"From the Postmaster" is an Item in Spirit Tracks.[1] As its name suggests, it is a Letter from the Postmaster.

Location and Uses

"From the Postmaster" is the first Letter Link receives from the Postman in the game. He typically receives it as he passes the Postbox in Castle Town on his way to the Royal Engineer graduation ceremony at Hyrule Castle, though he can also receive it in Aboda Village if he fails the Royal Engineer exam and restarts the game in his hometown.

The Postman takes a moment to introduce himself before handing Link the Letter,[2] and mentions that it will be placed in his Collection Screen rather than read aloud, as Letters previously were in Phantom Hourglass.[3]

In the Letter, the Postmaster notifies Link of the new postal system and introduces the Postman. It reads,

Dear LinkAppears in-game as the player's chosen name.,
Our new postal system has
started running today. If
you're reading this letter,
it means my new postman
is doing his job right.

He's as hardworking and
efficient as they come! So
be nice to him, won't you?
We'll be in touch again if
anything new comes up.

  3. Speaking of names, you're LinkAppears in-game as the player's chosen name., right? I've got a letter for you, so I'll just jump right in and read it aloud. Oh, wait--that's the way we USED to do things. But no more! Apparently, some folks thought our reading their letters out loud was rude. So now our policy is to just hand-deliver the mail unopened. — Postman (Spirit Tracks)
