I’ve been in trouble with the police before but never, ever was it because of the colour of my skin. I’ve never had to think about what to say or how to say it because of the colour of my skin. I’ve always badmouthed cops to their faces because I don’t know what it feels like to be in constant danger of assault or even murder therefore I’ve never felt the need to be overly respectful and nice towards pigs, ever. As a white woman, I am overly privileged and any white person disputing that claim, you’re sadly mistaken and I’m sorry that you’re so detached from reality you can’t see shit for what it is. As a white woman I REFUSE to turn a blind eye in the face of systematic racism. It’s true, it’s real. Just because it’s not as prevalent in my country that doesn’t mean it’s not the fucking norm elsewhere.

I’ll never stop educating myself and calling out my own problematic actions. This is the time we, as allies need to take a seat, and listen. Protect our black friends and loved ones but most importantly, l i s t e n. Not the time to argue about wether all lives matter or not, this is not the fucking time. Step up, pull up.

This is probably the best video I’ve ever seen that touches up on abuse and drug addiction, but also shines a light on people who do manage to ask for / get help and eventually recover!
