존 C. 로빈슨(John C. Robinson, 1959년 출생)은 미국의 생물학자, 환경 옹호자, 작가다.그는 아이오와 주립대학에서 생물학을 공부했고 전문 조류학자가 되기 위해 그의 남은 경력을 바쳤다.미국 농무부(1979-1988)와 미국 어류 야생동물 관리국(1988-)에서 일했으며 미국 조류협회 이사회에서 일했다.[1]그는 오듀본의 토요타 투게더그린 펠로우십을 받은 사람으로 디아블로[2] 산의 커먼 버드, 북미의 버드 레퍼런스 북 등 여러 조류학 참고서를 저술했다.[3]
아프리카계 미국인 환경운동가로서,[4] 그의 옹호 작업의 상당 부분은 그가 2008년 저서 'Birding for Everyone: 'Birding for Everybody'에서 [5][6][7][8]썼던 주제인 새 관찰을 통해 소수민족, 특히 소수민족 청소년과 젊은이들이 환경에 더 많이 관여하도록 만드는 데 초점을 맞추고 있다. 유색인종이 조류 관찰자가 되도록 격려한다.[9]
