Tena Ko'sah Shrine
The Tena Ko'sah Shrine,[1] designated by the Trial name A Major Test of Strength,[1] is an Ancient Shrine in Breath of the Wild.
Entrance to the Shrine
The Tena Ko'sah Shrine is located among the Ancient Columns on the Tabantha Frontier. As Link enters the Ancient Shrine, he's greeted by its Monk, Tena Ko'sah.[2]
The Tena Ko'sah Shrine is like any other "Major Test of Strength", featuring a large rectangular chamber with many destructible pillars in rows. When Link enters this chamber, a Guardian Scout IV rises from below. The Guardian Scout must be defeated to complete the trial.
Once the Guardian Scout IV has been defeated, the portcullis at the back of the chamber will rise, allowing Link access to the Monk's Pedestal. When Link approaches Tena Ko'sah, the Monk grants him a Spirit Orb as a reward for overcoming the Trial.[3] Afterwards, Tena Ko'sah wishes him well and fades away.[4]
Behind the portcullis, there is a stone Treasure Chest containing a Knight's Halberd.

Your triumph over the test of strength subverts a prophecy of ruin. From the ashes of Hyrule, a hero rises. In the name of Goddess Hylia, I bestow upon you this Spirit Orb.

Nothing. Just as I thought. Hmm... It appears that this structure was designed to be exclusively accessed by the sword's chosen one. But designs can always be worked around, at least I hope. How do I get inside...? I need to activate it somehow.
