Whipped Back Stitch: 🧵Back Stitch Base: Start by creating a simple back stitch along the line where you want your stem. 🧵Whipping the Stitches: Once the back stitch base is complete, bring your needle up at the start of the line and, without piercing the fabric, thread it under each back stitch, spiraling around them. This gives the appearance of a twisted rope. 🧵Stem Stitch: • Starting the Stitch: Bring your needle up through the fabric at the starting point (A). Make a small stitch by bringing the needle down a short distance away (B) and then bring it up again midway between A and B and repeat the process as shown. The whipped back stitch is great when you need a smooth solid line, like for certain outlines or letters. Lay the foundation by doing a back stitch. I wouldn’t make the back stitches too long, anything much more than half a centimetre will probably be a bit too long...
