Bakugo’s legs folded underneath him before he could even think, his knees hitting the floor with a soft thud.
Shame burned through him as he knelt there, unable to move, unable to disobey.
Todoroki sucked in a sharp breath. “What the fuck?” he whispered.
Bakugo couldn't speak.
“Why did you have to put yourself in danger like this?” Todoroki demanded, his voice rising with anger and fear. “This mission is too dangerous for a Sub. You could have gotten hurt."
Bakugo stared at him. He’d expected Todoroki to get angry, maybe to yell or storm out. But this fierce concern, it was so far from what Bakugo had imagined.
Todoroki shook his head. “And you shouldn’t have been able to obey my Directives like that,” he murmured.
“My suppressants haven’t been working right since the beginning of the mission,” Bakugo admitted quietly.
Todoroki was silent for a long time, his brow furrowed in thought. “Or maybe… it’s because you’re supposed to be my Sub after all.”

It was all mostly annoying, but, considering that that was the whole problem, Nanase simply had to deal with it and nothing more. It was… perfect timing, given the silence still present around him, give it some minutes and he would have been done. Easy, it sounded... like a decent enough plan.
Maybe that was why he spat the lump of saliva in his mouth on his left hand and closed his eyes, relaxing as much as he could while doing exactly that with enough determination to take in a sharp breath.
That was his first mistake.
