demanded a raise afterward. But, he can demand his raise for later; now, he needs to drag nine teenagers (including Midoriya) to Principal Nezu's office for this situation to be dealt with properly.
"This is what's gonna happen, Bakugo, Ashido, Kirishima, Shinsou, Ochako, Jirou, Kaminari, Todoroki, and even you, Midoriya, are coming with me to Nezu. Everyone else is free to go," there were collective groans throughout the callout but rightfully shut up by the deadly piercing look of Aizawa, who turned away to lead them all out of the common room.
---
Midoriya has never been an angry person, nor has he truly been angry before. In fact, he can count the three times he's really been angry. And those times were when he was six, about to be seven, and he wanted to help Bakugo out of the river just under the bridge -- but instead of receiving a hand, he got an explosion to the face. He was angry, hurt, and sad, but luckily, it was the last and only time Bakugo attacked him.
Another time he was angry was when he was thirteen and met All Might for the first time -- back when he was just barely clinging onto the hope of being a hero, but of course, All Might shot him down without a second thought. He was already angry that day -- bullying was worse than usual (someone told him to kill himself to his face rather than just a dumb note or a spider lily), and even a person tore up his analysis book and tossed it out the window for the koi fish to feed on. All Might was just the icing on top of the cake!
And the last time he ever remembered being angry was trying to get into A.A, or Arts Academy. He passed the exams and passed the course he was trying to get into which was of course, Heroic and Support Analytics. But, once they found out he was quirkless, they nearly threw him out. It took a fight and more just for him to prove that a quirk doesn't define him and the fact they thought he had an intelligence or analysis quirk should speak for itself.
But this, right now, it compares to nothing to those times. He never wanted to hit a person so badly as he did those times -- he never despised a person for hurting Bakugo. Ashido doesn't even seem to care at the fact she's hurting him, she's just blinded by her own selfish needs and that makes him sick. The fact she outright lied to him makes him even sicker too. Midoriya should've talked to Bakugo when after she messaged him. Of course, there was no way she would have gotten permission to talk to him at three in the morning.
"Hello everyone! It seems like you've all gotten into a bit of trouble, yes? Let's try to work this out in a civil matter and do what needs to be done," Nezu started off with his usual smile while his beady black eyes stared throughout everyone as he made sure to get the point across. Absolutely no fighting in his office or there will be hell to pay, and everyone understood the undertones in his voice and the warning and dangerous glint beneath his cheerful eyes.
"I would like to hear sides from all of you in this room -- including you too, Midoriya, since you happen to be here thanks to Miss Ashido, yes?" A nod of confirmation led to Nezu landing his black eyes onto the acid user who had to suppress the urge to shiver under the eerily calm and watchful gaze of their principal.
"Miss Ashido, care to explain why or perhaps, maybe, how you know Mister Midoriya over here?" Nezu asked as he cupped his paws together and watched the pink-skinned girl slowly start to sweat and tense under pressure. She gave an awkward clear of her throat as she looked down, finding the ground suddenly more interesting than Nezu himself.
"From Bakugo, sir," she half-heartedly answered, earning a strangled and forced almost-growl from Bakugo who whipped his head at her. That was a complete lie, and she knew it. But, he couldn't say shit unless he wanted to get into more trouble than he already is in. He just had to take a deep breath and count back from a hundred and hope he would be okay -- and he knew he would be fine when he felt Midoriya's hand interlock with his own. He gave a grateful smile and squeezed his boyfriend's hand back as a thank you.
"Bakugo gave you Midoriya's number then? It's right to assume that, after all, you're a respectable young hero student yourself, Miss Ashido. I would hope you know not to take numbers by force or to just steal it from someone. That's a form of invasion of privacy and even a minor case of information theft, as you know." When Nezu quoted parts of the law, there was a visible flinch from Ashido.
She didn't think her actions were that bad. Sure, she had set up the plan when Bakugo was sure to be asleep and Tooru was able to steal his phone. Sure, she took a number out of his phone and talked to Midoriya without permission and technically didn't even give him knowledge about it. She just made sure he was clueless so he didn't rat her out -- that didn't work well for her at all in the end though.
"I.. yeah, yeah. Sure," Ashido mentally cursed as she lied through her teeth. She was scared, and said the first thing that came out of her mouth without thinking it through. She knew it was just going to make things worse for her, and by the slight head tilt of Nezu whose look turned more curious told her she dug a hole for herself.
"Interesting. Then can you explain why Mister Bakugo here was so upset then if you did things with explicit permission, since, after all, he wouldn't have a real reason to be mad, wouldn't he now?" Nezu asked with a cold smile as Ashido lazily shrugged, not having an answer to his question. Or, more so, she didn't want to answer the question and make a bigger fool out of herself than she already has.
"I see.. well then, I have nothing more to ask you, Ashido. I think I'll ask Bakugo next, then. Could you possibly fill in the blanks that Ashido left out?" Nezu's gaze fleeted over to Bakugo who nodded happily, more than ready to tell his side of the story.
