Book 4: Cycle is an alternative story to the Legend of Korra Book Four: Balance. At first it was meant to be an extra four-part finale to the original Book 4, but after some advice (and having way too much fun writing it) I decided to make it a full alternate Book 4.
This fanon isn't meant to be a 'fixing Legend of Korra' story (though hopefully not worse), but simply different, where it will expand upon some of the political tensions and themes hinted at in the show, while also giving a greater role and agency to some characters, and introducing new ones too. I've also tried to stick to the original storyline where possible since it's a fun challenge to work within that framework, but there will be some important differences and flow-on events that take place because of the changes.

Korra finally comes to Republic City among major unrest related to the Spirit Portals being open, the emergence of spirits and Spirit Vines. And Asami is an Equalist. And a new Airbender. But she doesn't know the last part. Yet.
