Earthshaker is a Japanese hard rock/heavy metal band that was formed in 1978 in Osaka and released its first album in 1983. After a successful run, the band broke up in 1994, but reunited five years later. Remarkably, the original quartet from the first album are still together as of 2017. The early incarnation of the band also included Niihara Minoru (of Loudness fame) as singer.