"I never gave Ashido the number, she took it out of my phone -- she stole both my phone and contacts at some point of the night. When I woke up, I found my phone to be missing and found it on the kitchen counter when it wasn't there hours ago when I went to bed," Nezu gave a considerate hum. He'll need to check out the security feed from last night to see if there's any suspicious activity that was going on. That could help with punishing them too later on.
"I see, and just before Aizawa came to my office, what caused the fights?" The rodent asked as Bakugo's face soured for a moment before he took in a breath to reel in the temper that was attempting to leak.
"Ashido hitting caused me to finally snap completely and jump along with the others by my side," Now that, had surprised Nezu. He was sure it was just a loud argument that got out of hand but it seems like there's more to the story than that. It was interesting, a bit sad and childish when you narrow down the reasons to it, but interesting to see how humans can be blinded by the fact they are hurting the people they claim to care about with their own morals or reasonings.
"Ah, I see. That certainly does clear some things up. Thank you, Mister Bakugo. But now, I want to know how some of you managed to sneak into Bakugo's room and steal his phone. That's no easy feat," Nezu asked as his beady eyes landed on a guilty Kaminari, whose eyes had been stuck on the ground since they've been in the office.
"Tooru. Ashido asked Tooru," Kaminari blurted out, earning a glare from the pink-skinned girl, but he ignored it and kept telling the story. It was the only way to help clear part of his conscience and make amends with Bakugo.
"Three or so hours before, Ashido sat all of us in her room, minus Bakugo of course, and went through all of these plans that could work if something was wrong and started with what she dubbed as Alpha One - real Bakugo. It started at three am, and Tooru was just there with Bakugo's phone when we came to meet her," the words spilled from Kaminari's mouth and refused to stop. He didn't know if it was a good thing or a bad thing, but he knew that it was at least doing something by the look on Nezu's small face.
"And that's when Kirishima unlocked the phone, and she went to the contacts, and she and Tooru read the texts. Tooru left because she knew she shouldn't have seen them, and Ashido saved the number and Kirishima placed the phone on the table," the words didn't make sense, Kaminari was sure. He was a sputtering mess by the time he was done, but it didn't matter. Nezu's smile had quirked down a bit as he looked over at the others who were there for some sort of confirmation.
Jirou, Shinsou, and Ochako huffed in anger while they looked away. Ashido couldn't even meet Nezu's eyes along with Kirishima who visibly shrunk at being exposed. Todoroki even bowed his head, feeling horrible for what he did. That was more than enough proof for Nezu that they were all guilty in some way.
"Well then! It seems like we're making more progress than I expected. Before I check the feed, Mister Midoriya, care to add your side?" Nezu asked as Midoriya gave a slight head nod in agreement as he squeezed Bakugo's hand in his own reassurance.
"I got a late-night text around three from Ashido asking if I was Bakugo's datemate. It was weird seeing how I know Bakugo didn't come out yet, but she said he told them. Then later on this morning she sent a vague text saying that I should come by since Bakugo just suddenly disappeared after screaming at them," Midoriya explained, hearing a suspiciously low growl that sounded like Bakugo's who was staring holes into Ashido but also given a warning look from both Nezu and Aizawa.
"Well! I think that's more than enough information. I would just like to double-check everything with the security footage," Nezu said, opening up the computer to last night, at three am where he could see Ashido waiting in the dark until she saw the floating phone waltzing down the halls -- along with the small group. The feed showed how Kaminari's look suddenly changed when he saw that the plan truly wasn't a joke. How he was trying to back out of it and convince Ashido she shouldn't do it but failed to do so and drowned in guilt.
The feed carried on to show Ashido and Tooru reading the messages of Bakugo and Midoriya before Tooru backed out and left. That's when Ashido ended the plan and had Kirishima hide the phone when no one else wanted to do it.
"How strange, it seems like I need to call Miss Hagakure into my office later to also discuss what she did," Nezu said mostly to himself as he searched for the feed for this morning. He knew bits and pieces from Aizawa, but he needed to know the core of it. How it truly got so messy, how the fight broke a strong friendship. That's what Nezu wanted to know.
The footage flicked on screen, showing clearly Bakugo, along with Kaminari, Todoroki, Jirou, Shinsou, Ochako, and Sero. Bakugo made sure to point out loudly that he doesn't want to cause even more trouble (especially to the group in the back that were all too ready to move when Bakugo moved).
He made sure to let Kirishima and Ashido know he was pissed beyond belief with the things they did and said about him. He wanted to know what the hell they were thinking and why they thought it was acceptable to treat him like a dog. Like he's some sort of joke.
Kirishima just gave a meek shrug and told him that he has a temper and could get into those moods sometimes.
For a moment, the room was stilled, and Bakugo's faces flashed with something unrecognizable before he took in a few deep breaths to calm himself. The feed's mic managed to even pick up his softly muttering numbers as he tried to calm himself. Once he was sure he was calm, he looked directly at Kirishima and told him not to talk to him again unless they are forced to work together if he just thought of him so lowly.
