Itsuki is a novelist and "modern day Pygmalion" who works day in and day out to create the ultimate younger sister. He's surrounded by various other characters: a beautiful genius writer who loves him, his big-sisterly classmate from college, a fellow male writer, a sadistic tax accountant, and his editor. They're all looked after by Itsuki's perfect younger step-brother, Chihiro, who has a serious secret.

This takes the perspective of a light-novel author (in this case it follows after a real series) who is a friend with various others in a similar occupation. They also tie in it's own story progression outside of the fact he's an other. I found it quite lighthearted and a joyful series. I've even re-watched it and found that I still enjoyed it. After re-watching I do sort of wish they had a continuation but the ending was fine too.

For me, this series has a rather crass and unlikable main character. It has tons of nudity from more than one character. Convenient censoring by hair and covering. It has many many lewd jokes and sometimes insane ones, including the opening minutes. The series also often has the characters drink a lot and have product placement in every episode (with transition cards).
As a comedy it goes between being a novel writer & research for it, drinking and table-top board (and RPG) game playing anime hazardously.
The ending leaves almost every thread open, and even though it has now been many years, it seems it was always intended to not be a season 2.

The first few mins trolled me..Did enjoy the comedy and ecchi elements to it. Did not know what t his was about, its about the industry perspective genre. Avg anime at best.

I watched it as a break to something much serious and it was perfect move. Don't get disappointed by the first 3 minutes, you have to deal with it. Characters were cute and likable. Still the best part is when they are playing board games. It's good watch, worth your time.

Didn't know what to expect with this, but enjoyed the characters, the light novel industry view and overall enjoyment of this series. One thing that took me by surprised is how perverted this is. Overall, this is a fun series with lots of comedy and perverted moments. Looking forward to a 2nd season.

I can't put this one into words... feels like a fresh approach to generic genre. Characters well-made, there's almost in every first half of episode interaction play between them while tabletop gaming and second half of episodes focusing more into individuals and their or their jobs problems. I felt very good vibe from this anime, it was also realistic.

Weird stuff here. I can't really decide it I like this or not.
Some part really managed to grab me while some were just generic. Probably the start isn't that exciting and there isn't really a lot of plot going on. It's like an interesting insider view of the LN industry and also a parody on the imouto genre.
Just that somehow the mix of the characters ain't too shabby and some of the jokes and scenes do really make me enjoy a good laughter. Also add in a bit of good fan service, it doesn't seem too bad a deal for a casual glance watching while doing other stuff.
All in, I think it served its purpose for entertaining me with some memorable laughs. For fans particularly in the creative industries of produce. 6/10 me and will probably continue watching the 2nd season.

Almost skipped because of worst start ever... but, the reward for watching... satisfied. Don't let the first few minutes make you drop it, it's really good show with rather unique characters and depth. Many scenes were so good, that made me smile silly. Enjoy.
