Hatteras 50' Yacht Fisherman... This picture was taken at Port Everglades, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, as Pier 66 can be seen in the background, far right. Quite a contrast to the skyline today!
Thanks for bumping this old thread. Great pics/memories of boating in the 1960's - 1970's ...nice running bow shot of your classic 41. Here's a 1968 38DC ...not too many of these on the left coast.
I ran across a 1969 Hatteras price booklet and a 38' Double cabin list at 49k with gas engines and 64k with 8-53's
Hatteras Emblem Bought a old Hatteras Greenville N.C. emblem anybody know what year that it could be from? Thanks Nice Pics
Probably 35 years ago, we looked at a Hatteras double cabin that was about the same vintage as the pic of the 34 trunk cabin above. This boat was immaculate, owned by a sweet older couple, looked like the day it was built inside. Same cushions, same countertops etc. a real time capsule. What really sticks in my mind was the plug that the owner showed me. It was from when he installed a new fangled flasher type depth finder !!! That plug was over an inch of solid fiberglass.( at least in my memory... could have been " male " inches though... ) I was more in a sportfish mood than a double cabin and, though it was in my price range, I passed on the boat. It did leave me with the opinion that the Hatteras of that day were built likea tank.
Eric, I was hoping that you might have access or know someone that has photograph of the our Hatteras from 1970. We have the Twin Cabin, 41ft Motor Yacht. Our Hull ID: 41TC426 If you can steer me in the right direction that would be wonderful. Thank you oldsaltbob
