Summary
Rung intervenes just in time to prevent First Aid from killing Pharma, foiling Pharma's last-ditch attempt at freeing himself from his misery. Now, Pharma finds himself forced long beyond the point of no return, living through the very nightmare that he destroyed everything he cared about to escape from.
But even a single light of clarity in the darkness is enough to remind Pharma of this: that he refuses to give the universe the pleasure of watching him die.

Alternatively: A Pharma-centric fix-it fic in which the author is of the very strong opinion that Pharma is mentally ill ( and not just in the quirky "hee hoo mad doctor" way), and if he just survived + got medication/therapy, he would be equipped to actually address and recover from his trauma as well as confront his wrongdoings appropriately.
