Theo had been living in a prison of other people's making for most of his life, The doctor's, what people thought of him because of what he'd done, what he'd broken for them. And now this, pretending to be human, so they wouldn't send him to the other part of the prison, the supernatural section.
It made him free in a way, useful.
Except a new prisoner just arrived, a prisoner who shouldn't be in there. A man too good for a dark place of lost hopes and shackles. A man who believed that Theo would betray him. After all, it wouldn't be the first time Theo had done so.
Theo had a choice to make. He could be the rat he'd always been, get by, survive...

Following the narrow defeat of the machine legion assault led by the late Ambessa Medarda, tensions between the city of progress and the Fissures has never been higher. Meanwhile, the ecological fallout of the Herald's War threatens Piltover and Zaun alike. In the Lanes, the fire of rebellion burns hot. How will the two halves of the nation of Piltover rebuild after the damage wrought by Ambessa and The Machine Herald?

Mostly a Raz and Sasha mentor story. Hurt/comfort for Raz emotionally, Sasha physically, Milla mentally. Oleander ego-lly I guess? It's hard to keep Oleander down. This one is going to be a long one and there's no update schedule so just be warned about that. Warnings and tags will be updated as we go.
