- Shift Booking for 2025 will be opened on Thursday 23 January at 1 PM (Geneva local time):
2025 will be a very challenging year with ~21 weeks of pp data taking, 1 week of p-O/O-O at the end of June, and 4 weeks of Heavy Ion run starting in the middle of November.
The shift booking for 2025 includes 4 periods:
- 24 March to 27 June 2025: shifts open to any member of the collaboration, reservation via SAMS.
- 28 June to 7 July 2025: O-O shifts, reserved to collaborators that are identified as "Experts" in SAMS.
- 8 July to 7 November 2025: shifts open to any member of the collaboration, reservation via SAMS.
- 8 November to 8 December 2025: Heavy Ion shifts, reserved to collaborators that are identified as "Experts" in SAMS.
Expert shifts: If you have experience as central shifter and are willing to commit for this exciting data taking period, but you are not yet identified as Expert for your preferred shift role, do not hesitate to contact us!
All information related to shifts and operations are described in the ALICE Operation Website.
