Description: Y/N helps Gabriel deal with what Asmodeus did to him. While doing this, she discovers why she can see his wings.
"Gabe..baby..please wake up!"
You were trying your best to shake Gabriel awake from the nightmare he was having. They have been happening since he was tortured by Asmodeus, and it killed you that you didn't know about it. The moment when he stepped foot into the bunker, a beaten and broken shell of the angel he used to be ultimately broke you. He would flinch whenever somebody walked too quickly beside him or too close to him. You thought he had broken through when he healed himself and killed Asmodeus, but it was just a facade. He was a broken shell of the angel you loved, and it broke your heart every day, and you wished he would come back to you. You would hear him crying to himself when you walked past closed doors and having nightmares some nights, and now, things were getting worse. The nightmares were becoming a nightly appearance, and it was getting harder to try and console him. But you were determined to stand by him, your love for him growing stronger with each passing day.
"Please, baby, wake up." You climbed on top of him and shook his shoulders as hard as you could and breathed a sigh of relief when his eyes fluttered open, wide and afraid. "Y/N, I'm so sorry. Did I wake you again?" You shook your head and moved off him, sitting up. "Never mind that, are you alright? That was the worst one yet! What happened?" Gabriel sat up and rested his elbows on his knees, cradling his head in his hands. "ItâŚit was just so real as if I was still there. Everything he did to me, I could feel it over and over again, and I couldn't escape the pain. I just need it to stop; it's breaking me from the inside."
As Gabriel confessed, tears welled up in your eyes. You longed to alleviate his pain, to erase the memories of his torture. But all you could do was love him, and that's what you did. You reached out and enveloped him in your arms, a gesture of your unwavering love and support.
"I love you, Gabriel, and I always will. I will support you through this and do whatever it takes." A flutter of wings was heard, and a new warmth enveloped your body. Pulling away, you carefully caressed a few feathers around your shoulder, causing Gabriel to shake them slightly. You looked his way and gave a questioning look, and he stared at you with wide eyes. "YouâŚyou can see them?" "Yes, I always have. I thought everyone could."
He took your hands and gave each one a peck as tears rolled from his eyes. "No, princess, only one person can see an angel's wings, and that's their soulmate. I always had an inkling that you were mine, but I could never confirm it, and I didn't want to ask in case you didn't." You rested your head against his and pecked his lips. "I always knew you were special, Gabe. My mission is to help and support you through this pain and make you happy again, my angel." He pulled you against him and lay down, gathering you in his arms. "What did I ever do to deserve someone as special as you?" Kissing the top of your head, he fell asleep again, this time in a peaceful slumber and for the first time in a while, you fell asleep happy, knowing that you both might just make it through this, with the hope that the revelation of your soulmate connection brings.

â...but I can help you.â
âI donât care. Leave me alone!â
(Y/n) turns back to the old manor, drawing out her machete and disappearing behind the wooden door. The archangel she just screamed at stands next to her car dumbfounded. Never in the many years he lived on earth, he let someone speak to him like that.
But (Y/n) is different. He just met her, but he immediately, knew she is special - not because of her alternative style but of her kind heart. Deep down she is soft and sweet, but she seems to hide it from everyone. But Gabriel is an archangel which means he knows everything.
Inside the manor a horde of vampires already await the female hunter, their teeth ready to break her skin. (Y/n) walks inside a room and gets greeted by seven vampires.
âHello there, little bitchâ, one vampire says and takes a step towards (Y/n). She points her machete at him and frowns at him. âYou have no chance against us!â
âI like those oddsâ, (Y/n) smiles and raises her machete, letting it swish through the air and behead the vampire easily. The others run to her right away, showing their disgusting teeth.
The huntress ducks under their arms and starts to move her machete through the air. Again and again she meets a body and after three minutes all the vampires are laying dead on the floor.
Since leaving her hometown (Y/n) learned self-defences because people were and still are mean to her. Itâs always You have too many tattoos and piercings! or Why do you dress like that? Itâs been a long while since someone said anything nice to her.
