What Is TPP?

The Transfer Prep Program is a free equity-based program serving transfer students from low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented backgrounds in our state who are interested in attending UC Santa Cruz, as well as other UC campuses. TPP provides a student with a caring community of support throughout their entire transfer journey from early readiness to smoothly transitioning to campus through individualized advising, peer mentorship, community connections, and access to special campus events.

Ready to Transfer? Your Next Steps

UC TAP is your one-stop shop for information and resources to help you successfully transfer from a CCC to a UC. We highly recommend that you sign up for this free online service offered by UC. Be sure to indicate your interest in UC Santa Cruz and check the “Transfer Preparation Program” box under “Support Programs!”

Research the UC transfer requirements and ASSIST (statewide articulation information). Take general education classes at your CCC, but don’t forget to prepare for your intended major. Majors at most UCs, including many UC Santa Cruz majors, require specific coursework and grades. Look up information for your major at the campuses you’re interested in.

Get a Transfer Admission Guarantee! Applications accepted September 1-30 of the year before your intended transfer.

Fill out your UC Application starting August 1 of the year before your intended transfer, and submit it between October 1 and December 2, 2024.
