It took me only 15 minutes to sew everything together, and I thought I’d show you how I did that.Have you seen the fusible interfacing that has grid lines marked on it? I have it in several sizes of grids, and depending on what size scraps you have, I think you can get grids marked as small as 1”! For this project, I chose the…

It has a light grid pattern on it (in this case 2.5”) and you arrange your 2.5” fabric pieces in the grid and iron them to the fusible interfacing. Then, you sew 1/4” seam down all of the folds resulting in a perfect 2” patchwork piece.

I am using it here for a by Annie pattern “Cut It Out” where I am creating a small pouch for my fabric scissors. It’s the perfect companion for perfectly lined up patchwork! Super easy with a charm pack in hand…no fuss, no cutting, no math…just great results!

Do you cringe at the thought of sewing together 100 2 " squares? Yeah, me too. But here's an easy peasy way to do it. We're going to use Quilter's Grid . QG is an iron on fusible, with a convenient 1" grid printed right on it! First thing you want to do is tidy up your piece of QG. You don't want any extra hanging out because it is a fusible and will gunk up your iron. For demo purposes, I'm going to show you how to do this on a smaller piece of QG. Mine measures 6x6, and I'm using 2"…