Until she met Gabriel who offered her his help. But (Y/n) couldnât accept that. She was alone for so long, she will manage this hunt and the following without any help. No one is worth of her trust because all men are the same - horrible and shallow.
âLooks like you didnât need my help at allâ, Gabriel states and leans against the door frame with his arms crossed. His golden eyes lay on her frame which is covered in blood.
âDidnât I tell you to piss off?â, (Y/n) asks annoyed and rolls her eyes.
Slowly, she walks over the bodies and to another room. There must be more vampires. There are more vampires. In the next room three more await her.
(Y/n) runs to the vampires with a raised machete and starts a fight. The archangel stays in the door frame and watches her because he is pretty sure she can handle the few monsters. And he is right, after a few more minutes the three vampires lay beheaded on the floor.
âWe should go for a drink laterâ, Gabriel says impressed and walks towards the female hunter.
The next moment a vampire jumps through the window and at (Y/n). Together they fall on the floor and even though (Y/n) drove her machete inside his stomach, the monster manages to sink his teeth in her neck.
Gabriel moves quickly and grabs the vampire by his hair, pressing his hand to his forehead and making the monsters eyes glow until he falls dead to the floor. Then the archangel turns to a shaking and groaning (Y/n).
âItâs okay. I will help youâ, Gabriel tells the female hunter and takes her bloody hand from her neck, placing his right on her injury. A slight glow lets (Y/n)s eyes glisten and then the pain is gone. She takes a deep breath and sits up with Gabriels help.
âHow? What? Why? Who are you?â, (Y/n) stammers confused and stares right into Gabriels beautiful brown eyes. The archangel lowers his gaze and smiles innocently.
âIâm the archangel Gabrielâ, he whispers and only looks up when he hears (Y/n) giggle. She grabs one of his hands and squeezes it gently.
âNice to finally meet you in person. I read a lot about you, Gabeâ, (Y/n) returns with a kind smile and stands up, still holding the archangels hand. She doesnât know why, maybe because he just saved her from death, but she trusts Gabriel. After all those terrible people she met, she finally can trust somebody.
âThank youâ, (Y/n) whispers and lets go of the archangels hand.
âWhat about the drink you were offering me?â
And thatâs how they ended in this dark alleyway in front of a now closed bar. While Gabriel is still fully sober, (Y/n) almost stumbles over her own feet. One day ago she would have never let her guard down so much, but she knew that Gabriel would save her once again in case of danger.
âI donât even know why I trust you all of a sudden. Five hours ago I wanted to slit your throat because you offered me your help. Maybe itâs because you are an angel - archangel! You must be good, right? With your fluffy wings and golden harpsâ, (Y/n) babbles and throws an arm around Gabriels shoulders, leaning fully against him. Together they walk through the little city and head to (Y/n)s motel room.
âActually we donât have-â
âI hate people. I hate people! I never trusted one soul. You wanna know why? Because humans are...disgusting. They judge and insult and are so shallow. I hate people!â, (Y/n) continues.
âI could never insult a beauty like youâ, Gabriel says and stops because he fears (Y/n) will stumble and hurt herself. Now they are standing close and look in each others eyes.
âYou think Iâm beautiful?â, (Y/n) asks perplex and her lower lip starts to wobble. Happy tears fill her eyes and the next thing she feels are Gabriels soft lips on her own.

âI fucking hate men, theyâre all the same. Stupid. Self-centered. Do you have an âsâ word for cheaters?â
Sleazy comes to mind but Gabriel dares not to say anything. Y/N had just come through the doors to the bunker. He knew that when she walked in like this there was no way in heaven or hell that he was through to her.
