T-Scope: <strong>Thorlabs</strong><br />
Microscopes<br />
<strong>Thorlabs</strong>’ T-Scopes are microscopes designed to provide an<br />
optical system that is both easy to operate as well as modify.<br />
They can be adapted for a variety of applications including<br />
wide-field or laser scanning microscopy.<br />
Each T-Scope consists of a five position objective turret,<br />
infinity-corrected tube lens (ITL200), and parfocal camera<br />
port. The 5-objective turret is equipped with M26 x 36 TPI<br />
threading. For use with RMS-threaded objectives, five RMSA7<br />
adapters are also provided.<br />
The T-Scope is mounted on <strong>Thorlabs</strong>’ Post-Mountable Focus<br />
Block, which is available with either manual or motorized<br />
control. The fine control provided by the motorized version,<br />
TSCOPE-MOT, allows 10 times greater precision in z-axis<br />
positioning and improves resolution by a factor of 25 over its<br />
manual (TSCOPE) counterpart.<br />

The T-Scope is a<br />
modular unit that is an ideal<br />
starting point for custom systems. It is<br />
equipped with an SM1-threaded (1.035"-40) nonrotating<br />
port with an included C-mount adapter.<br />
This port allows direct mounting of cameras (as<br />
seen in the photo to the right) and detectors.<br />
Removing this SM1 port allows the user<br />
access to an SM2 thread (2.035"-40).<br />
Alternatively, when purchased separately,<br />
the Focus Block incorporated into the<br />
T-Scope (manual version shown at left)<br />
is designed to be the base unit upon which<br />
home-built microscopes and imaging systems<br />
may be constructed and configured from<br />
our standard optomechanics. A single<br />
dovetail adapter is located above<br />
the lens turret, enabling direct<br />
integration of SM1- and SM2-<br />
threaded components.<br />

The MP1214 T-Scope Stand consists of <strong>Thorlabs</strong>’ Ø1.5"<br />
Dynamically Damped Post with a specially designed<br />
12" x 14" breadboard. This 3/4" thick breadboard base is<br />
designed to provide increased stability for <strong>Thorlabs</strong>’ T-Scopes.<br />
Additionally, the base includes side grips and recessed feet<br />
for easy lifting and transportation of the stand. The included<br />
DP14 Dynamically Damped Post provides added stability by<br />
reducing vibrational effects on the final image.<br />
