Narinder has been betrayed one too many times. A thousand years trapped in a hellish prison is not enough torment – the Lamb that stole his godhood is hailed as a true prophet, and the crown that once sat on his brow has shunned his divinity. Yet, all is not set in stone. He still wields his godly power, defeats divine foes, and bargains with the Mystic Seller (when they bother to show up from the ‘parallel’ they keep disappearing too).
With no crown to reclaim yet no mortality to pursue, Narinder must turn to the few who know of his divinity: his disciples lost to the Gateway and the Lamb that knows more than they lead on.

Wolfgang stood stoically as Toshiko, Ingrid, and Grace continued wrapping the colorful Christmas lights around him. The faint hum of the bulbs filled the air, barely noticeable beneath the lively chatter of the dining hall. He managed to keep his composure, though he felt slightly ridiculous, especially when Toshiko gleefully declared him the “Noble Christmas Tree.”
As Ingrid plugged the lights into the nearby outlet, Wolfgang felt a sudden jolt.
"Ow!" He hissed, his body tensing as the sharp sting of electricity coursed through him. The world around him seemed to blur, the sound of laughter and holiday cheer fading as his mind was yanked elsewhere—back to a moment he'd buried deep within himself.

It was frustrating, not being able to contribute to the conversations around her, isolated from these others, barely feeling like a person at the best of times, and more like a beast at others. The only time her body felt alive was when she would leap into battle, the bloodlust settling in like the skin she just realized she was missing. Most of them hadn't noticed the shift in her when she fought, or they didn't care, but there was one. One who was watching her even now.