Kirishima sunk into himself as his eyes turned glassy. Ashido placed a hand on Kirishima for comfort as she gave a smile before she whipped her head around to stare at Bakugo with an unstable amount of anger brewing inside of her.
She started to scream at Bakugo, saying that they only wanted to help him. And that if he trusted them more, that they wouldn't even be worried about him. She started to walk closer to him and jab her finger into his chest, spewing out how it's his fault that he created the mess by being so private. She just was being a good friend while he was being a huge asshole like always.
Bakugo's hands twitched as he shot an ugly look of distaste and even a flash of hatred passed in his eyes for a brief second. Bakugo carefully took Ashido's hand and moved it off his chest and took a few steps back and told her not to touch him. She just rolled her eyes and muttered bitter things under her breath.
Bakugo frowned but carried on saying that she isn't his friend. That she doesn't get to call herself his friend if she's too willing to steal his things and say shit behind his back. If she just takes him as an asshole joke, she doesn't dare call him her friend, because she's not.
There was a beat of a pause, Ashido gave a stall before her fist clinched tight and her teeth gritted together. Ashido yelled, and her fist flew directly into Bakugo's cheek -- earning a surprised, strangled grunt from him. She started to yell on how ungrateful he was and how much she hated him for not understanding. That's when other classmates started to run over to hold Bakugo and the others back from pouncing. Along with Ashido who was all too ready to fight.
Nezu watched with his smile falling with each scene. And by the time it ended with Midoriya and Aizawa walking in on the fight, he was frankly upset and mad himself.
He was proud of how Bakugo held himself throughout the whole talk just up until Ashido hit him -- and even then, he didn't blame him for being ready to hit back. She was pushing multiple buttons and acted in the heat of the moment, attacking Bakugo who calmly approached her. He even told his friends not to attack.
Nezu sighed as his paws rubbed his now-aching head. Clearly, Bakugo was just a victim in this mess, along with Jirou, Shinsou, Ochako, and Sero who just wanted to protect him. He'd even say Kaminari was a small victim who just thought it was a joke but didn't know how to get out of what he did. But he did the crime, and sadly, he too has to be punished.
"This is what's going to happen now. All who aren't Jirou, Shinsou, Uraraka, and possibly Todoroki and Kaminari owe Bakugo a written apology and turn it into Aizawa. If he doesn't think it's good, then you will rewrite it until he is satisfied and thinks it is genuine," Nezu started off, earning a soft groan from around the room, but nothing more when they knew worse was coming to them.
"And you all will have detention for fighting in the dorms. Ashido, you have four weeks for starting it, and the rest of you just a week. And young Ashido, for your detention, it will be extra special. I will have a teacher talk to you about the laws once again, because it seems you have forgotten them despite you only breaking them in minor cases. I want you to write a five-page essay by the end of your detention period and turn it into my office. After all, I'll be grading it," Ashido winced but accepted her punishment while her head was hung low. Nezu wickedly smiled and turned his head to Kirishima, who had to hold in the urge to flinch.
"Kirishima, you'll be placed on weekend house arrest and will be taking extra classes during your detention and the week after it. One of those classes being about law too, seeing how you were a main part in breaking into Bakugo's information. Understood?" a muted, weak nod was all Nezu got, but it was understandable. No one likes getting punished -- but sadly, your actions do have consequences.
Nezu's smile grew brighter as his little paws clapped together. "Great! I hope you all have a wonderful rest of the day. And do send Miss Hagakure my way, thank you," Nezu said in a light and airy tone as he sent everyone out of his office.
The walk to the dorm was quiet, tense, and awkward. No one knew what to say. Aizawa really wasn't paid enough to deal with teenage drama. He sighed as he dropped the problem children off at the dorm and left, of course, without a warning and taking Tooru with him.
Ashido walked over to Bakugo, who was making his way to the couch. She had a regretful frown on her face, and her eyes were glossy, with tears ready to fall at any moment.
"Bakugo, I'm so sorry... I didn't even think I was in the way wrong until I saw it on screen and I looked like a monster," she said with a sullen voice as Bakugo just raised a curious brow and looked over at his friends and boyfriend who just stared at her like she grew a second head. Bakugo thought he was hearing things with the apology, but he wasn't. He turned his head towards the sulking girl and gave a dry laugh.
"Yeah, you're sorry now? Okay then, I'll hear it on paper then. Get the fuck out of my face, Ashido. We aren't fucking friends. Don't treat me like your friend and the situation like you just took the soda, because you didn't," there were clear rolls of tears flowing down her face as she let out a soft whimper, but Bakugo didn't care. He just looked away and paid attention to his real friends.
"You did great, baby," Midoriya said as he placed a gentle kiss on Bakugo's left temple. Bakugo scoffed but smiled. He was happy despite the messy situation that he managed to get in. And even if he had to go to detention for a week for a fight he most definitely didn't start and tried to prevent, he was still happy.
He had his true friends and boyfriend by his side. Screw the others.
Notes:
