This movie concludes the story. The MC has suddenly switched his love interest from his long term friend to the gigantic chimera girl. The feel of the anime too has shifted to a Yamato style with more focus on the romance and it feels artificial and forced. A lot of the 'serious' scenes were also quite cringy. The 1st season was so good, that I felt a little disappointed.
The ending was not bad.

This was a tremendous conclusion to the series. Horror and hope were the low and high points of this movie. I was incredibly happy, and incredibly sad at points in this movie. There was a serious encapsulation of the events in previous seasons leading up to the final conflict.
If you haven't seen previous season, watch them, and then watch this. There's something incredibly satisfying about how this was done.

This is Epic! If you watched the previous series, you must watch this one as it completes the story, if you have not watched the series, watch them first! The graphic, voice acting, music and sound effect are all stunning! Plus, it is emotional on the romance portion and the ending was something I did not expect (I have not read the manga beforehand).
