Attempt at a yoji shinkawa style black panther
I don't know what they were feeding Yoji Shinkawa (mechanical designer for Zone of the Enders)...
and Kenki Fujioka (mechanical designer for Advance of Zeta)...
... but whatever it was I need them to slip some to every other professional mecha designer in the world and also me. Mecha designs with massive hogs will always go insanely hard and you will not convince me otherwise.
This design trope also appears in other series with impressive frequency (but inconsistent magnitude) and I wish to god I knew why but whatever the reason I am thankful.

Tanker - Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (PlayStation 2)
Replayed MGS(1998) after nearly 10 years and damn it still hits hard!
I must say, it has aged quite well and manages to hold up in nearly all the departments. I even managed to get through the Ocelot-torture sequence on the very first try this time around(with a special trick I picked up some years ago while playing Peace Walker).
Returning to Shadow Moses after all these years, was surreal- but instead of remembering scenes from MGS1, my brain kept-on replaying scenes from MGS4, I half expected myself to be whussed back into the OctoCamo suit instead of the sneaking suit, slowly succumbing to FoxDie.
