Location and Uses
Link's Awakening for Nintendo Switch
Ocarina of Time
Link can find a Gold Rupee by playing the "Song of Storms" atop the platform near the entrance to Goron City in Ocarina of Time. This creates a hole leading to a grotto which houses a Treasure Chest containing a Gold Rupee. Link can also kill the Skull Kid as an adult in order to retrieve a Gold Rupee.
When playing the Diving Game after obtaining the Silver Scale, on rare occasions, a Gold Rupee worth 500 Rupees can be collected during the Mini-Game.[9]
Majora's Mask
Link can find a Gold Rupee by killing the Takkuri in Termina Field in Majora's Mask. He can also earn a Gold Rupee by trading the Ocean Title Deed to the Business Scrub just outside of Sakon's Hideout, thus completing the "Business Scrub Scramble" Event.[11]
Skyward Sword
A Link Between Worlds
Tri Force Heroes
There is only one Gold Rupee that Link can find in Hytopia. He is awarded the Gold Rupee, valued at 300 Rupees,[6] by King Tuft after clearing all Levels and Drablands Challenges for every Area.[12]
Breath of the Wild
Tears of the Kingdom
Gold Rupees are worth 300 Rupees. They can be found in Treasure Chests located in the North Gerudo Ruins and Hyrule Castle's Sanctum.