Gabriel had seen this way too many times than he cared to admit. The tears flowing down her cheeks, the puffiness under her eyes, the way she closed in on herself but she soon replaced her demeanor with a more annoyed one and she rambled on about how all guys were assholes and how they would never be right for her no matter how charming and nice they had been at the beginning. That was always the story.Â
Y/N never really had any luck with guys and when she did it never really lasted that long anyway. She thought it was her protective brothers, then she blamed it on being a hunter or a lack of a real home. Both were reasonable explanations but it still hurt that she hadnât been able to keep a man for more than three months before they decided to call it quits. She would power through it, she always did but it still hurt her nonetheless.
Y/N had devoured a pint of her emergency ice cream and still didnât feel any better. All the romance movies she watched made her cry even more so she resorted to poking fun at them and almost throwing a machete at the TV to make it stop.
Gabriel was there to save the day. Well, night, but semantics. He knew to leave her in her room for at least an hour to calm down before even thinking about interrupting her post break up meltdown. All Gabriel had to do was snap his fingers and happiness would be in his hand. Or Pizza as Y/N would call it.
Three taps at the door with the gold plated number eight. He had to be careful where he knocked or the drawings would slip down or the paint would peel off.
After a few seconds, he heard a sniffle before the door opened. Y/N did her best to hide behind a facade, a fake smile plastered on but it fell as soon as Gabriel raised an eyebrow at her. He knew what had happened the moment she slammed the bunker door closed. There was no use in pretending with him.
âHe slept with a skank at the bar.â You wiped away another set of tears. âWhy does it always end like this? I get hurt all the fucking time!â
Gabriel gave her a sad smile before he presented the pizza. âI may be an archangel and I canât fix broken hearts or make assholes less ass-holey but the thing I can do is be here for you and help you heal. Nothing more I can do unless you want me to get rid of Travis. Because I can do that.â
With his expression, Y/N knew that in an instant - if she gave the command - Gabriel would snap his fingers and Travisâ head would explode, or be on a platter. Whatever he felt suitable, he would do it in a heartbeat, Y/N dreaded that Gabe would even go to the extreme lengths of Travisâ dick.
âDonât go wasting your angel juice on that piece of trash. Can you just join me and we can eat this pizza? You can even choose the movie, Iâm sick of these romance movies, no matter how much I love Ryan Reynolds.â

Gabriel had noticed a change in Y/N behaviour, she seemed a lot more happier lately and it made his heart all fuzzy. It was so weird. But he knew that it was because he was completely and utterly in love with her. Anything she did, he fawned over her.
Gabriel loved the smile on Y/Nâs face when he bought her a bunch of tulips and a box of chocolates but he knew that she really got a kick from going to the demolition place. Y/N swung the sledgehammer like a champ, destroying the entirety of the room. The old vases didnât stand a chance.
âThank you for being a good friend. Thank you for being here for me.â Y/N said later that day, curled up against Gabriel, completely content in the archangelâs embrace, his presence comforting. Gabriel rolled his eyes before running a hand through his locks, tugging on them slightly to hide his frustration.
âSure, as long as youâre not with assholes that treat you like shit.â Gabriel tugs Y/N a little bit tighter against him and he canât help the fact that heâs glowing when sheâs near.
*
âI think I love you.â Y/N bit her lips, her eyes darting between Gabrielâs golden eyes and his pink, plump lips.
âWell, itâs a good job because I love you too, honey buns.â Gabriel grabbed her by the hips and pulled her against him, Gabrielâs hand wandered her body, stopping just under her ass. Their lips locked and Y/N lept into Gabeâs arm.
âY/N...Y/N...Y/N.â
âY/N wake up.â
âHuh, what?â Y/N punched the air as Sam woke her from her dream. Her dream! She was falling for Gabe. âSorry. Okay. Out of my room. I need a shower and Iâm pretty sure you donât want to see me naked.â
âTwo things: one, gross. Two, I was going to ask what you wanted for breakfast but Iâm just gonna buy a breakfast burrito and toss it on your bed. Goodbye.â Y/N rolled her eyes, spinning Sam around and pushing him out before she slammed the door behind him.
Y/N didnât know whether to laugh, cry, or let herself feel the fluttering in her stomach. The sudden realisation made her stomach do more flips than a gymnast hoping for a gold medal. She was in love with Gabriel. In love with her best friend. In love with the friend that stood by her when she was stood up, made her laugh even when she was crying. He even endured her movie marathons - no matter how cringy they were - Gabriel was always there. Gabriel was the man - archangel - for her.
Warning: mostly fluff, little angst for like a moment or two, mentions of past torture, but everything is okay in the end

A/N, Summary: This could be read as a continuation of âWhen Iâm Goneâ or as a stand alone. After I wrote âWhen Iâm Goneâ, this song kept playing in my head as something I could see for what came next. Gabriel was always a character that made me happy and I thought, what if there was someone who could make Gabriel smile and take his blues away? In comes this story. I hope you all like it.
*
*Could be read as a stand-alone, or a continuation of âWhen I'm Goneâ*
They finally did it. Loki was gone, Mary and Jack were back from the alternate universe; sadly, Lucifer was left behind, possibly dead, but that didn't matter right now. All that mattered was the refugees were finally safe, and their family was together again. Castiel was helping Jack get used to being back in their world and with Lucifer being gone while Sam and Dean took care of Mary and the refugees. That left Rowena, who left to go do her own thing and no one stopped her, and Gabriel and (Y/N). He was left in her care.
There were days where he found himself trapped in a memory from his time with Asmodeus and as his grace was recharging, he wasn't a threat that way, but he was still strong. And (Y/N) learned not to touch him when he was in one of those moments after he nearly broke her nose when he flailed his arm around when she touch his shoulder. He felt so guilty about that, but she brushed it off. It got him out of his head at least.
âI'm so sorry, (Y/N). I-I didn't mean to...â he fidgeted, trying to find a way to fix his mistake.
âGabe, Gabriel!â she called, getting his attention. Her nose was a little red but fine otherwise. âI'm fine. It's okay. It was my fault for not thinking. It's okay, seriously,â she grabbed his hands gently, letting him pull away if he wanted to.
He stared at their intertwined hands and slowly looked up into her eyes. Nothing but love and understanding stared back at him and he breathed a sigh of relief. He let himself sag into her arms, head resting over her shoulder. They stayed that way for who knows how long. But that didn't matter.
[Verse 1]
You are the one who wanted to be by my side
I was the only one I thought I could write
And I needed you more than I needed myself
You are the one who put your heart on the shelf
(Y/N) wanted to be by his side when he needed her most. Something he still was trying to figure out. He used to think he was alone in his internal battles, and sometimes the ones that surfaced with her brothers or Castiel, but he began to realize that it was he who needed her. He needed to know that she was there for him, that she wasn't going anywhere, that she was his. She had put her heart away on a shelf (to put it lightly) as she focused on helping Gabriel heal. Falling in love with him (or rather, admitting she loved him) was not something she felt he needed to know about right now. But she couldn't have been more wrong.
[Chorus]
Because you-ou-ou-ou
You take my blues away, yeah
And you-ou-ou-ou
You are my only way, yeah
One day, Gabriel found (Y/N) in the library, curled up in a chair. She was reading a book, or at least he thought she was. Turns out, she was asleep, book laid open on her lap and he didn't have the heart to wake her up. With a smile, he gently lifted her book off her lap, marked the page, and slowly lifted (Y/N) into his arms. Gabriel turned and made his way to her room, a route he knows by heart now.
Once there, as gently as he could, he laid her down on top of her bed. Standing up, he made to leave, but she had gripped his sleeve in her sleep, preventing him from leaving. Gabriel looked down and saw that (Y/N) wasn't awake, but he didn't remove her hand. Instead he just laid down next to her and she curled up next to his body. Letting himself relax, he pulled her closer and whispered in her ear, âIf only you knew just how happy I am when I'm with you. Somehow, someway, you managed to take my blues away. No one else has done that. Only you.â
(Y/N) didn't wake up to his little message, but that's okay. He could always tell her again later. Placing a kiss to her temple, Gabriel let sleep take a hold of him and they slept the afternoon away.
