Hello everyone,
The following short story is part of the backstory of one of my favourite Dungeons and Dragons characters - Lux Tenebris - a dark purple tiefling assassin with white hair and amber eyes who is trying to escape her past and start a new life under the guise of a new identity.
It is a snippet or memory of her childhood and a life she is trying to leave behind. It is not a pretty story by any means and if you are triggered by violence or murder and death, I urge you not to read it.
The Tribunal, or rather the Tribunal of Shadows, is an organisation that doesn't exist in official D&D and is something I made up in relation to my character. It's a bit like the crows from Antiva in the Dragon Age series. It's an organisation of assassins and mercenaries that operate in the shadows throughout the land. The members themselves are therefore also called Shadows once they reach a certain rank.

Die folgende Kurzgeschichte ist Teil der Backstory eines meiner liebsten Dungeons and Dragons Charakters - Lux Tenebris - einer dunkelvioletten Tiefling Assassine mit weißen Haare und bernsteinfarbenen Augen die versucht ihrer Vergangenheit zu entkommen und ein neues Leben unter dem Deckmantel einer neuen Identität zu beginnen.
Es ist ein Ausschnitt bzw. eine Erinnerung an ihre Kindheit und ein Leben, dass sie versucht hinter sich zu lassen. Es ist bei weitem keine schöne Geschichte und wenn ihr durch Gewalt oder Mord und Tod getriggert werdet, bitte ich euch, die Geschichte nicht zu lesen.
Das Tribunal oder eher das Tribunal der Schatten ist eine Organisation die es so im offiziellen D&D nicht gibt und ist etwas, das ich mir im Zusammenhang mit meinem Charakter ausgedacht habe. Es ist ein wenig an die Krähen aus Antiva aus Dragon Age angelehnt. Es ist eine Organisation aus Assassinen und Söldnern die im ganzen Land in den Schatten operieren. Die Mitglieder selbst werden daher ab einem bestimmten Rang auch Schatten genannt.

Marianna Travelyan wird zum unfreiwilligen Mittelpunkt von Ereignissen mit dem Potenzial ganz Thedas in seinen Grundfesten zu erschüttern - dabei war alles was sie wollte endlich frei zu sein von den Ketten ihrer Vergangenheit und für die da zu sein, die sie am meisten brauchte.
Dabei hätte alles so einfach sein können: Begleite deine Verwandten nach Haven, bring das Konklave irgendwie rum, überleg dir eine Ausrede um nicht zurück nach Ostwick zu müssen und mach dich auf die Suche nach Markus.
Aber der Erbauer spielt ein Spiel nach seinen Regeln und noch dazu ein ziemlich grausames.
