i mean this in both the angriest and the most loving way possible but metoidioplasty doesn’t get nearly enough love, and i’d personally prefer it if people could like?? treat transmasc bodies and surgeries with respect?? idk it’s very transparent how y’all feel about meta dicks when some of you can’t go too long without using “shrimp dick” or something of that sort as an insult

the sequel: post metoidioplasty trans man ✌🏻
i wish ppl didnt shit so hard on (transmasc) bottom surgery man. i feel like i wouldve looked into a metoidioplasty a lot sooner if i hadnt seen all of the negativity and stigma surrounding phallo and metoidioplasties. but as soon as i actually looked into it i realized it was something i want! extremely bad! and i feel like a lot of other transmascs would want bottom surgery if they actually knew more about different types and results
Pelvic floor dysfunctions following genital gender-affirming surgery are an emerging issue. Adequate information for each surgical procedure
Results: Twenty-five papers were considered for systematic review, while 17 studies were included for meta-analysis. There was significant statistical heterogeneity across the included studies. Among transwomen who had undergone vaginoplasty, pelvic organ prolapse occurred in 1%-7.5% of patients, urinary incontinence affected up to 15% of patients, while urinary irritative symptoms up to 20%. Sexual dysfunctions were reported by 25%-75% of patients. Among transmen who underwent hysterectomy and phalloplasty, pelvic organ prolapse occurred in 3.8% of patients, urinary incontinence affected up to 50% of patients, while urinary irritative symptoms up to 37%. Finally, sexual dysfunctions were reported by 54% of patients.

anyways!! metoidioplasties are beautiful!! meta cocks are literal perfection!! more love for trans cock!!
hello, i hope you're doing okay after surgery
i have a question for you
i'm a trans femboy and i really want bottom surgery. not having a penis feels so deeply wrong to me, in sexual situations as well as just everyday living. from my understanding i would have to take testosterone for a while before (and after?) metoidioplasty or phalloplasty not just to prove my transness to a doctor but because my health would be at risk without it. but i really, really don't want any of the effects of testosterone aside from bottom growth. i'm already hairy from pcos and i hate it so being more hairy would bother me. i don't want a more masculine face. i don't want a deeper voice or for my fat placement to change. to put it in the simplest terms, i want to look like a cis woman but i want to have a penis.
is there any way for me to achieve this? or would i have to suffer through testosterone to get the genitals that i need? am i overlooking some other option?
(when i say "suffer through testosterone" i mean for me specifically i would be suffering, not that testosterone in general causes people suffering. wanted to make that clear in case it was misinterpreted. i'm autistic and anxious about stuff like that.)
you know, i don't think you 100% have to go on testosterone in order to get bottom surgery, or, at the very least, a significant amount- this is a really good question. i'm with you, i also need bottom surgery. my bottom dysphoria is definitely the most painful aspect of my body dysphoria. it's very hard to go through that.
i don't think there's any reason you should have to increase your hormones to levels that would bring you genuine discomfort like that, i don't really know if it's 100% necessary, especially if you already have somewhat high testosterone levels. i would love for some feedback from the community on this, and also to provide as many resources as i have:
i know that there are 'non binary' so to speak options for phalloplasty
(this is from an ask that wished to remain anonymous- we have anons turned off for the moment. we will turn them back on once we're in less
Phalloplasty is a gender-affirming surgery that creates a penis using tissue taken from the forearm, leg, back, abdomen or hip/groin.
Metoidioplasty, or meta, is a gender-affirming surgery that creates a phallus using existing genital tissue that has been enlarged by testos
There's an increasing number of surgeons who offer an individualized approach to Phalloplasty for non-binary people seeking bottom surgery.
Our surgeons offer FTM Surgery, or female to male surgery, a group of gender-affirming surgery procedures for trans masculine people.
does anyone have any input on whether this anon needs to increase their hormone levels in order to go ahead with these surgeries, or should they be fine as is? i hope we can get you some information. good luck for the time being, take care of yourself
Dear trans people, especially transmascs:
DO NOT let radfems scare you out of bottom surgery. YOU are the one who gets to make that decision not them. Phalloplasty and metoidioplasty are not scary, they are not ugly, it is not bad to want or get bottom surgery.
There is more to phallo and metoidio than scary directly post op surgery photos. PLEASE go look at r/phallo and r/metoidioplasty I promise you won't regret doing so. Please talk to your surgeons and other trans people directly about the recovery process. Bottom surgery is not gross. It's not a "fake" dick. And cis men get phalloplasty too. Phalloplasty was actually created specifically for cis men with genital injuries, originally.
There's a lot of TERFs, Radfems, and various bigots in the phallo and metoidio tags and I just want you guys to know that their opinions should have 0 effect on your choice. Block them. Starve them of air. They're looking to scare people, to scare you and demonize bottom surgery and other trans people out of supporting us.
Phalloplasty and metoidioplasty look fucking great and anyone who says otherwise and anyone who body shames you for having or wanting either of them can suck it.