[Verse 2]
You let me know when I'm not being myself
You keep me going like nobody else
When those days come, I'm so bent up inside
You are my shelter when there's nowhere to hide
Along with the lapses in reality from time to time, there are some moments where Gabriel gets so upset with his grace not being at full capacity or acting up in a way he didn't want or like and he just either âexplodesâ in anger or slumps in defeat. He gets so bent up inside that he doesn't realize that he can't hide it to anyone. But no one has been able to help get him out of those moments like (Y/N) has. Even something as simple as having him help her bake treats is enough to get him smiling again. Sometimes, there are more drastic measures.
âGabriel, how about you and I go for a walk, hm? Get some fresh air?â she suggested one day when he got in a foul mood when he couldn't snap up a candy bar he had wanted.
âWhy?â he pouted, looking up at her from his seat on the couch. (Y/N) just smiled and held out her hand.
âIt might do you some good to get outside, away from the Bunker for a bit. Trust me?â He thought about it and decided that she was right. It might do some good to get away from the others for a bit. She always knew how to keep him going. Taking her hand, the two of them made their way outside and took a walk through the forest surrounding the Bunker. The underground home was a shelter in and of itself, but no one made him feel safer, more at ease, than (Y/N). When there was nowhere left to hide, she was there with a smile and a warm heart. She made him feel better.
[Chorus]
Because you-ou-ou-ou
You take my blues away, yeah
And you-ou-ou-ou
You are my only way, yeah
What Gabriel didn't know was that he also made her day seem brighter. He took her blues away, too, without even trying. All he had to do was smile and she could feel herself breathe easier. Sometimes looking after him and making sure he was alright was taxing on her, but she knew it was worth it. Sam and Dean have told her that she doesn't need to do this alone, and while they were right, Gabriel wouldn't let anyone else help him. Sure, Jack and Castiel have helped him a few times with his grace and wings, but he didn't feel complete. (Y/N) was the only one who made him feel better and he made her feel better in return. Somehow, they both managed to take the others blues away and be the one the other relied on the most.
[Verse 3]
You don't have to follow me
I'll be beside you, babe, wherever you'll be
Without your loving I don't think I'm a man
You give me something that I've never had
After some time, Gabriel healed in body and mind. Once in a while, an old memory would creep up, but nothing like before. His grace was back and his wings restored. All in all, he was back and better than ever and could leave at any time. But he chose to stay with the Winchesters; with (Y/N). And if he was being honest with himself, he didn't want to leave her. Not again. So he followed her around, went on hunts with her, to the store, where ever she went, he followed. It was mostly out of fear of losing her to something or someone. Her brothers feared he was being over dramatic and possessive, but he was truly worried for her.
âGabe, you know you don't have to follow me everywhere just to keep me safe. I can always call for you. You aren't going to lose me; I'll be by your side for as long as you'll let me,â she confessed to him one day after coming back from the store.
âI-you, wait...what?â he was a little confused by her last statement. (Y/N) just smiled and took his hand. âGabriel, we both know you love me and I'm pretty certain you know I love you too. I never said anything before because it wasn't the time. And if I'm wrong, well, you still don't have to worry about me. I'm not going anywhere.â
Gabriel just stood there for a moment, before a grin broke through and he pulled her into a hug. âOh you have no idea how long I waited to hear that,â he sighed, relaxing finally. â(Y/N), without you and your love, I don't think I'd know who I was. You gave me something I never had before: hope. Thank you.â
[Chorus]
Because you-ou-ou-ou
You take my blues away, yeah
And you-ou-ou-ou
You are my only way, yeah
She couldn't help the little chuckle that escaped her lips. âOh Gabe, I think you'd always know who you were, with or without me. But you gave me hope, too. That you'll get better, that things will turn out right, that the blues would go away. And they did. Looks like we were the thing the other needed most.â (Y/N) pulled back to look him in the eyes. He smiled back at her and pressed his forehead against hers.
