DPxDC Zero Gravity

Things Justice League knows about Danny Phantom:

He's dead (why, how, and for how long is unclear)

He's generally on the 'good' side (but contingency plans have been set up in case of 'future evil self' resurfacing, by Danny's own suggestion)

He's a figure of authority among other dead/neverborn/otherworldly/eldritch/magical beings (however, it's unclear to what kind of authority he holds and why)

He's dating one of the Bats (unclear to who, but none of them confirmed nor denied the fact, which is a confirmation on its own)

He absolutely hates only three things: toast, circus, and Christmas (neither of them explained)

His powerset is so wide that he can't even fully recount it (unclear if it's because he doesn't remember all his abilities or if he can't keep track of the new ones popping up spontaneously)

He's hot [whoever added this, you're not wrong, but I'm watching you - O.]

He has a grudge against Flash (unclear to why, but Flash seems to know the reason and won't budge regardless)

Of course, there are many more things to know about Danny Phantom, but they are mostly suspicions, rumors, and speculations. Like how sometimes the boy seems distracted and bored as if he is only going through a pre-written script; a sign of repeatedly going through the same day a few times too many, as the other time-travellers say. Or like how sometimes he knows too much - the boy is an expert in Kryptonian biology, to Clark's great surprise, and is more knowledgeable about Olympus politics than Diana herself.

There are also little things that are hard to notice and even harder to ignore once you do. How he never talks about family but likes listening to others talk about it. How he pointedly stays away from the medbay and any kind of medical staff. How he stops every time he passes one of the giant windows on the main floor of the Watchtower, smiling dreamily at the sight of vast, open space beyond it.

And then, there's The Thing that no one addresses.

When Danny Phantom doesn't pay attention, he unknowingly nullifies gravity.

The first time it happened, Bruce thought the Watchtower's artificial gravity collapsed. However, he very quickly realized that it was a local occurrence - only a few rooms and a hallway were affected - and, right in the center of it, was Danny, reading a book he borrowed (stolen) from the Wayne manor library.

The boy himself never noticed it. Which made sense, given that he defied gravity all on his own, always floating in the air above the floor.

But the others never acknowledged it either, treating the sudden absence of gravity as a sign of one, Danny appearing somewhere around, and two, him being in a good, if a bit absent, mood.

All in all, it's not the strangest thing that happens at the Watchtower on a daily basis.

And, besides, it's kind of fun.

ā€œJā€™onn hates being around Batman because of his mindā€ Wrong. Jā€™onn craves the moments he has to spend in Batmanā€™s presence because Bruce Wayne is somehow the only person on the Watchtower, save maybe Victor, who can consistently keep his thoughts at an ā€œinsideā€ level.

The Crime Scene Cleaner

Dpxdc Prompt #19

You know how most hand sanitizers and cleaners say something along the lines of "kills 99.99% of all germs"? It's because they can't guarantee that every last little microbe will be killed.

Ectoplasm doesn't have that problem.

Ectoplasm kills every single living thing that comes in contact with it, the only exception is when they are actively dying with a high enough concentration of emotions. Normally that means it's just a very good weapon, but that also makes it a very good cleaner.

And for the JLD who work with highly reactive (both chemically and magically) materials that can and will destroy the world if not kept in check, getting that .01% is a must.

Enter: Danny Fenton

I just realised something

In Batman the Animated Series, there's an episode where Bruce is knocked out and asleep for over half the episode and this nerdy kid Sherman and his friend are looking after him so the Penguin can't find him. The whole time Batman's supposed to be asleep and the eyes on his mask never close, which made me realise like a dumbass, he could be asleep in his Batman suit - or just his cowl and no one would know. It would be hilarious to me if one of the batfam or maybe even Justice League members (most likely Clark) were in the cave, had a full conversation with a sleeping Bruce, and did not even know it, cause they're used to him being eerily silent. So Clark could be full-on venting to him about his love life or idk the struggle of Superman, and when he's done go with a sigh: "Thanks for Listening B."

Maybe a day or two later he'll mention the conversation at the watchtower and Bruce will have no idea what he's talking about.

Dp x dc AU - If the Internation Space Station orbits the Earth 16 times a day, then so does the Watchtower.

Dannyā€™s on track to move out of his parentā€™s house and move to Gotham for college (He swears that Sam bribed the board to let him in- and she wasnā€™t even going to that university!) but the dorms donā€™t open for another three days and he cannot wait to escape. Seeing his parents try to perfect yet another weapon to use against him while he changed out the ecto filters on the portal was too much. Heā€™s completely over the idea of staying when he already has everything packed and ready to go.

The solution? Take all his boxes into his haunt in the Ghost Zone, leave them there and then spend some time in camping in space. Heā€™s already explored the Infinite Realms enough to be bored of it for a minute (not to mention he wants to avoid getting more ā€˜favorsā€™ to do from Clockwork) and hell, he just wants to see some stars.

He grabs his tent, a sleeping bag and all the food and things he could need and brings it into the atmosphere with him. Keeping it all tethered to him, Danny stays in a fixed position above Gotham (Cause thatā€™s where heā€™s going next, duh) and treats himself to some quality Me-time.

Only problem is that several times a day he has to make himself intangible while he lets satellites and things pass through. Easy enough and honestly pretty interesting to observe as a wannabe engineering student.

He doesnā€™t know when exactly it happened the first time- but it turns out the Heroes of Earth all congregated in a satelite office building? It was bigger than the ISS! What the heck!?

Going intangible but not invisible, the JL spot Danny and are incredibly confused how an ā€˜Alienā€™ teen just happens to appear in their meeting rooms disappearing at the rate (slowly but surely) of the Watchtower moving through space. Was that camping gear? How was he roasting a marshmallow? Did propane camping stoves even work in space??

16 times a day they get the opportunity to ask Danny a few questions. He mostly ignores them or gives them joke answers. Eventually Martian Manhunter phases through the Watchtower to join him.

They talk about how hard transition periods in life can be and having strained relationships with family. Jā€™ohn returns to the watchtower on its next cycle and reports that the kid is just fine, being an adult is just a hard thing to do.

Clockwork's job is to overseer time and has to watch over the timelines continuously but there would be times where he gets to go out of his tower for a few days to take a break and this time, he wants to hang out with Danny.... In Gotham... To scold a certain speedster while Danny accompanies him.

Danny doesn't know why he has to go with Clockwork cuz he could tell that there's nothing he'll be doing but still decides to go with Clockwork cuz he got bribed with a "3 free straight answers" if Danny ever wants to ask him about something.

So now, Danny was just happily following Clockwork like a duckling with his mother.

Danny doesn't know how and why they're suddenly in space but he doesn't question it. Not even when he encounters a flashy colorful costumed people in front of him.

And this whole time, he was just Danny Fenton so he can't escape without exposing his powers if the people in front of him attacks so he only has Clockwork to rely on as he clutches Clockwork's cloak.
