    I really like that you switched it up a bit here. With Croc activating the bomb and GQ saving him from there.

    And I just really, really, really hope for a kissing practice story!
    You know, them dealing with the whole "Well, so, you're kinda not all that completely human on the outside, and that's cool with me, I'm into it. But just like, maybe We should talk about how things even work for us and how we can make this work together?"
    I'd just really want to see a bit of an awkward (at first) but wholesome" let's acknowledge we're not an ordinary couple" fic for them.

    Also I'm totally in favor of a story of GQ breaking Croc out of prison and them having to run and hide and, I don't know, start a new life in Sardinia or something?

    But we don't really want them to spend their life with prison visits? I can't quite get over that scene of feeding Croc in the movie and I just want GQ to go rogue and save him. Romance before or after, I don't care that much. Just acknowledging his humanity would be enough reasons to get him out of there.

    Thanks for sharing this. I'm not usually one for the soul mate tropes, but this was subtle enough to work for me.
    And I really liked GQ changing his thoughts on Croc from "WTF killer monster guy?" to "He talks, he's a person, he's no thing" to even more.
    Probably my favorite bit of the story.

      ♥ ♥ ♥ I'm so glad! I'm so fascinated by the whole bomb scenario—which I can admit is partly because it's the longest time onscreen together that these guys have in canon XD but also I feel like it says so much about GQ, who does not otherwise have a lot of characterization to work with, that his job is to go down there and blow himself up and he was intending to do it WITHOUT the help of a guy who is literally on the Suicide Squad because he's considered so expendable. So I love messing around with having Croc realize that or having either of them dwell on it—or, as in this case, switching things around! :D

      And I just really, really, really hope for a kissing practice story!

      ... *takes notes* As you may have noticed, I'm weak for the idea that Croc only really has a vague/TV-based idea of how humans do relationship stuff, and also obviously I love writing kissing, so your odds of getting this sooner or later are very good. :D

      *whispers* Honestly this is probably where that eggbaby fic is going to end up once I've written more parts, because I do not think their eggbaby should have to live in prison! :C I just want to come up with a good, satisfying way to do it that means they aren't going to spend the rest of their lives on the run from ARGUS, because that's not a whole lot better. XD

      Seriously, though, I love plot bunnies and it's fantastic to hear what you would look forward to reading about these guys! There can never be too many ideas, and I'm clearly pretty terrible at finishing stuff I haven't been actively prompted to write by other people, considering the percentage of my works that are gifts. ;D So, yeah, please don't hold back or feel weird about talking about fic ideas you'd like to see! ♥

        i love the idea of croc Very Seriously watching romance movies so that gq doesn’t end up dissapointed in his weak romance skillz and gq being like croc wtf are you doing

        and i mean, for escaping, there’s always the mistakenly written off as KIA as an option ;) nothing like ur crush faking their death and you thinking it’s real until they’re like psst i’m alive run away to the florida swamps with me