âI guess this means we don't have to hide anymore?â
âNope, no more hiding. You're my only way, Gabriel. You took the blue days and made them happy. I did the same for you. Maybe lets start anew, hm? Not picking up from before, but not completely from the start. Somewhere in the middle,â she suggested.
âYeah, I like that. How about dinner tomorrow night?â he offered.
âSounds like a date,â she pressed a kiss to his cheek. He chuckled and returned the affection. Together they brought the rest of the groceries inside and put them away. Later, if one of her brothers or his family saw them curled up together on the couch, they never said a word. They didn't know what happened between them or what solution they came to, but if they were happy, then that was all they cared about.
[Chorus]
Because you-ou-ou-ou
You take my blues away, yeah
And you-ou-ou-ou
You are my only way, yeah
And you-ou-ou-ou
You take my blues away, yeah
And you-ou-ou-ou
You are my only way, yeah-eah yeah
There would still be some days where things didn't work out, they had a fight, he got stuck in a memory that he thought he forgot about, whatever the case may be. It didn't stop them. They would take a walk outside, go to a separate room to breathe and relax and then come back to the other, whatever it took to calm down and talk things out. And then they'd be right back where they left off. Nothing was ever going to be perfect with an archangel who was broken and then fixed and a hunter who stares Death in the eyes every day. But that was okay. Neither one wanted âperfectâ; they wanted someone who could take their blues days and make them shine. Someone they could talk to and just be themselves. Someone who understood them in a way only they knew about. And they were each other balance.
That was just fine with them.
[Outro]
You take my blues away, yeah
And you-ou-ou-ou
You are my only way, yeah-eah
Gabriel and Lucifer stared at you a moment longer than you'd like. You smiled shyly at them, "hey Gabe, hey Luci."
They stared at you intently, "... Y/N?" Gabriel stepped closer. He really didn't think you'd turn up at this moment, at this time.
Currently, the bar was under attack by demons but no one seemed to touch the three of you as you all stood staring at each other. "Yes, it's me... your little, old sister here to save the day."
"I thought Michael had killed you back when you tried to stop him when the Apocalypse was happening?" Lucifer said, a slight smile on his lips; apparently, you were his favourite sibling.
"He did," you started, "but Dad brought me back saying I had to help you."
Gabriel stepped closer, bringing you into a big hug, "it's good to have you back sis."
"What do you say we go kill some demons, eh?" You suggested cheerfully.

Synopsis: Y/N boyfriend tries to hurt them and Gabriel saves them.
SMACK next thing I knew I was on the floor. Id managed to make my boyfriend mad again. It started off as a little argument about how im always messing things up. This time he had a few too many drinks. Aaron was also a hunter and he knew who I was. I never hid the fact that my brothers are Sam and Dean. But with Lucifer being free now this was causing problems. Aarons little sister had been killed by a demon. Aaron decided it was mine and my brothers faults. He accused me of killing his sister who I loved dearly. I got tired of hearing him say that so I started to leave.
You don't just get to leave Y/N! You're the reason my sister is dead and i'm not going to let you do this again!
He began to kick and punch me in a blind rage then I saw the glint of a knife. He raised the knife and I waited for the impact. It didn't come then I saw his body drop beside me dead. His eyes were burned out. I felt someone pick me up I turned my head and saw Gabriel worried and eyes still glowing. He flew me to the bunker before I had a chance to say anything. Gabe sat me on the couch.
SAM DEAN GET IN HERE! Gabriel yelled
What is it G⌠oh my god. Sam said then he saw me and ran to my side
Who the hell did this? Dean said rage evident
A..Aaron. I said sheepishly
I'LL KILL HIM! Dean yelled
Already done Dean and call Cas to heal her I cant right now. Gabriel barked
Cas quickly appeared and healed me. While Sam thanked Gabe for saving me. Sam took me to my room and hugged me. Gabe was standing at my door when Sam left he let him come in. Gabe closed my door and came and sat on the bed and to my suprise started to cry.
