Seriously why the fuck did they cancel Forever 🙄? Such a good show! Different as well to anything I've seen before anyway.
RIGHT!?!?!? I’m still furious about it!! It was such a great show! A really interesting premise with great characters, actors, and plots. AND SO MUCH WHUMP!! I wanted to learn so much more about Henry and his immortality and see how the story progressed after the finale. God it makes me so mad it was cancelled. So mad
1x01: shot in the chest and thrown overboard in flashback to 1814, impaled by a railing when train car is smashed and dies, poisons himself with aconite and dies, shot in the stomach then tackles a bad guy off a roof and dies
1x02: hanging off a ledge of a bridge, hit by a car and dies, taken hostage and held at knifepoint (knife to the throat), shouts at Detective Hanson to shoot him in order to hit the guy holding him
1x04: emotional whump at memories of proposing to Abigail
1x05: flashback 1890s: beaten and kicked into unconsciousness, awakens in pain in the hospital, bruises and limping and pain noises
1x06: stabbed, punctured lung, dying, can’t move, throat slit and dies
1x07: shot in the chest and dies in a flashback, shot in the arm in present day, painful, bloody, wears a sling for the rest of the episode.
1x08: tased and knocked out, pushed into a van, wakes up in the car disoriented and with a ball gag and is tasered again, chained to a cross, tortured, choked repeatedly, electrocuted, great rescue scene and scar reveal.
1x11: locked in a cab that drives into the river, violently drowns and dies, arrested for skinny dipping, forced to go to therapy, stalked and threatened by Adam, framed for murder, admits to the team about his stalker and everyone rallies around him, afraid and paranoid all the time, attacked in his home lab and is forced to kill a man who tries to kill him and Abe, in shock, protective teammates, Lucas drapes a blanket over him. Flashbacks see him in the mental asylum in 1815 where he is chained to a chair and the wall simultaneously and is waterboarded as treatment.
1x12: taking time off work for 3 weeks now and is afriad. Jo (and Lucas) worry about him. Stands in front of a moving car twice. Jo knocks him away the first time and he hits the ground hard. Grimace and scraps on his face.
1x13: Dies in a flashback to 1816 when he hangs himself in order to escape prison.
1x18: Flashback to his first death 1814 again.
1x22: shot in the stomach, bleeding out and dies. Flashback: stabbed in the stomach and dies I’m his wife’s arms.
You're making me want to rewatch Forever now! I think I got about half way through years ago now and stopped watching for some reason then left it too long to get back into it. I loved what I did see of it though and it's soooo whumpy too 😍!
You totally should!! I had such a fun time rewatching it and the second half has a lot of good stiff in it. I’m still so upset that it got cancelled after one season because it was sooo good. There’s such great whump in it too. I plan on making some gifs of the whumps once I get more of my whumptober completed cause there’s a lot of good stuff I haven’t found gifs of. And this research just reminded me of how much I absolutely adore Ioan Gruffudd 😍 Henry Morgan is the best.
