Summary
Sherlock and Katrina established a friendship (and then some) whilst he was pronounced legally dead. That evolves into something more when he comes back to London, and their friendship with John Watson is tested. But there are much more important issues at hand: a wedding, Magnussen, and one big mistake for Sherlock and Katrina. Thus, the game of favours takes pause. Sherlock/OC. Slowburn to the point you wonder if they'll ever get together.
Part two of a trilogy. Year 2 Post-Reichenbach Fall. Plenty of changes to series 3. Rated M for discussion of mental health issues, alcoholism, drug use, and some sexual content.

“I didn’t know you cared about Lestrade’s marriage this much,” John said sarcastically before he took a sip of his tea (his decaf tea).
“I don’t. Though, I think we can set him up somewhere,” I muttered, and John’s eyebrows decided they didn’t like his eyes very much and raised dramatically. “What?”
“Five people are already living here!” he exclaimed. I couldn’t help but smile at his naivety. “And since when were you… kind?”
“I am aware. I converted 221c,” I explained, and without a verbal reply, John stood up, and headed towards the stairs. “And I’ve always been kind!” I called after him, “I serve justice for a living!”
“For your mental benefit,” Mary quipped.
As soon as John took one look at the room, he rang up Lestrade. I took this as a good sign, that I had done something well. Three days later, Lestrade moved into 221c and he seemed very pleased.
This seemed to be short-lived.

My friend and I started a Sims 4 house where we stuck the Sherlock cast in one household. I have too much time on my hands so I wrote about it (don't judge me). Now I'm making the grave mistake of showing people.

John refilled both their glasses, the slightest tremor in his hand betraying his anxiety, and Sherlock could scarcely breathe. Here they were, alone on a starlit terrace with roses on the table, and for the first time in his life, Sherlock was faced with a man he couldn’t deduce.
He hadn’t read the signs wrong, though. He couldn’t have.
“Will you solve a case for me?”

Disdainful of new money and determined to remain faithful to his work, Sherlock Holmes was not the sort of man to take on a case about a ghost. He also wasn’t the sort of man to impulsively share cocktails with his mysterious neighbour until five o’clock in the morning, yet here he was, barefoot on a terrace that wasn’t his and watching the sunrise with a man he’d only just met.
But could there be something sinister about John Watson, something less than benign about his obession with the green light on the dock? Could there be any stock in the rumour about the green-eyed ghost haunting his mansion?
And what did it say about Sherlock that he’d agreed immediately to move in with the man?
