astrapotherian 포유 동물의 초기 중신세(Colhuehuapian 나이)에서 Comahuetherium는 멸종된 유인원 속이다.으며 이곳은 지금 파타고니아 아르헨티나에 살았던 기저 astrapotheriid.그 holotype은 세로 반데라 형성 네우켄 주에서 발견되었다, 북부 Patagonia와 추가적인 표본은 그랑 Barranca 남쪽 레이크 Colhué Huapi에서, 추부트 주 중심 파타고니아에서 발견된다.그것은 처음으로 알레한드로 Kramarz와 마리아노 본드를 통해 2011년도와 형식 종은 Comahuetherium coccaorum로 선정되었다.[1]