Gabe Gabe whats wrong?
What's wrong? You could've died Y/N I can't lose you.
Gabe. I touched his hand and he looked me in the eye
Y/N I I love you okay and seeing you hurt tonight made me realize I had to tell you.
I smiled and kissed him and I wished I did earlier.
I have started writing more fan fiction here lately. It has brought happiness to my life. I have so many stories I'm writing all at once, but I wanted to finish this one. I am going to post a part two to this and it could possibly become a series, not sure yet. I hope you enjoy this one.
Pairing: Gabriel x reader

Summary: The mission was to save Jack and Mary from apocalypse world, but things go terribly wrong. This leaves you feeling like your world is crashing down around you, but it also leaves you wanting revenge.
So, there I was stuck in this apocalyptic universe with what I considered to be my family. Sam, Dean, Castiel, Gabriel, and I were on a mission to get Mary and Jack back to the real world, but of course we faced some obstacles on our way. Ends up Lucifer found his way into the apocalypse world to find Jack, we had a crazy archangel chasing us, and we had to get back to the rift before it closed. It was all just a huge mess. I just wanted to go home and happily be with my archangel, Gabriel.
When Ketch showed up at the bunker with an extremely tortured Gabriel, I couldnât believe my eyes. I thought I had lost him forever when Lucifer killed him. Long story short, Gabriel gained his grace back and made a deal with Sam and Dean that he would help them find Mary and Jack if they would help kill the demigods that sold him out to Asmodeus. They kept their promises to each other which leads us to being in this alternate universe.
We only had a few hours before the rift would close, so we had to book it. It made it difficult to do that, because we had to save the people in Bobbyâs group from the archangel Michael and his army. We got everyone on the bus and the boys and I piled into what looked like an army Jeep.
âWe need to pick up the pace if we donât want to get stuck in this hell hole.â Dean had been agitated a lot here lately, but it was understandable. He wasnât the best person to be around when he was in this mood.
âCalm down, weâre gonna get there Dean.â Sam has always been the optimist in the group.
âWe will make it. After all we have done and gone through, weâre gonna make it home.â I was looking at Gabriel the whole time I said that. He gave me a soft smile. I pressed a quick kiss to his lips and reached over and held his hand.
He leaned over and whispered in my ear and said, âI love you, (Y/N).â and I whispered to him, âI love you, Gabe. Always.â
âOkay, thatâs enough of the lovey dovey shit. Stay focused.â Dean was a grump. His strings were wound a little too tight.
We finally made it to the rift, but it was starting to fade. We had to hurry and get everyone off the bus and back to our world. Everyone was making their way through to the real world when a huge ball of fire flew down and hit the earth. The smoked cleared and it was Michael, he had found us. I was standing near the portal rushing people through and I looked up and saw Michael and Lucifer fighting. Lucifer was getting his ass kicked, which I didnât mind. He was a total douche for what he had done to my family and now he wanted to be close to Jack.
I saw Lucifer fall to the ground, blood running from his mouth. Then the worst possible thing happened. I heard Gabriel telling Sam that he was going to buy us some time. Gabriel looked at me with sad eyes.
âNO!â I yelled as I shook my head. I ran to him and wrapped my arms around his waist, trying to stop him from leaving. I loosened my hold on him and I leaned my forehead against his.
âPlease donât do this. Donât leave me. Donât make me go through this again.â I pleaded with him. I was trying my hardest to hold my tears back, but it wasnât working.
âBaby, you know I have to do this. Iâm the only one that can hold him off long enough to give all of you time to get though the rift.â I saw a tear run down his face. He kissed my forehead and pulled away from me a little bit.
