    weirdly enough I just happened to find this fic tonight after reading The Road 2 weeks ago. This captures the essence beautifully. the hopelessness combined with the drive to keep moving. And I love your Clint and Phil! And how you tie their backstories into their relationship with the road! Sad and dark, but so well-written!
