The Fentons loved Danny. They loved him, Danny knew they loved him. That love didn't protect him from their scalpels and dissection table.
Damian promises Danny that Bruce loves him. That Dick and Jason and Tim and Cass and Duke and all of the others in the Bat clan would adore him as one of their own. Damian seems to think that this love will keep Danny safe. But Danny knows better. He knows that as much as his brother loves him, even Damian cannot keep him from danger. While the bats are helping him recover, Danny waits for the other shoe to drop.

Sober-Dick stared down at the screen of his phone, blinking a couple times, hoping it was a mirage that would go away. That didn't happen, unfortunately. He’d… he’d gotten a sugar baby the night before? An alpha sugar baby? Who apparently looked hella fine. His photos were pretty indistinct, but he had curly red hair, and freckled, pale hands, and soft pretty lips. That’s pretty much all Dick could see of him in the way the photos had been formatted. Oddly enough, he never showed all of his face.
Dick had a decision to make. Either he could tell the alpha that those had been the stupid decisions of a drunk man, and that he couldn’t actually have a sugar baby, or else, he’d go along with this, hopefully get over Wally in the arms of a hot alpha, pay for expensive dates, give him fancy cars, and take out Bruce’s boat a time or two. As mortifying an idea as being a sugar daddy was… he actually didn’t hate the image it conjured up.