âI love you, (Y/N). More than you will ever know. You will always be mine. Now, I need you to get through that rift, so I know youâre going to be safe.â He leaned down and kissed me softly.
We pulled away from each other, âI love you Gabe, with all my heart. I need you in my life, so please just come home with me. Donât do this to me.â
Tears were running down my face and he wiped them away. He kissed my forehead once more and turned to walk away from me. I tried to grab his arm, but I missed. I saw Gabe take out his angel blade and charge toward Michael. They exchanged a few punches until Michael had shoved his blade into Gabrielâs stomach.
âGABRIEL! NO!â I was yelling and sobbing. Gabriel lifted his eyes to me, they were filled with sorrow, and he mouthed to me âIâm sorryâ. I saw the life leave his eyes and then the bright light shone from it. His body fell to the ground and I took off running toward him. I felt an arm wrap around my waist. It was Dean, he pulled me to his chest and dragged me to the rift. He pulled me through to the real world. I fought like hell to get out of his arms, but I wasnât able to. I kept yelling at him to let me go. My body went limp with exhaustion. I stopped struggling and Dean slowly laid my body on the ground. I sat myself against the wall and tucked my head between my knees. I sat there crying and sobbing. Dean stood there, tears forming in his eyes as he watched me fall apart. Castiel and Jack stood there staring at me with saddened faces. Sam finally made his way back through the rift. He stopped and looked at me and then up at Dean. Sam rushed over to me and wrapped me in his arms. I was panicking at this point and it started to get harder for me to breathe.
âI feel like I canât breathe. Sam, I canât breathe.â My panic attack was getting worse and my head started to spin. Sam held me tighter. He told me to breathe in and out slowly and he ran his hand up and down my back. That helped me calm down a little bit. We sat there until I had finally calmed down. I still had tears falling. My eyes were swollen, and my vision was blurry. I was exhausted, I couldnât move my body. A million thoughts ran through my head and I couldnât stop myself from what felt like me going crazy. With the little bit of strength I had left, I picked myself up off of the floor and headed to the garage.
â(Y/N), where are you going?â I heard Sam ask. I didnât answer and he started to follow me, but Dean stopped him.
âSammy, she needs her space. Let her go.â Dean knew what I was going through, and he knew that I needed to be alone. I had to get away from all the people in that damn bunker.
Once I got to the garage, I grabbed the keys to my truck and climbed in. I left the bunker and just started driving. I drove to the place me and Gabe always went when we wanted to be alone. It was a little field in a forest with tall grass and there were daisies everywhere. The trees acted as a canopy that hung over the field and when the sun shone through the leaves it was so beautiful. As many times as we had been there, that place always took my breath away. This place meant so much to me. The first time Gabriel told me he loved me we were laying down beside each other looking up at the light shining through the trees and he pulled me into his arms against his chest. I could hear his heart beating and that sound lulled me to sleep.
I finally made it to the field. I went to the middle of it and sat down. There were daisies surrounding me and the only sounds that I heard were the birds singing. I was completely alone, and it was the first time I was able to process what had just happened. I was alone with my thoughts which was extremely dangerous. I never thought I would have had to say good bye to him so soon. I had just gotten him back and now I was by myself again. I started crying again and some awful thoughts ran through my head. How was I supposed to live without him? I laid down on my back and looked up at the trees. I started to sob and weep and I continued to do that until I had cried myself to sleep.
When I had woken up, there was just a little bit of daylight left. I got up off the ground and made my way back to my truck. I got in and cranked it up. All I could think about was Gabriel the whole time I was driving back to the bunker. I wanted him to be there waiting for me to return. I wanted to hear his voice, hear him call me all those cute nicknames he made up just for me. I just wanted him. I knew I wasnât going to get that back. I started to grow angry. Angry at Gabriel, angry at Lucifer, but I was especially angry at Michael. Every time I thought about Michael, my rage grew. I wanted his head on a fucking platter and thatâs what I was going to get. He was as good as dead.
