Summary
The objective of the series is to provide depth to the events of Fourth Wing. I am not trying to completely comply with the canon perspective, but simultaneously I am trying not to move so far away from the events of Fourth Wing and Iron Flame that the reader loses context. This is not "romance" writing although relationships between characters are obviously front and center of the plot.
The story covers a period of 4 weeks between the middle of September and middle of October 633AU. This period in fourth wing goes from the Gauntlet training to the Threshing aftermath but the story does not follow what is happening in Basgiath, it covers how riders in the border are becoming aware that something strange is happening in the other side of the border.
The narrative follows an older rider, Levis Bromlin who is trying to understand what is happening to the wards, but the PoV's are very diversified and include some of the real characters of the book.
