Summary
The two lines stare right back at him, red and unmistakable, like a figment of both his best and worst imagination. He can’t think of anything, nothing but the conversation in the cafe playing and replaying in his mind. Suguru’s words, his facial expressions, the way he looked uncomfortable and with a strained voice said that he doesn’t think he can see himself having children any time in the near future. His hand starts trembling so hard the pregnancy test makes a loud thud as it falls into the sink and without warning he hovers over the toilet, whatever he had for breakfast and lunch coming out as he vomits everything until he almost passes out.

Summary
The room is plunged in darkness and silence when he opens his eyes, nothing but his heavy breathing and the loud beating of his heart in his ears. He slowly touches his arm, hand shaking and hesitant as if scared it wouldn’t be there. Tonight has got to be the worst of them, images too real to be able to go back to sleep. He turns on the bedside lamp and leans his heavy body against the headboard, tired and sweaty and still breathing heavily like he’d just ran a marathon.
He can feel it in his bones, in every cell, in his very core. It’s happening. It’s happening soon.
He crosses his heart and hopes he doesn’t die.
